Lyrics:
I'm on the run, i kill to eat
I'm starving now you're dead on your feet
Going all the way nature's beast
Do what I want and do as I please
Run fight to breathe it's tough
Now you see me now you don't
Break the walls I'm coming out
Not a prisoner I'm a free man
And my blood is my own now
Don't care where the past was
I know where I'm going ... out
If you kill me it's self defense
If I kill you then I call it vengeance
Spit in your eye I will defy
You'll be afraid when I call out your name
Run fight to breathe it's tough
Now you see me now you don't
Break the walls I'm coming out
Not a prisoner I'm a free man
And my blood is my own now
Don't care where the past was
I know where I'm going ... out
I'm not a number I'm a free man
I'll live my life how I want to
You'd better scratch me from your black book
Cos I'll run rings round you - Видеоклипы
RIP Clive Burr (1957 - 2013) - thank you for the music
Along with Eric Carr and Scott Travis my fav drummer
RIP Paul Di Anno (1958 - 2024) dziękuję za dwa najlepsze albumy Maidenów.
Clive Burr’s drumming is just insane. R.I.P. one of the best drummers of all time
Just gotten into 80s metal
It appears all the best drummers have sadly passed
Clive's gone
Menza's gone
Quite sad 😢
But I think they'd want us to appreciate their legacies rather than linger over their death
Clive Burr is ALIVE !!!
Only in the the music and our memories.... sadly
Burr!
Correction , Metall drummers
I will never understand why Clive Burr is not recognized as one of the leading drummers in music (PERIOD). He was so unique and had his own look and sound - all the way around - snare, cymbals, ride, HH and especially those gorgeous sounding, melodically tuned toms (Another Life, Genghis Khan, to name ONLY ca couple of tunes); and clearly had great influence on the best metal drummers to come after him. Awesome drummer and musician!
he's up there with micky dee in my book, but micky top notch full stop.
An intense and creative drummer however out of the stage he obligated the lideres firing him. Unfortunately for everybody. RIP.
I always loved Clive, but the older and better I get (at playing music) the more I understand why he is truly great.
100% he was incredible. Not sure why they fired him but I know he died of MS. Nicko has since become a legend in that role.
I think basically the lack of a large body of work other than Maiden
This is a nice soundtrack driving home from the hospital, declared cancer free!
I’m happy for you my friend, I’m glad that you are ok, I wish you well, keep rocking.... up the irons....
ROCK AND RULE MY FRIEND!! BLESSINGS OF GOOD HEALTH TO YOU!!!
fuck yeah, congrats!
I didn’t know Dave mustaine played Iron Maiden
So happy for you! God Bless! ✝️🙏👍
the sound engineer deserves an oscar, this is the best live sound equalisation I ever heard.
A Grammy, possibly
That would be sir Martin Birch, I assume..
Not for live shows. He was the engineer for studio albums.
One thing is for sure, this is my favorite IM live sound ever. Both the sound quality and the performance by every member is superb! I wander why it is not out on a DVD. Once Steve Haris said the video quality (lighting, etc) was not good, however it is a superb piece of art from breath-taking period for IM that deserves its place in their live videos catalogue.
Wow, are you sure this isn't the studio version dubbed over?
That drumming is unbelievably good! wow! rip clive
+jamestspurs yid Bruce Dickinson wrote that. He was just playing with the drums and played it. and they used it.
Clive was such a underrated drummer....RIP Mr Burr
Bleeding from his nose... Badass!
Jussi Rytkönen varmaan liikaa kokista ;)
+Jussi Rytkönen poor clive starting to get sick but he wanted to finish the tour. R.I.P. Clive, respects! \m/,
I feel like 16 years old.....now i am 55.......my youth is not imaginable without Maiden
I think it’s because of your name, Change thorsten to Thor or something and you’re gonna feel much younger and confident.
@@beeps123 hi....you are so right.....Thor , i let the Hammer fall

Clive Burr had something melodical way of playing, very difficult to find in other drummers. Genius ! RIP
Clive Burr 8 March 1957 - 12 March 2013
@@davidg.9932 Great drummer ever !
