The fact that a good portion of these comments are debating whether or not she's actually "physically ugly" defeats the purpose of the video and what she's trying to say. Sad.
Cora LovesGlam I know what she is trying to say. But she does it because she thought a lot about her apperiance in the past. We all want to be loved and seen as beautifull on the insde AND outside. Its a fact. And its not ok saying: its ok I may see myself as ugly, but there are other things important than that. Because and this is the sad truth: its very important in this society to be beautifull. And being ugly, I mean physically ugly, is only possible if you see yourself like that. You can accept it and stay ugly, you can avoid it and also stay ugly or you can deny it and voila you are beautifull. Without surgery, without makeup, without anything. Beauty is not always something that is physical, its something in your attitude. If you are physically beautifull and you know that, well congrats. But if you are not, but you think it anyways, you are also beautifull. But if you think, well I am not beautifull, but it doesn't matter, other things are more important. Well they are, but it doesn't change the fact that you think you are ugly. And so will other people see you too. And I think its all started, because other people told her once she is ugly. And instead of finding out her outer beauty, she tells a lot about other things that matter in this life. I know its not the most important thing in the world to be beautifull. For me its health and independence. But even I lay in hospital, when I had a good day, I did my make up. I care for myself with doing make up, because it was the only way I could care for myself at all.
I agree. With comments like that, people are just admitting that physical appearance means everything to them. They can't understand that there are some other people that simply don't care about physical appearance. Why would you have say to anyone that he/she is pretty or ugly? Only shallow people do that. To me, personality is everything. If you're good and intelligent person, that's all I need to be good with someone.
Cora LovesGlam everyone these days is so obsessed with physical appearance that it doesn’t matter how ‘beautiful’ we are on the inside anymore ... also sad
Yup. I think they're just projecting their own insecurities on her. For people who base their entire self-worth on their looks it's probably intimidating to meet someone who gives zero fucks, so they try to pull her down to their level.
I feel like this is what the internet is about. A woman simply expressing her inner thoughts about existence, broadcasted for anyone to see and kept online forever. It's history documented
I love this attitude. There's such emotional intelligence and strength behind being able to find fulfillment in yourself, and to not feel the need to compare yourself to other people and to realize that attractiveness is arbitrary and insignificant in a lot of ways
LMFAO intelligence? What else is she supposed to do? Compare herself daily to everyone around her and feel depressed? Forgetting about looks is her only path to potential happiness. There is nothing intelligent about it. Attractiveness is certainly mostly not arbitrary, and for most people it is significant. It only stops being if you decide to ignore it, but it's only your perception that changes, not reality
As an ugly girl, I just want to share the most important thing I’ve learned: that I shouldn’t let what beauty I have go to waste just because I don’t have the beauty that I wanted. There’s a lot of beauty in kind eyes, work worn hands, and smiling lips.
you don't born to be convectionally beautiful, but you do it trough a process of self improvement, fitness, chirurgy and so on, being beatiful isn't just having a pretty face, but also a strong personality and an "healthy" body both things were people nowayds don't care about enough, they don't take care of themselves by letting themselves become obese, without gettin any decent air cut, by dressing decently and so onn then they blame the society for not considering them attractive, start do as much as you can to improve yourself and stop comparing to the others, that's whrn you will reach success.
Well if you don’t think you’re beautiful you could just fix it. These days you can go as far as plastic surgery. The girl in this video would be super good looking if she grew out her hair, got rid of her glasses, straightened her teeth, got some acne creams etc. Most women that are good looking today weren’t born like that. They artificially changed how they looked. Most women would look like this girl if there wasn’t so much pressure to be pretty
@@NegativeAccelerate bruh..I see your perspective and that you are suggesting because you care but people are more then their bodies. I have a friend that’s so incredibly beautiful. was a plus size model and a weather girl. she got a surgery to make her stomach tiny so she wouldn’t be plus sized. and had some ribs removed. she can’t feel if her mouth is open or closed due to a facial procedure. she only eats 4 ounces of food a day. now i’m her only friend. the only one that’s not grossed out when she dry heaves, hiccups, vomit comes out of her nose if she burps and she passes gas pretty much all day. sometimes she can’t make it to the bathroom :( her instagram pictures are very popular. the guys who show interest in her and want to meet up have no idea what she goes through…. I will always protect her. I’m not pretty but I’m emotionally strong and street smart. I do hope she finds a partner one day though..
but we can have both. my god, it's almost like pretty people cannot be good people. life is not black or white, we can focus on our appearance and still focus on our internal journey.
