the engineering these tuning companies do is really impressive. These are relatively inexpensive sports cars putting up crazy performance numbers. Ofcourse you have to be pretty skilled to not die at the wheel however.
It's like almost every Japanese cars are built with motorsports in mind. The Japanese use motorsports as some kind of R&D laboratory.

I thought this one was a hard one to call. I have an MR-S myself and thought it did look more smooth in the corners but that civic was an absolute animal and took a real expert do drive hard like that. One heck of a civic.

Shingo didn't have 235 hp though
After watching Initial D where the Capicino raced the AE86, Takumi had to rely on the straights to win the match in the wet because there was no way he could have beaten the Capicino in dry conditions partly because the Capicino had a superior power to weight ratio and also it would have had more grip in the dryer corners.

Narrower tires at the rear maybe the reason the eg6 was having oversteer. But also, maybe that is why the hatchback can corner albeit not as good as the MRS. It does need a rear wing

As much as I love the 86 I respect the civic and the s2000.The endless war between ae86s and various Honda’s of the 90s has to stop. The AE86 started the n/a high power( high rpm) low weight platform and Honda with the s2000 successfully perfected it to a point where there is not enough room to improve. All AE86 and Honda fanboys should stop fighting between which is the best and respect each for what it is.
