This couple is very, very unique among travel vloggers on RUclips in that they are probably the only ones to pass judgement that "Japanese are better at English than Koreans" or "Tokyo transportation system is better than Seoul's." I think it's the result of the superficiality of their obsevations rather than anything prejudice or preferential mindset. They are definitely not the world's most intelligent or observant people. 😉
I'm from Singapore and visited Seoul for the first time about 4-5 weeks back. There was lots to do, never a boring moment, but I never felt at home there. Even got berated by an old guy for mistakenly using the "old people seats" on a half empty train. I note that you found the South Koreans very friendly and helpful tho, which is great! I suppose the fact that you guys were visibly foreign (i.e. not east asian) may have helped too.
Thank you for the comparison. Very informative. If you are still in Seoul, try Itaewon area for diversity in food. Whenever you get to LA, contact us and we will treat you to an assortment of Korean food and explain how to eat them properly as well as the stories behind the food. As an example, the proper way to eat Korean BBQ is to start with non marinated meat so you can enjoy the taste of the meat them move onto marinated meat. Good video!

As a Korean, and I'm proud of our food culture, but I gotta admit that when its food comes with the "average", I would go for Japan as well. Just walk into any random restaurant in Tokyo, and it would never let you down. But the thing I don't understand is that transportation in Tokyo is easier than Seoul? I think it's because you guys tried to start from bus... Tokyo is a huge city and the subway lines are ran by multiple companies, so metro ticket pass doesn't cover every single stations. I agree with other things tho :)
We did love the food in Korea and definitely will have to come back and try some more! The food in Japan is for sure very delicious too. The bus was a mistake by us hahah!! Thanks so much for your kind comment friend :)
You are always positive and active, so you seem to enjoy every city in any country. Each country is so precious to its people that you are talking about the advantages of being considerate to respect them as much as you can here. Just like When you make friends, the more you know their past, the more you can understand them, the better it is for each country to know their history. I believe that Korea will be better understood if you remember that the whole country was in ruins only a few decades ago due to the Korean War. also If you have a local friend, you were introduced to a good restaurant and place . It would've been much better and cheaper. You're really wonderful people who deserve to be welcomed anywhere, by anyone. I love You ❤
All three cities are very attractive cities. Although it is the same Asia, I think that the difference in how people interact with each other is due to their childhood education. For example, parents teach their children not to trust others in China, not to lose to others in Korea, and not to trouble others in Japan.
Awesome video guys...Our family just spent 2 weeks in Japan, having our last day of 2 weeks in Thailand today and off to Singapore tomorrow so this was super relevant! Agree Tokyo food is cheapest..even more than Thailand for us 🤷♀️.. so far we think Phuket has the friendliest people 😊
A foreigner who used to be the number one channel subscriber in the world came to live in Japan from England. Goodbye from Japan! Stay away from these two!
I am Korean living in Seoul and now traveling in Tokyo. Firstly both cities are very similar 80% and also somewhat different 20%. I think Tokyo is bigger and more crowded but also boring and calm. People are very polite and nice but they seem somewhat introvert and slow. And to me Japanese women are very cute in their make up and fashion style and have beautiful smiles. ❤ My favorite asian megacity is Bangkok. Peolple are nice and foods are fantastic the tastes are another level with very low prices and vive is energetic I really want to live there if given chance.
Been living in Tokyo for 10 years and traveled to Singapore and Seoul 2x. I love Korea but too much Kpop for me to be honest. Korea has great food...chicken is amazing. Singapore was so small, but modern and convenient. I loved it. I would move there for a year. Tokyo is fantastic. Love the trains, food and all. Easy to get around the other cities by bullet trains. My Number 1. Tokyo. 2. Singapore. 3. Seoul
This is a "brave" video. I have never been to Korea, so I shall not comment on Korea/Seoul. Japan is the place I go for vacations (Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe, Sapporo/Hokkaido). And yeah, the train system in Tokyo can be daunting and confusing, but while it manages the domestic "metro", high speed shinkansens are also running through. You gotta give them props for that. But yes, to a tourist trying to navigate the (unfamiliar) system, it can be confusing, daunting, and complicated. And yes, Kombini (7-11/7i, Lawson, Seicomart, etc) food is fantastic and soooooo affordable. And all the other eateries - catering to hungry salarymen. And the vending machines! For food, drinks (even beer!) I love the food choices in Japan! Even those in their kombini. But as a Singaporean, my comfort food are Singaporean food. Not a critique. Just a personal preference. The best part of Japan is the authentic Japanese food at very affordable prices. But when I want my comfort food, Singapore. (As an aside, you can get naan in Japan, but it's just naan... without the ambience of little India). (And I get what you mean about Korean food. I don't care for Korean food. It's not bad tasting. The various dishes just all seems the same to me.) Anyway, thanks for saying Singapore is the coolest. I would say, that Singapore is a great way to experience Asia (like India) if you are not linguistically talented (speak mainly English), and aren't quite ready to "rough it" in the wilds. Singapore is "Asia Easy" - just pack your credit card 🙂 But the REAL test of which city has won your heart is, how you answer this question: If you could afford (time and money) to go to any ONE of these three cities, which would you choose, and for how long? I may be prejudiced against my own country, but there isn't much else to do after Jewel, the Bay area (MBS, Gardens by the Bay/Supertrees, Merlion), Botanic Gardens, Wildlife Reserves Parks (Zoo, River Wonders, Night Safari, Bird Paradise), Sungei Buloh Wetlands, Sentosa Island (S.E.A Aquarium, Universal Studios, Beaches, other attractions), Changi Village & Pulau Ubin. Oh wait, there's the Casinos. Usually, for locals, by this time we'd be planning to go up to Malaysia, or scoot over to Batam/Bintang. Or fly to Japan. (My personal choice.) If you return to Tokyo, you can go up to Hokkaido (I love Sapporo and Asahikawa... actually the whole of Hokkaido!) I'm sure there are lots of places in Korea you can't wait to explore outside Seoul. (Just remember, you will have to continue to eat Korean food all the time you are there!) If I were a betting man (and hey, my country has TWO casinos!), I'd say if you could go back, you would choose to go back to Tokyo and explore more of Japan. Let me know if I guessed right!
That is such a hard questions haha!! Honestly we got to explore a few different cities in Japan and we also really loved Sapporo on Hokkaido island! We definitely want to go back to Japan to see more and maybe in the winter. Singapore just feels special to us though so it is a tough call haha! We also really loved Jeju island in Korea. So I guess after all that, we still can't decide haha🤪 thank you for your comment :)