@@LauraLaura-mv4xh The point is that society holds beauty in an overly high place and makes people forget other things they have and could do. That's what the video is about, not that pretty people aren't good people or that caring about your appearance is bad.
Physically she would do just fine with a better haircut, contacts instead of glasses and some makeup... but what she really says is that the physical beauty is the least important one, because it's superficial
Love this! I have a sister who just passed away, and she said while she was sick that she wished she'd worried less about how she looked and more that she had a body and it worked and was healthy! ❤
no, actually, everyone in comments be like “omg everyone stop saying she’s pretty did you even watch the video”. I’ve seen two comments actually saying she’s pretty. Fuck outa here hypocrite
@@aerbald beauty can be an accomplishment. Going to the gym requires time and dedication. Yes those people are born with good bone structure but the accomplishment is maintaining that appearance so that they can be happy with themselves
That is kinda BS I used to be hella fat and put in hella work and stuff and I look way better I think it does come easier for some people (being good looking) but really you can work out your facial muscles and get a jawline/ basically what I'm saying is it is an accomplishment
Turk Means Strong! Oh my god fuck off! Our generation definitely still reads books, and stop acting like you’re so above people playing PS4 when you’re commenting on a RUclips video
You are wise beyond your years and your not ugly in the slightest. Not physically, mentally or spiritually. The world needs more people like you in it. God bless.
i dont think she's ugly at all either, shes just.. normal. i think the fact this video has been made really goes to show social media ruins our perspective.
Feeling beautiful IS though. She said she avoids mirrors, and feels insecure sometimes. Anytime she goes to the restroom she cannot avoid the mirrors. Her features are symmetrical, eyes are pretty. It would be low maintenance to have a short haircut that won't allow the hair to stick upward & a shampoo/conditioner for her hair type plus a facewash for her skin type. I'm not a makeup type of girl, barely brush my hair, but I use some inexpensive yet proper products for skin and hair, my hair is layered, short, and frayed for easy care. Daily hair washing would be even easier if she rocked a shorter haircut and it might make her feel as beautiful as she actually IS.
Indiawalker27 it's not people's fault for thinking that way when society has been feeding us all these beauty standards, on what is considered beautiful or handsome, and what isn't, since the dawn of time. Whether that's through media, advertisements, or peer pressure, it ultimately creates this narrow perspective into your mind that you start following. I mean, we've been subconsciously told to do this our whole lives. Edit: Its also completely natural to want to look beautiful. Animals such as peacocks and certain birds "show off" their feathers in order to attract mates and get partners. We do the same thing when trying to look for a partner. It's completely natural and instinctual. It's just that the standards these days are ridiculously high.
Indiawalker27 Nobody give a shit. Subconsciously everyone loves beautiful people and hates ugly people. Looks are the only thing that matters in modern society.
I was listening to her and realised that I spend so much time thinking about the way I look, its sad actually. And there are many people that spend more time than me thinking about it..
Anja R TRUE. I waste a lot of time worrying and thinking about my looks and it’s so ridiculous. I’m getting better though! I think many aspects in society just make girls or just people in general a bit insecure no matter how you look!

@@Danuxsy I mean humans probably do look really weird if you're looking from an Aliens perspective lol. Upright walking meat sacks, with fur only growing out of the top of their heads, all different shapes and sizes. Pretty wild
You took words out of my mind and actually made them less chaotic and incoherent. I'm ugly and fat. And that's absolutely fine with me. My attractivness to other people is not what I take a sense of worth from. And there is so many other things I want to be: be a more confident artist, be more dedicated pagan, be able to rollerblade, be a better friend, be more able to cope with life... pretty is so low on priorities right now it's not even on the list. There is so many people in my life (hi mom!) that just can't wrap their head around the idea.