Same thing with Steven Adler from GNR, he had that unique thing, you just born with it
Saw Clive live, Lucky me, R.I.P, Thanks for your talent bro.
i am almost 46 years young, when i hear this entry by Mr. C. Burr on drumms, i still get shivers on my skin, it is absolutely AWSOME< R.I.P. Mr. CLIVE BURR !!!!!
So superior to Nicko. What a waste getting rid of him.
***** 100% agreed.
I'm 55 years young and I get the same reaction too mate. Brilliant performance.
I gotta say , I listening to comments on this drummer subject, and I don't think you was giving Nikki any perks at all. Extremely technical and hard hitting. To boot. I meann where eagles dare rhyme of the ancient maireneri. I thought they was about neck & neck myself? ?
One of the best performances of anything ever.
I was going to say the exact same thing. Impressive presentation
Clive looks so Relax playing his Bass Drum is double pumping your soul with such a steady timing is insane ¡ God Bless Him ¡🙏🙏
There is something so magical about Clive's playing, I can't explain it. Nicko is superb and one of the greatest ever, but Clive had something extra in his playing. May his soul rest in peace.
Feel the same! Increíble!
IS CLIVE BURR....JUST THAT🤘🤘🤘🤘
Agree. I saw him in '82 and then Nicko in' 83. Different styles and sound completely. Burr was more dynamic in the first 2 cds.
It was like having Cozy Powell being a drummer for Maiden. For those who like this style of drumming I would suggest hearing Michael Schenker Group live at Budokan album, songs like Let Sleeping Dogs Lie, Lost Horizons are amazing. Plus Schenker was one the guitarists that influenced Dave Murray and Adrian Smith.
I know. He was the perfect drummer especially for Maiden. Like a damn locomotive. Always on time. Always carried everyone. He had the touch. That unexplainable it. And he didn't show off. But it was still hard not to watch him.
Holy fuck are you kidding me? for an 80's live presentation the sound is absolutely stunning, fuck even for a 2014 presentation the quality of the sound is insanely good
***** Iron Maiden isn't a live band for no reason
FelpHero really good sound, you're f*** right!
wish id been at the hammersmith gig
FelpHero On top of the quality of the recording, it's very difficult to tell if this is the recorded track or live. The first first verse, almost impossible. Then when the background vocals come in, you can tell it's actually live. I love that.
FelpHero Do you think it was the stone age? I was in high school in the early 80's. Trust me, there were better sounding stereo's then. I wore my Maiden albums out then blasting through my 1982 Fisher speakers. I still use them!!
What can someone say here!! Clive's drumming, Andrian's riff and solo!! Incredible!!
i have seen many good drummers but when you think about a different parts of drumming there is only one master,a legend forever, Clive Burr!
Peart
Out of all the iron maiden songs, this is the one that always gets stuck in my head the most, especially the chorus, such a good album
Clive Burr Adrian Smith pair at 3:39 - simply amazing.
GGTBOTD Harris too.
Everything in this era was perfect, my favorite Iron Maiden.
GGTBOTD that Dave Murray + Steve Harris pair at 3:10
Exactly! Anyone who's played live knows how messed up those kinds of sequences can turn out. They're spot on together.
This was the beginning of their best ever !
Immortal song...super-underrated...one of the best from the Irons...a shining Bruce, a top performance, a song slightly away from the Maiden clichés, Clive Burr as a top drummer.....Air-raid siren over there, far above the sun.......of course, on the best album the Maiden ever composed.....love it!!!!!
baby faced Clive! what a great drummer. i could sit there all concert and just watch him play. he had his own unique style unmatched by others. rip you legend. 🤘😝🍺
Easily the GOAT of metal drummers.
What a brilliant show this was rip Clive Burr never forgotten!!!
Clive Burr totally dominated this song. The intensity!
R.I.P. Clive!