Seoul is so beautiful!! Of course, they are all beautiful in their own ways! We are happy you enjoyed the video and thank you for watching :)
You should have taken into consideration accommodation when speaking of 'affordability' JAPAN IS NOT CHEAP and you put that top. I went Japan and accommodation was pricy.
It can be pricey but we found it more affordable than the other two! But everyone has different experiences :) Thank you for watching!

@@JacobandJennyTravel It was obvious from your first video in Korea you were totally unprepared and making ham-handed approach to Seoul transportation. (Getting on the wrong bus without first checking where it is headed, etc.)

Seoul is good for sightseeing, Tokyo is good for living, Singapore is hot all year round ㅋㅋㅋ
Sounds about right!! :) thanks for watching!!
Singapore is small country not a city. Definitely there are alot things to do in Singapore.
Right, Singapore is great :)

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion ;)
I'm from Singapore and visited Seoul for the first time about 4-5 weeks back. There was lots to do, never a boring moment, but I never felt at home there. Even got berated by an old guy for mistakenly using the "old people seats" on a half empty train. I note that you found the South Koreans very friendly and helpful tho, which is great! I suppose the fact that you guys were visibly foreign (i.e. not east asian) may have helped too.
Oh wow that is really interesting! We love your home Singapore so much :) thanks for watching!

Taxis in Colombia are soo cheap too! Such a good tip for Seoul!

Good video!
We are so happy you enjoyed it!! And we definitely will, thank you so much for your hospitality ☺️☺️

It is just not what we expected :) thanks for watching!
T money card를 서울에서 사용했다면 아마 평가가 달라졌을 거에요. 일본의 30%만 지불하면 됩니다.😅
That is good to know! Thanks for sharing :)

There are many restaurants in Seoul, but some of them are unprofessional chef. You need to look into a goggle rating before you enter the restaurants.

Best food, Singapore !!! Period.
Food in Singapore is delicious!
All three cities are very attractive cities. Although it is the same Asia, I think that the difference in how people interact with each other is due to their childhood education. For example, parents teach their children not to trust others in China, not to lose to others in Korea, and not to trouble others in Japan.
I never learned not to lose to others...?😮??

Thank you so much friend!! Hopefully some day we will run into each other :)
My favorite asian megacity is Bangkok. Peolple are nice and foods are fantastic the tastes are another level with very low prices and vive is energetic I really want to live there if given chance.
They are both wonderful you are right!! We love Bangkok as well, and the food there is so delicious!! Thank you for watching :)
Tokyo. 2. Singapore. 3. Seoul
Wow you have been around too!! We agree! Thank you for watching :)
Seoul subway is cheap clean safe and convenient....It is famous globally^^ good luck ~
We loved it the last trip we took there! Thanks for watching :)
The various dishes just all seems the same to me.)
Anyway, thanks for saying Singapore is the coolest. I would say, that Singapore is a great way to experience Asia (like India) if you are not linguistically talented (speak mainly English), and aren't quite ready to "rough it" in the wilds. Singapore is "Asia Easy" - just pack your credit card 🙂
But the REAL test of which city has won your heart is, how you answer this question: If you could afford (time and money) to go to any ONE of these three cities, which would you choose, and for how long?
(My personal choice.)
If you return to Tokyo, you can go up to Hokkaido (I love Sapporo and Asahikawa... actually the whole of Hokkaido!)
I'm sure there are lots of places in Korea you can't wait to explore outside Seoul. (Just remember, you will have to continue to eat Korean food all the time you are there!)
If I were a betting man (and hey, my country has TWO casinos!), I'd say if you could go back, you would choose to go back to Tokyo and explore more of Japan.