Yeah, the point isn’t whether or not she’s ugly. The point is that there’s so much more to life than just your appearance. And that being ugly isn’t the end of the world.
We can get the point of the video and still tell her we don't think she's ugly. We want to say nice things to other people. We're also so used to people fishing for compliments in life and social media that we're almost programmed to compliment people when they say they don't measure up in some way. She's not actually fishing for compliments, of course, but comes off as such a sweet, smart, interesting person that it's like a natural instinct for me to want to comfort her and tell her she's fucking beautiful and amazing. I won't though. But I understand why people would.
@@burpreynolds3250 Theyre not commenting their opinnion. Theyre trying to make this person feel better by saying "youre beautiful" when actually they dont think that. This person has heard those words probably a billion times to the point where even she knows that its bullshit. Thats the point.
I honestly found her quite attractive, even more so when she started talking and expressing her feelings. She seems very intelligent, strong and articulate. Those things are very attractive qualities
I found this when I was around 12-15 years old and I just had to come back to it to just say how grateful I was for this video and accepting myself through highschool.
I think ugly is a state in which someone presents themselves. It is an attitude and demeanor which goes beyond physical terms. The fact that you can accept what you think is "ugly" is the reason why you are so much more beautiful than so many people out there. Your vast understanding and high level reasoning makes me feel so superficial due to the importance I've put on looks. It has no substance. You have substance. You have something real. You have something intangible. Keep your magic forever.
Lottie J-Urie Is it weird that I don't really look at people as ugly or beautiful? Like I have to have a relationship with someone before I can view them as ugly or beautiful. But it's not even beauty I'm seeing, it's kindness and intellect. And it's not ugly that I'm seeing, it's a shitty personality. Did any of that make sense or is there just something wrong with me?
Andy Genett I know you’re trying to say something positive, but idk I still don’t think it’s quite right to compare people’s beauty like that. There’s just so much to consider when it comes to beauty.
No one is really ugly nor is anyone really beautiful. We are multidimensional and can actually exhibit both qualities simultaneously, but those terms should not define us. I grew up in a very shallow community where the standard of beauty or attractiveness is a very narrow list of certain characteristics. Since I was the only member of my family who didn’t meet this standard, I am referred to as “the ugly sister” in those circles. Fortunately, I moved far away from that place many years ago and refuse to see people in such a ridiculous way. You articulated this position magnificently. Thank you so much!
She has beautiful features and eyes. If she wore make up and did her hair, she would be ‘beautiful.’ She doesn’t choose to do that and I think it’s great.
I’m blown away by your mind. You’re obviously a deep thinker and you’re able to see things in an new way and communicate it clearly and concisely to us, which I really admire

Honestly, you’re not even ugly. It’s the way your hair is styled and the shape of the glasses don’t flatter you very much in my opinion. But It’s your style and if you are happy with it, that’s all that matters! I also like the points you made in the video :)
Right? That's what i thought too. A nice haircut/hairstyle and glasses that actually suit is all she needs. She's Pretty too. It's just we're over exposed to fake altered beauty
@Brother Paul It’s not coping, it’s the simple truth. Nobody works hard to be beautiful, you were born beautiful or you weren’t. No effort put in at all. Do you think being born with a pretty face is an accomplishment?
@Brother Paul That does not make it an accomplishment. To me, being beautiful is something you were born with. Do you train to become beautiful in the womb? No, there was no effort put in at all. Nothing. An accomplishment is something you gain after working towards it. I have good eyesight, is that an accomplishment of mine or is it something I was born with?
@Brother Paul Yes, I have. I think having successful surgery is an accomplishment and they can be proud of that accomplishment because it’s something they worked towards getting IE money, time, etc.
100% agree....I see comments saying "you are beautiful"....its all fucking bullshit...............she is an ugly person..FACT.....an ugly person who is just coping with her situation,,thats the point of this video................I cant stand good looking people who tell ugly people that they are "beautiful" when they know its pure B.S.