Clive was fantastic drummer rest in Peace great musician
i was 5yo when i listen to this 4the 1st time, and ty, u gave me reason to live.
Up the irons!!!
Sure
RIP Clive what a drummer..
He was the GOAT metal drummer!
The quality is just awesome . Thanks for sharing. Iron maiden, baby yeah!!
Great song! My favorite from NOTB, this version is so insane and so memorable, I absolutely love it, and I have to say that Clive was on fire at this show, specially on this song, he is a beast, what a great drummer, RIP Clive.
Iron Maiden is quite simply the greatest band in the world... RIP Clive...

I absolutely love Nicko but Clive was the best for Maiden..!! 😎👌🏻
This was my second Maiden gig, I was 18, I have now seen them in concert 32 times.......Clive you are still missed!.....………….....Up the Irons!!!!!!!
clive burr.. what a drummer, his feel was just awesome.
this drummer ....i don t have word to express all the feelings i had when i first listen to this song as a musician and young drummer , learning to play drums ....what a fuckin spiritual experience and those lyrics are too much : i know where i'm going OUT ! freedom ! this is THE freedom song defently , the all in one iron maiden song , all in one rock n roll song that makes you break your chains in less 5 minutes : forever a metal head
With apologies to other musicians who have been in the band , the "Number of the Beast" Maiden was and always will be THE best line up .
Agreed .. Saw them on this tour in 82 and it was settled with me at the time . This is Iron Maiden !!
This is actually the best live version of the prisoner I've heard.
Amazing performance by Mr. Burr! R.I.P. Clive
I love this song! Golden times!!
The best drummer ever.
This amazing, incredible album NOTB turns 40 years old today. An absolute masterpiece! Thank you Maiden, thank you for one of the greatest Heavy Metal albums of all time.
Back when people became famous because of having actual talent ...
Damn, damn right!!!!!
No shit!
My favourite is Children of The Damned
Yes.
Why nowadays people have a big appreciate for talentless 😢
Wow, Cliff Burr, just Wow! Is there anyone else playing these drums as organic and unique? From the first album to his last with Maiden. These drums are one of a kind. RIP, my man.
Clive Burr, rest in peace dear friend. 😥😞😥😞
Clive Burr does this song justice like no drummer does RIP Clive we will never forget you
The drummer kick ass .! One of the best rock n roll songs of all time !
Oriste. Im a free man...
Oriste. Pure metal, not rock n roll blues crap
Oriste. Heavy metal*
sumemo
It was rock and roll influence in Maiden`s music just in their first 2 albums.
Clive Burr 8 March 1957 - 12 March 2013
He was the drummer for Iron Maiden from 1979 to 1982.
Still thinking about you Clive.. Run to the Hills..
Nicko can't touch him!
R.I.P Clive Burr
Dam Clive you are so missed.
Victim of ms
In my opinion Clive Burr was the best drummer of the band, the drums stood out more than the other instruments, was much tastier hear the creative beats Clive, today listen to the albums with him just to hear him play.
I believe Clive is the greatest Metal drummer of all time. Nicko can't handle playing Clive's songs.
Clive Burr the best!!!
É isso aí parceiro, avanti palestra!
In my opinion, Nicko is the better drummer technically but Clive is a speed freak and a hard hitter so he deserves a close 2nd in my opinion.
Steve Harris is bass is hard to match. By Any bassist anywhere?
I love Nicko, but this is the best Maiden line up. Clive is perfection...
Clive was kinda athletic drummer. Nicko got that groove tho
Nostalgia !!! I was 12 in 1982 ! So, a few years later, I dived into thrash and then death and then in black metal but THIS is really awesome ! thank you...
WHY THE DISLIKES? THIS LIVE VERSION IS FANTASTIC. POWER, DELIVERY, DRIVE AND ENERGY. JUST LISTEN TO THAT MID BREAK INTRO BEFORE ADIS SOLO. WHOOOGH. LISTEN AND ENJOY.
Clive Burr is, and will always be the best Maiden drummer.
