Buying a home really showed who my real friends were. I lived in a small apartment for years saving and never told anyone I was moving up or my salary blew up, just saved. Once I got a very nice home and had friends over I knew who was really my friend. Your real friends will be happy for you. I had an older group of "friends" who just got really weird around me and stopped inviting/talking to me eventually. I have a handful of people who I consider amazing friends and appreciate them even more now. Jealousy is an ugly petty thing but its real and real friends shouldn't feel it it all. Its a character failing that's on them. Made me put more attention into who I bring into my life and why. Should be no drama with others, friends should have fun and be happy for each other.

I feel so blessed to have parents who authentically love my husband of 11 years. They always ask about him whenever we talk and when we go to visit he is cooking with and for my parents. He cooks Mexican food for them and she has taught him how to cook soul food. I don't care one bit what others think. I have the blessing and love of my inmediate family. Bask in the love of your marriage and those who support you.