A quote that resonates with me through this video was by F. Scott Fitzgerald, “No, she wasn't beautiful for something as temporary as her looks. She was beautiful, deep down to her soul. She is beautiful.”
That was truly beautiful ❤ thank you for sharing that. Also I think that everyone feels "ugly" or "beautiful" from time to time but it comes down to the meaning we give to these labels
People keep telling her to put on makeup and style her hair to be pretty. Apparently the point was not clear enough. Her intelligence, depth of thinking, and understanding are far, far more beautiful than some mascara and foundation. Ah society, we have been labelling the wrong things as beautiful
Exactly. No matter how much you love yourself it will never change what other people see when they look at you... and if you're not attractive you will be rejected and alone, simple as that. Having a great personality doesn't help at all either
I love your comment and love uall i need self confiance follow my instagram and send me a message about it i want to talk about that my IG : purpose69_
sam bandora Believe me but no matter how attractive you are everyone has something they don’t like about themselves, we are all beautiful remember that :)
I don't agree with that. Don't be proud to be ugly because if you would be proud, that would mean that we never have to brush our teeth, never take a shower etc. Don't be proud to be ugly. Just don't care what other think about you and try to get the best out of you. Inside and outside.
ngl i thought she was a guy in the thumbnail, not ugly, just a normal guy. when saw her face closer up and realized she was a girl i thought it was really cool. idk but i definitely wouldn't say she's ugly. something about her facial features just work together so well that make her look so much more interesting (not in a bad way) to look at than any instagram model i've seen (cause they all look the same). idk her face is may not be beautiful but i like looking at it
You are not ugly. It is strange that you think that. You have a very pleasant face. I like looking at it. You have beautiful eyes and great teeth. And your smile is very bright. I just think we all need to realize that 80 to 90% of us are average. And that is okay. That isnt bad. We enhance what we have if we want and call it a day. But the best thing about you is your mind. You are an amazing communicator. Sharp, crisp and sparkly.
It was spoken poetically in Russian, there will always be slight differences in interpretations and translations of a saying from one language to another hence the phrase "lost in translation." Taking into account how expressive Russian is; what I and what you translated it as, the context of it still stands.
Being beautiful could be a sign of many things which are beneficial. General health to start with, stronger progeny and very likely chance of a healthier mental state.
What about the countless infertile 'pretty' women and the 'ugly' women that pop out babies like a machine gun? What about the 'pretty' women that can't do shit but look 'pretty'?
Made 10 years ago and still making an impact. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Sometimes it's very hard to keep things in perspective. This coming from someone who was never conventionally pretty, but in recent years just keeps losing what little there was to various health conditions... permanent hairloss and facial discolouration being the worst offenders :')

This was EXACTLY the way I used to think during elementary and most of middle school, but somewhere along the way it just slowly faded. I'm pretty sure it was social media, though it was honestly so subtle I couldn't even tell until the damage was done.
she's not only fucking intelligent - the way she talks you can really HEAR it - her voice and eyes also are so damn beautiful it's so sad to see wonderful, inspiring and interesting people disliking their appeareance but YOU GO GIRL

Oh come off it Nina there's nothing more frustrating than condescension through comments like "you are beautiful for this that or the other" No, leave it out. If you're physically ugly then beauty is immediately ruled out because it's a measure of physical appearance. Don't try to push this nonsense mangling of the term. Ugly people like myself still like to admire beauty and it's hard to do when you bastardise the term for "muh feelings".
Oh. My. Lord. You. I'm speechless. You're so smart and so confident, why is this video not famous? You're gonna make it big, please keep being the way you are. Your way of thinking is truly a gift.
honestly I have never found anyone ugly looking? I genuinely see beauty in everyone. I look at you and I see piercing big blue eyes, straight white teeth a calming voice and a educated mind.. we should never put ourselves down. We are all made the way we are made. Ugly is made up within our society. Your beautiful and I like your outlook on things but never put your self down.
whenever i look at a person more than 5 or 10 seconds they all started looking beautifull to my eyes ... they all have something special that make them beautiful in their own way. I am saying that from my heart.
