I know im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
This is great, I really like that your changing things up and seeing how it works. I am sure that you have brought about a lot of ideas of different things people can try. Thank you for sharing all of your tests with us!!! Great Video👍👍👍👍👍
I would like to see an actual side-by-side comparison of the before and after extensions also a challenge for you to put for wheel steer in the VS4-10 PHOENIX PORTAL. I just got mine today. I'm still on the fence as to which electronics I put in it. My goal is to make. It's a great rock crawler. I love to rock crawl and don't care about going fast; I'm slow; go and climb, baby, climb. 😆 Thanks in advance /Joe
I just did this mod yesterday. For anyone that has the Hobbywing Fusion Pro motor/ESC combo you'll have to put the ball link on the axle side because the Traxxas ball link was hitting the back of the motor. Also I have the Vanquish metal driveshafts on my Capra, no issues with driveshaft length, plenty of room.
It's looking GREAT! I ended up (by mistake) launching mine off of a 25' ledge and only broke the arms off of a portal box. These are tough rigs. While it is down, I think I'm going to go ahead and incorporate some of the changes you made on mine. 4WS and 2.2s are definitely in the mix.
Man that Capra of yours just keeps getting better! Awesome run and it blows me away that you do that one handed. I tried and my hand just hurts (arthritis) Keep up the great work!
I'm gonna call it the exopra mod. I did it looks nice I'm planning on 2.2 I think that's what the capra should have had stock but liking what you did and doing you set up as we speak on my Capra. Printing the skid as well and putting the ol' 3 gear trans from the scx10 in it. Buddy really wants to use the dig on his 10.3 so giving him my servo since they are hard to get.
That's almost exactly the Capra I was envisioning for my next build. But i hadn't considered 2.2" wheels. I decided i wanted a competition style crawler with Dig. All Reefs Servos and The XR10 Combo w/G3R Motor.
What driveshafts did you use? Also one of the links for the links doesnt work anymore so whats the difference between them? Thats expecially confusing because the link you labeled "traxxas links without balls" has balls in the links
Really enjoyed the blooper in this video lol also my capra kit will be here tomorrow what should I put in it for crawler but more hill climbing and trail running brushless I'm sure but what setup if you could pick any out of everything
5:01 if you crab walked right there before going into normal 4ws it would have brought your rear right to where it needed to be. there were other instances of the same thing happening. sometimes when you want to make a turn you first have to crab walk, usually just 6 inches or so, to get the rear aligned.
@@ExocagedRC I was looking at the rtr electronics...looks like they could not have gone any cheaper. I need to find a list of components to finish the Capra kit so I could get a price idea.
Very nice. How do you like the extended wheel base with the 1.9 tires instead of the 2.2? Have to tried to extend just one end instead of both? Thanks.
What ended up being your drive shaft lengths after you extended them? I wanna stretch my capra and put some mip cvd shafts on it, but i need to know the size before i can buy
The reason I’m asking is because I’m trying to decide which to pursue for my Bomber build, which spends time strictly crawling. In this video, it seems your 4 wheel steering really works to your advantage. Do you have a specific recommendation for a crawling Bomber as far as steer vs dig?
That is exactly the Capra I want.Don't want to go through all the research & parts buying/engineering to make one.Take my money Friend. Lol ...Ps do you have a build list for this on any of your videos? or could you share it some how ?
Basically the info is in the video descriptions on what it has. I’ve done so much with it, what do you need to know about it? Maybe I can help directly.
Morten Fosse yes this video here details the 4ws conversion and in the description is a complete list of parts needed. ruclips.net/video/RSWcdWZwXpM/видео.html
It definitely looks like a boss setup like that. Strangely it even seems to have maintained it's proportions with the longer wheelbase. I like how candid you are with your vids, I have those mini speech trip ups all the time and know how ya feel. Impressed you didn't edit yourself . Still not sold on the voodoo rubber compound after seeing your g8 vs predator vids but it's definitely looking better each tweak

By the looks of it, the 2020 crawler competitions will be a sea of Axial Capras. And 4-wheel steer Capras in the pro/modified competitions. Every other truck will be inherently handicapped. I love my two Traxxas RCs and Traxxas products/support in general. But the Traxx, their new MB 6X6, and the 4S capable MAXX are simply gimmicks IMHO. Conversely, Axial's Capra is as serious as a heart attack in its purpose.
Hi, I recently put 2.2 swamper XL(G8) on my Capra, it tips over quite a lot more than with the stock tires, it's very bouncy like it's not heavy enough to compress the tires, seems like they are just too big. Is there a way to make them work or should I get something different?
Question...Currently building the Capra, when using a higher voltage servo with a CC bec, will this isolate the high voltage so the dig servo isn't damaged (stays at a lower voltage)? Or do you need to wire differently ?
Jarbo you will need a bypass adaptor. You can get them premade from Holmes Hobbies or make your own. The bypass will allow the bec to power the servo you want and not affect anything else.
@@ExocagedRC I'm trying to decide between the 1800kv and the 2300kv. Which is the better for the capra? 1800kv with 14t would be as fast as 2300kv with 11t, but which one would run better and stay cooler?
Juan Diego Serna yeah it’s pretty involved. Either you need a whole front axle and suspension assembly or a servo on axle mount with some chassis clearancing. Search my channel for Grimlock 3 it’s a trx truck with 4ws. I have a build series on it that shows what has to be done

Which driveshaft tube/spline did you use for the rear? Very interesting!!
Any answer on this??
axial wild boar drivshaft set up
ax1232017
I'm going to do this looks like ill add the long shaft to the rear at the trans. and the long spline to the front
Can't help but notice, you would totally benefit from using a flysky gt5 so you can have independent control of your rear steering.
Great idea this is a must be .....
I stretched mine today. Sounds like I got now a problem pinion or the ring in the front diff… any idea befor I take it apart?! Tia

Nope, stock links are perfect

What did the overall wheelbase measure out to be??
why not put all the stretch in the rear to get more weight forward?
Joe, what did you use to extend driveshafts? Can you shine some light on me please?
I had a bunch of WB8 driveshaft parts from other builds so I mix and matched them to extend them out.
@@ExocagedRC got it. Thank you! Just ordered wild boars 👍🏼
What 2.2 tires do you recommend for the 4WS Capra?
Did you have to do anything special when you put on the 2.2’s. I tried to put on my Capra and the wheel toed in...?!?
Just changing tires shouldn’t change the toe-in.
Where did you get the extended drive shaft
Thats exactly what I want to build! How much for that one??
its been a while for this one, just have to add up the parts, over $1k
Joe what aftermarket rod ends work with vanquish links if you don't mind?

How did you do your rear driveshaft
What skid plate is that? I need something better for the wraith any suggestions

Justin Wood some leftover shaft pieces from a 10.2 kit I built. So it is running the WB8HD shafts
