Atomstack was kind enough to send me their new laser engraver to try, so I thought I would put it to the ultimate test!

Try sanding the edge that doesn't have light on it to keep some of the light inside it.

Hi Kiara, great presentation, a few questions if you don't mind. I presume you used cast acrylic which is better for light transmission? Did you use the trace feature in lightburn to prep your artwork? Could you have used fill instead of line (lightburn) ? . I would have thought speed and power output settings would give better results and negate the need to paint the rear of the material? i.e. on my chinese CO2 laser I use 200mm/s and 20% power of 80 Watts, I spray the surface with a solution of weak dishsoap and water to prevent blooming and of course no air assist. have a look at XSTRON for LED strip. I would welcome your advice.