Once I started accepting the fact that I am ugly, the word "ugly" took on a new definition. It became more of a concept. An ever changing opinion. Ugly and pretty are two sides of the same coin. Honestly, I don't find anyone ugly anymore. I feel like I have been released from society's idea of the ideal body and beauty standards have become so trivial. I also became less judgmental of others. I see people as humans. There are still days where I feel terrible about myself, but I'm trying to look at myself how I look at others. I still see people that are "ugly" "pretty" "cute" "fat" "skinny" but they are still people. We are conditioned to label people the moment we see them. I've learned to look past that and I've begun to realize how beautiful everyone is. Not because of how they look, but simply because they are human. Humans are amazing! You can be ugly and beautiful at the same time :) You are beautiful. I'm not saying it as a compliment. It's simply my belief. Thank you for this video.
I thought I was the only one. Like when I was a kid I thought of everyone as beautiful. No one was ugly to me when it comes to appearance. As in no one. I didn't focus much on the looks, I focused on people's character n' how they treated me. But now I'm all grown up and I've got a taste of society's beauty standards, it started to mess up with my perception of everyone. Now I'm slowly getting the hang of not being obsessed with looks
I love your comment. You are right. We are all beautiful. Regardless of the beauty standards. There is much more to humans than the outward appearance.
"Ugly and pretty are two sides of the same coin" BINGO. In just the same way that love and hate are side-by-side whereas apathy is at the other side of the circle or emotions. Contrary to what the media will tell you, the cookie-cutter, magazine 'bunnies' are the boring, unattractive ones.
I don’t like the comments of “you’re pretty” or “you’re not ugly” because that totally defeats this whole topic. That’s like saying yes it’s important to not be ugly, let me convince you that you’re not ugly. This is about even if you are ugly or are judged by someone as ugly, how to not be hurt by it, not feel like shit, not let it impact on your self esteem, not be self conscious of your looks, not feel inadequate or not good enough. It’s an incredibly hard thing to be ok with and I like how Kara is trying to adopt a mindset whereby she can be ok if she ever feels or thinks or is judged as ugly.
But what if we a) really don't agree that she's ugly and b) worry that she's coming up with all this other stuff but actually isn't able to shield herself from feeling bad?
But very very few people in the world are ugly (they are usually deformed in some way) and this girl is in no way ugly. It’s important to have a realistic view, somebody calling her ugly does not mean she’s actually ugly. So you don’t accept you’re ugly and then not get hurt but realize you’re actually not ugly and the other person currently holds a fantasy image in their head they deem as beautiful and that has nothing to do with you, your looks or reality. Reality and objectivity is important. Learn to discern truth not adapt your emotions according to other people’s views, that’ll get you in trouble in life.
@@Selenite11 There are so many flaws in your comment. Lots of people hate looking at their image in mirrors or photographs, they don’t like how they look, they think they are ugly. What you say in believing you’re not ugly is impossible if you do believe you’re ugly. What if you have been called ugly many times in your life and you know you’re not good looking, how can you believe you’re not ugly and that anyone who says you’re ugly is wrong? What you say does nothing to address being hurt at being or being judged as ugly. Ugly is subjective, attractiveness is subjective. But the whole subject here is how to be ok with being ugly, how to not be hurt if judged or seen as ugly by others. What you say does nothing to address these issues, you’re actually pouring fuel on the fire because what you are saying is “ugly is a terrible thing, it’s so important to not be ugly, let me tell you that you are not ugly, so it’s ok”. You do think being ugly is a terrible thing don’t you?
@@EyeLean5280 but that’s not what this is about. What if someone wants to do a video about “how to be ok with being ugly, how to not be hurt if you are judged as ugly by others”. Are you going to just respond - oh you’re not ugly so it doesn’t matter. This is a topic lots of people want to try and change their mindset on. I wish Kara did this video by saying “I know I’m not ugly but I want to do a video on why you shouldn’t be hurt if you think you are ugly or judged as ugly - so that people don’t keep responding by dismissing the topic by saying “you’re not ugly so let’s not even go there”.
