When applying FCC hack, make sure to switch the mode back to auto so the goggles can switch to the different channels based on its needs.
As I discovered here in Virginia where trees are everywhere, it doesn't matter how much power one is pumping out trees will absorb signals like nothing else, so great results through all those trees.
when in FCC mode you should have set it to automatic so that the goggles will automatically select the stronger or 1 of the 3 channel. compared to manually selecting just 1 channel, Goggles can't select stronger channel and is forced to stay in the selected channel only.
So I also just bought the avata. Yesterday I could go about 700 m with FCC mode. Altitude was around 80/100 just a few trees in front. When I went lower it kinda immediately went in fail save RTH. I was hoping I could go further in FCC.
Oh and I was on the country side. Not much houses nearby.

This was by far a great video! With the added treat of the mountain dive at the end.
I just have one Q though - did try the ham_cfg_support 0 byte file copy into the root of the microSD card folder and restarted the Avata, MC and the Goggles V2, however I still see only CH1 in 40Mhz and 3 channels in 20 and 10 Mhz. Am i still in CE mode? What am i doing wrong not to get 3 channels in 40Mhz? I am based in France and Spain.
Looks like you’re in CE ye. Take the sd card out and in again and make sure to have the ham file placed at the first location when you open it on your computer along with the 2,3 folders which are there
Good test, but I think that controller have no influence to video signal. controller is just for movement controlling.

I was considering to get this drone but this is totally a deal breaker for me. And the hack i believe is illegal, so not an option for me, too bad because i was about to order one😢

The option "channel mode" is disabled in my goggles 2, with the "Auto" automatically selected.
I bought it 2 months ago in Switzerland and not sure about how to make it enable for then apply the hack.
Any suggestion about how to solve this? thank you very much!

Auto is auto, you have to set it to manual
i am new to fpv and my question is what is the difference of the image of these two goggles . I will not be racing or do doing crazy freestyle , i'm more interested in the immersion of the image i'm seeing around me than an image for accurate flying . i just bought a Skyzone Cobra X goggle and the image is really crisp but for me it's like watching TV across a dark room . I'm going to buy the AVATA Combo but i want to get the right Goggle match for me . Price is not an issue . I've heard several people on RUclips rave about the sharpness of the new Goggles 2 but they prefer the immersion the older V2 googles have .
