  • Hey guys! I hope this video finds you well and happy! This poncho works up super quickly with less than a skein of the Red Heart Ombre skeins that have 482 yards of yarn. I made this poncho with my daughter in mind when we were having to get in and out of the car a bunch and taking her sweater on and off was getting time consuming so I designed this poncho to be able to take on and off quicker and easier and it was quite a success! I hope you all enjoy this tutorial as much as I do and I hope that this poncho brings you lots of use!

I first saw your 4T-5T poncho and fell in love with the pattern. I made all the granny squares for it but I still need to assemble it. Later I saw the baby sized poncho and I made that one to completion (woot!) out of bernat baby velvet in indigo. I made a knotted headband to go with it and I added tassels like in the bigger sized poncho. It is just spectacular. I love it so much, thank you for this tutorial! I'm giving them as Christmas gifts. Off to assemble the larger poncho....

Thanks for this fabulous video. I made one and it's awesome. I am using up yarn I have and will be donating my ponchos. I'm curious as to how I could make bigger child sizes in this pattern? Sorry, I'm fairly new and am not sure where or when I could increase rounds, or if it is even possible. Thanks for sharing this.