@@carltonjohnston8408i think you are reading into their comments too much. Most people watch like 10s of a video then comment. The only context the commenters have is a video title implying the person is ugly, and the face of a person who most certainly isn’t ugly.
this was so good to watch. I spent most of my teenage years being the ugly one, especially at school, and I let myself believe and suffer for that for a long time, even in college. it took me a long time to realize all of this you're saying, but when that happened it was one of the happiest and satisfying moments of my life. don't let any sucker define you like that.
your comment just shows even good looking people like yourself are pushed to believe they are not pretty enough. Sadly bullies want you to believe the worst about yourself because it makes themselves feel better.
What the hell? If that's your real pic and you think you're physically ugly, you have a distorted view of yourself vs how the world sees you. The only thing I think is ugly is your opinion of yourself. get out of that warpped mindset and get comfy with yourself so you can take part in life
Well, she looks like a teenage gamer/rocker boy during puberty. And I bet you would be terrified if overnight you would exchange faces and bodies :) I understand you want to be somewhat nice, but if you wake up looking like her you would cry. do I say she is "ugly" ? Not really, but she is not pretty either, she looks unconventional, boyish, she is cool tho, she can rock this tomboy look and be attractive.
Pls stop lying. We all know that we should treat everyone the same but pls stop denying that she isn’t ugly. now don’t go rage at me for saying “everyone has different standards” but trust me, most people don’t find her attractive. Me too- at least it was over 20 years ago so there was no social media or cyber bullying back then....I feel sad for ugly girls going through school these days.
Oh God, I 'm going to high school in August. I am really ugly. Freckles and glasses and soon-to-be braces and facial hair and more, you scared me to death.

SuburbanoidMisfit111 Uh. I know what you mean. And kind of not know. I know girls that have horrible personality, are ugly asf and are a brat, basically they shouldn't live and are popular. I don't really get it.
You're not ugly. And this is not a compliment, this is a disagreement. And the video is absolutely beautiful Edit: For those who complain about people saying she's not ugly: I understand the point of this video and agree with it. Except the part of her being ugly, which is quite an important part. I'm sure she wouldn't believe this comment, but i just wanted to say my honest opinion. It's amazing that she found a way to accept ugliness, but it's sad that the ugliness is not there in the first place. The belief of ugliness brought her so many interesting and deep thoughts, but definitely also many problems.
I don't find her ugly at all. That being said, when she describes herself as 'ugly', I get what she MEANS, I'm not like calling her crazy for saying that. She doesn't fit the standard of a hot babe or whatever. But to me, 'ugly' means unpleasant to look at - and I don't find her to be that at all. To me, ugly people have a dullness or a deadness behind their eyes - she's very animated which means living, and as she says theyre's something inherently beautiful in that.. And even going by the most conventional beauty standards her eyes are a really beautiful color, so she as at least one 'beautiful' feature in the conventional sense. And she would look even better if she had gone ahead and had her shower too
I remember watching this video 10 years ago, a year after you put it out and changed my life. It morphed my entire perspective. I came back to say thank you very much. ❤
It's 10 years later, and I hope you are doing well. These are very wise words, or in today's parlance, you're 'spitting facts'. It took me close to 3 decades to start crawling out from under the 10 ton f**king weight of my supposed "ugliness ". It's still a constant struggle to disconnect my worth as a person from my appearance though. Thank you for this.
honestly i really hate when someone says "everyone's beautiful / pretty" - i'd really prefer if they said "beautiful or not, your worth is not based on your looks". that's my biggest problem when it comes to body positivity and the body positive movement; they should focus more on the inherent value of being a person, regardless of looks, especially because saying that "everyone's beautiful" doesn't cancel insecurities and self-esteem problems. to me at least, i had a pretty big self esteem problem until i realised that i don't have to be pretty to deserve love and respect. so what i think is no, not everyone's beautiful (what's beauty anyway? there's no way to quantify it, since it's not objective, so there's no point in saying that), but regardless, everyone's human, and we are all worth something.