That's a very weird and complicated way to write Nicko McBrain, who's obviously the finest and best drummer Maiden's have, to anyone who has a brain they can use.
@@CuntLucifer You seem to be in the minority, with 77 other people disagreeing, but that's fine ; )
@@CuntLucifer I'm guessing you're a 90s child. Biased and clueless..

By miles.
the bass sound is insanely good, what a bass player Steve is and the match groove along with Clive, what else can you ask for? this is call talent and musicianship.
I was priviledged enuff to have seen this Tour! I was 14yrs old...Was my first Concert! I realized right then and there that I would be a lifetime concert goer!! Thanks to Maiden !!!!
Today we've been through exactly one year since the world lost you, Clive. You're still remembered and always will be! R.I.P!
Clive Burr was really a Great Drummer, Fantastic! R.I.P. Master! This Song is unforgettable!!!
This for me is THE quintessential Iron Maiden. The best lineup (I lov Niko but Clive was so unique) the best guitars, Bruce with long hair, everything in its right place. Best damn songs too
Iron maiden é uma das melhores bandas do mundo, é uma das que mais show dá em palco!! Eu curto á brava iron maiden!!! Iron maiden, Forever!!!❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂
This song has gotten me past a lot of dark times in life. It makes me feel strong and reminds me that I am also not a prisoner to my problem.

Incredible skills, talent and love for music - long live Iron Maiden and RIP Clive.
One of the cleanest live performances of a song compared and bested to a studio version ever
Favorite Iron Maiden song ever
these guys were SO tight live. This sounds like the studio recording.
still are
It's really hard to believe it isn't the studio version! There are only a couple of little things that differ to tip you off it is actually live. One of the reasons I have always loved Maiden is the quality of their live performances and this one is a perfect example
its not the studio recording
Yeah
they were tight specialy because of Clive Burr at that time. Clive was very precise on his drumming.
I'm 53 been listening to iron maiden since 83 can't get enough best of all time
Haven't heard Maiden in years. I forgot just how incredible every single member was.
How did you survive for years without the greatest love of all? IRON MAIDEN!!!!!!
Taygun89 I know.
I think back when I used to listen to them as my Age Of innocence, like it was Another Life. Still, Life somehow slips by when we have our Face In The Sand.
All I can do is lament all those Wasted Years. But now I've rediscovered them, it feels like I'm Coming Home - Deja-Vu, if you will.
From Here To Eternity, never in my Wildest Dreams will I let their glory fade again.
Best answer I EVER got on youtube :D Up the irons man!
How dare you? But I will say you have some massive sized balls for saying such a thing in such a place.
Clive Burr didn’t play drums he made love to the drums and the drums obeyed him as he play each song, beat drummer in history period....RIP Clive you are in heaven an Oscar that the Lord has already giving you for providing such master pieces of songs....😥😥😥😥
Clive superbo.... In sta song controbattuta da urlo... Riposa in pace stella⭐🤟
The sound quality......wow, this what you get when you have amazing sound quality and extremely talent musicans. Amazing!!!!!
How can anyone dislike this? How do they live, and are those people ok?!
I too think the same. it is disturbing and perhaps abnormal to dislike such delight! !!
makes you wonder how someone can click on 'Iron Maiden' and not know what to expect. Perhaps they thought it's the name of the new one direction single.
+Jeremy Gillihan No those people are not OK, they are "Prisoners" of there own bad taste in music.
+Jeremy Gillihan these people just headbanged so hard they missed 'like' button :D
+Jeremy Gillihan Those poor people are reaggeton´s fans
This is an example on how agressive the band was in 80's and I missed it a lot. Of course they were 20 years old and now they are 60 and naturally they are lowering down but Clive was really great. A true metal drummer.
Maiden had such killer groove & energy when Clive Burr was in the band... I dig a few albums past it, but Number of the Beast was the last one from them that rocked this hard \m/
I'm 22 and recently got into Iron Maiden and this is absolutely the best guitar playing I've ever heard.
What a performance!
RIP Clive.
