Apache - The Shadows Cover by Steve Reynolds

The song that started it all off! Decided to do an updated version of this classic as its been a while since i did. This was recorded on my Squier Simon Neil strat with Zoom G3x and Bias FX used for amp modelling.
Backing track came from the casting a shadow CD.

Great job Steve , I first heard this shads tune on a jukebox in a restaurant in blackpool back when it came out , my cousin had record and lent it to me I couldn’t stop playing it, the flip side was also good - quarter masters store

Hey Steve love your playing, I started to learn the guitar at 52 now two years in I have been really getting into the Shadows and bands like that if that era , I find learning the Shadows really helps new learners, since you can really listen to the actual notes instead of having your distortion on your amp jacked, I am going to give this song a go on my 3 P90 strat, that should be fun, oh have you heard The Fabulous Jokers from Belgium just one of those bands who had the Shadows influence

Hi Eric many thanks. Apologies I hope I'm understanding your question correctly. For this I used a squier Simon neil strat with a zoom g3x pedal providing the echos and then used bias fx software for amp simulation on the pc.

@@masaii46 Hi Eric that's good to hear. It certainly is a fun hobby! Apologies yes I use George Dennis 1.05 sharp picks. Hank used to use these but 1.3mm. Similiar is the Jazz 3 picks from Dunlop. Hope this helps

How do you manage to tame the treble bite on that Strat’s back pickup?

A lot of it is the setup of the amp modelling. The bass and treble are at half and the mid range about 2/3 hope this helps