I do understand your points and agree totally, but I think that in large part of what body positive movement is about sums up to 3 things, 1. unlearning toxic habits and self loathing that one acquires growing up, by exposing oneself to the world, (if you can show yourself to people on the web, you can do it in public), trying to overcome years of bullying and judgment that sticks with people even after decades, and feeds mental illness, 2. holding the bigots accountable, in present day bigots like to hide behind "FACTS and LOGIC", but their real intend is to hurt others, it is true that some people are undeniably ugly, but that is not a invitation of a constant reminder, the language that a person uses to describe others can tell you what their intend is, 3. normalize and give a chance to others body types, people with different bodies exist, and they have necessities that the market often ignores, so they raise their voices so their necessities are met just everyone else's, I think the internet has show that the mainstream standard of beauty is just a lie and there is more diversity in taste that people thought, and it is a good that everyone can see it. Sorry for the bible, just wanted to let some thoughts.
This is how i feel. Most of the people on this video telling her otherwise are full of shit cuz when they see someone else online that they dont like they have no problem saying that they're ugly. People love to act fake nice for likes.
This is something that got to me, it made me emotional. I despise when people tell me I'm beautiful because I know I'm not, but you reminding me that whether I'm beautiful or not I'm worth something truly made me genuinely happy.
+Clarence Lannister Well. lets see. The use of her words and the meaning behind them gives me the impression she is an intelligent human. I could be wrong but usually if it looks, sounds and acts like a duck, it is one. What's the problem? Because I never insulted anyone calling them sad and miserable or making assumptions about peoples feelings towards themselves just because I see someone give a compliment SMH
Wow! Jeezus. I just gave another person a compliment. It doesn't mean I'm a homo or that I'm literally jealous of her. Jealous is just a figure of speech, meaning that I think she's got a lot going for her and she impressed me. Get a grip. +MrVin whoever said shit about being good looking, stop hating and just accept that sometimes humans give other humans compliment! Dayum
it could be a gift, but I actually think life can get way too easy when you're someone who is considered to be very beautiful. it could be a bad thing too, is what I'm saying so I don't completely agree with what he says.
With that quote, the same thing could be said for having love. Not many have it but it always seems to be the worst of people who can so easily get it.
This is so true so many times I have come across someone who is beautiful but so ugly on the inside whereas someone who would be considered 'ugly' is the nicest person you could ever come across
The fact that a good portion of these comments are debating whether or not she's actually "physically ugly" defeats the purpose of the video and what she's trying to say. Sad.
very true

There’s a lot of beauty in kind eyes, work worn hands, and smiling lips.
this is beautiful
Unfortunately that's what i did. Stay away from alcohol. It's a trap.
you don't born to be convectionally beautiful, but you do it trough a process of self improvement, fitness, chirurgy and so on, being beatiful isn't just having a pretty face, but also a strong personality and an "healthy" body both things were people nowayds don't care about enough, they don't take care of themselves by letting themselves become obese, without gettin any decent air cut, by dressing decently and so onn then they blame the society for not considering them attractive, start do as much as you can to improve yourself and stop comparing to the others, that's whrn you will reach success.
@@NegativeAccelerate bruh..I see your perspective and that you are suggesting because you care
but people are more then their bodies.
“I never want to get into this place where I feel like what I look like, is more important than what I do.” Wow. I loved that.

"being beautiful is not an accomplishment." wow I wish people could understand this.
more like a privilege.
I'm Purrito In what way? If beauty is determined by genetics, then what is the accomplishment? What - popping out of the right vagina? Lol

Agreed! I’d give her an award

a lot of people immediately weigh in or whether or not she's pretty. did you even watch the video?