I’ve been a Iron Maiden fan since 1982, and still get goosebumps when I listen to them. Unbelievable musicianship and lyrics. No computerized garbage, protools or autotune. Musicians with real talent.
Fantastic audio quality, for sure is a recent mix, I favour this version than the (very good indeed) studio version.
I was there ,,, for a 17 year old it was epic ... Great memories..
Thanks for posting..
The best of the beast. Explorer guitars slashing amps and Clive crushing the drums. My favorite Maiden song.
+Julio Felisalle My fave tune from Maiden may well be 'Children of the Damned,' but I'll tell you, Killers is not only my fave Maiden album, I consider it the best CD of the 1980s as it introduced me to heavy fxxxing metal. Up the Irons!
They are Ibanez Destroyers, not Gibson Explorers
Clive was a natural and he did some stunning work with Maiden.
Holy shit... this sounds so powerful
God dam up those f irons. That sounds out of this world.
Seriously makes more sense today than ever. Everything's information first before your question is asked.
Just appreciate how tight they were and the best was still yet to come. PURE TALENT........
Never get sick/bored of this concert , any song - the rawness is top notch !
Clive Burr...., what can i say about this great drumer?.....rest in peace.
Outstanding Band........Guitars like Maschine guns......dynamic, melodic ,raw and powerful.now i am 56 years old and i am listening to them for 40 years
The best live video ever on YT with Clive...FUCKING IRON AWESOMNESS
I saw three of their tours in the 80s. Best live performers out there.
Watching Clive brought a tear to my eye. I absolutely loved his drumming and hated when he parted with Maiden.
Man, I still can't believe he's gone. RIP Clive.
Best drive ever i had seen. Metal bands of England of this period are absolutely amazing.
Clive Burr best drummer
Doesn't get any better than this, first thing that springs to mind is how fantastic Clive Burr's drumming is, im no expert but his drumming sounds tight and love his bouncy drum rolls.
Steve Harris looks the same as today! He must have thousand of years
He actually looks younger than he used to.
Grecin 2000
Steve haven't changed and he didnt left maiden... Paul left and see how he looks now😂
It is called Adrenochrom, the same is with CHER, she's younger than 50 y ago
All those songs he writes about Egypt are straight from experience,
He is immortal
Clive was the best Maiden drummer. R.I.P.

Jeesh, just started listening to IM This drummers friggin amazing !
Clive Burr was awesome.
this has always been my favorite live version of this song...just listen to the twin guitars on rhythm - effin tight, marshall overdrive crunch. and clive on the drums - just a naturally good time keeper and his 'feel' was not technical, not saturated, but simply organic
Absolutely perfect! How much energy on the stage..And Clive kickin ass!!!Maiden for life!!!
R.I.P Clive Burr Up The Iron's \m/
First time I see the video of this great track, and in concert! It is a great gift, a thousand thanks!
What a punch!!! This is Iron Maiden! This is HEAVY METAL!!!
yeah, saw Clive and Paul once in 1981 Killers tour, at a nice theatre called The Auditorium Theater supporting Judas Priest...Serious concert at a smaller venue. Maiden was a great gig to follow for Priest. Like, perfect. Then 1982, Paul was out Bruce was in. By the time they made my town again, near the end of Beast on the Road, Clive was out, Nicko was in. . Just WOW...Pretty tragic time for Burr. Lost his dad, and his band. Was looking forward to Bruce Bruce on vocal. (I picked up on Samson from the import bin at the record store.) Gotta say the Maiden/Priest combo tours are tops in concert memories. Something about Harris' bass being more than an anchor, more like a rudder. Punchy, driving, tough. I like drummers and bassists that hit hard together. Anyways, thought of Clive today...
Rip Clive, the best drummer,
I’m sorry I missed Clive. Saw them in 83 when Nicko took over on Piece of Mind album. My first concert ever… Maiden with Fastway and Saigon Kick. Good memories 🤘🏼
What a legendary performance!
Awesome song...Clive Burr fantastic...r.i.p.