THANK you
They did but they didn't take in anything she said to busy thinking of ways to change her appearance
Do I have to watch the whole video? I was gonna just leave a random comment about cats and hope it was in context somewhere with the video 😂
I've been called ugly so many times it doesn't even hurts or feel meaningful lmao

she's not only fucking intelligent - the way she talks you can really HEAR it - her voice and eyes also are so damn beautiful it's so sad to see wonderful, inspiring and interesting people disliking their appeareance but YOU GO GIRL

Oh come off it Nina there's nothing more frustrating than condescension through comments like "you are beautiful for this that or the other"
No, leave it out. If you're physically ugly then beauty is immediately ruled out because it's a measure of physical appearance. Don't try to push this nonsense mangling of the term. Ugly people like myself still like to admire beauty and it's hard to do when you bastardise the term for "muh feelings".
Amen
Oh. My. Lord.
Beatrix Kiddo You haven't seen me then.
whenever i look at a person more than 5 or 10 seconds they all started looking beautifull to my eyes ... they all have something special that make them beautiful in their own way.
You can be ugly and beautiful at the same time :)
You are beautiful. I'm not saying it as a compliment. It's simply my belief. Thank you for this video.
Everyone is beautiful in their own unique ways. Everyone is amazing. I know how corny I sound but I truly beleive it.
The only context the commenters have is a video title implying the person is ugly, and the face of a person who most certainly isn’t ugly.
damn she's so smart. she has an amazing way of thinking.
this was so good to watch.
The only thing I think is ugly is your opinion of yourself. get out of that warpped mindset and get comfy with yourself so you can take part in life
I feel the same way about my average weiner size. ☺️
Well, Im baffeled because this person is not ugly.
We're just so used to seeing people with so much makeup and plastic surgery that anyone with out it looks "ugly".
If she's ugly, then imagine what we all in the comments section are.
Well, she looks like a teenage gamer/rocker boy during puberty.
And I bet you would be terrified if overnight you would exchange faces and bodies :)
I understand you want to be somewhat nice, but if you wake up looking like her you would cry.
do I say she is "ugly" ? Not really, but she is not pretty either, she looks unconventional, boyish, she is cool tho, she can rock this tomboy look and be attractive.
She just needs to do something with that hair and she'd be very cute
Pls stop lying. We all know that we should treat everyone the same but pls stop denying that she isn’t ugly. now don’t go rage at me for saying “everyone has different standards” but trust me, most people don’t find her attractive. Lying does nothing and people can see through it. spread positive messages but not lies. Thank you
Being ugly in high school = night terror. Boy I do not miss my teen years.
Zippy make it work for you....a little secret we males don't care so much about pretty...we care about fitness and health..and a kind heart...a kind hearted smile will make you look hot
I always wonder - who all that people who terror ? When we grown up they disappear ! I realli wish al my heart to those evil little bastard expelled from the school and their parents forced to pay a really heavy fine! Such evil people can not benefit society.
And the video is absolutely beautiful
Edit: For those who complain about people saying she's not ugly:
I understand the point of this video and agree with it.
She's lovely!

The irony is that being comfortable with being unattractive is... attractive? Think its a confidence thing!

People love to act fake nice for likes.
girl/boy/other thing what you said is amazing i will post on my status of wpp
Lovely
This is something that got to me, it made me emotional. I despise when people tell me I'm beautiful because I know I'm not, but you reminding me that whether I'm beautiful or not I'm worth something truly made me genuinely happy.
I'm so jealous of her mind
But you're too busy being good looking? Or why are you still jealous and not thinking already?
Mr Vin why do you have to take a negative out of what he said tho?
Mr Vin is talking about himself.
Dayum
You're probably the most inspirational human being on this planet, to me anyway.
You might never see this comment, but you just saved my life.
And that is a beautiful thing!
Reminds me of a khaled hosseini quote that goes "beauty is an enormous, unmerited gift given randomly, stupidly."
Marielle Muro- Buckingham love that guy
it could be a gift, but I actually think life can get way too easy when you're someone who is considered to be very beautiful. it could be a bad thing too, is what I'm saying so I don't completely agree with what he says.
With that quote, the same thing could be said for having love. Not many have it but it always seems to be the worst of people who can so easily get it.
This is so true so many times I have come across someone who is beautiful but so ugly on the inside whereas someone who would be considered 'ugly' is the nicest person you could ever come across
