Thank you! I used to do similar with text in Blender, and that was a nightmare. MatterControl is under-rated for modeling, and this is a great addition.
I have been looking for something like this since I bought my 3D printer. I used to know 3D studio Max because I learned it in school but it's been ages and it's long gone from my brain. This is freaking amazing because I am more a hands-on artist than a 3D designer
@@jim1517you need to first make the logo clean af (take a pic of it, put it in gimp, create a new layer, redraw it in black and white, fill the inside (no gaps, don't use the bucket, use selection), remove the photograph in the back, export it as a png (or SVG or whatever matter control supports for this particular process) and you're good to go
tried it with a more complicated picture. turned out to be useless. the picture was black and white. just as you used. but it had gaps 0.5mm wide. this finctuon only for very simple images.
I’ve been struggling to make a 3D print of the technical side view of the Enterprise D, as seen in engineering. Perhaps this program will make it much easier.
Anyway to.. for exmaple if you have a photo with 4 colours, anyway to possible raise each colour seperatly to different levels? sorry didnt quite know how to explain
Great video, thanks, this really helps me out with a project I have been working on. Is there a way to invert what is the model and what is the empty space? Basically the lego would the empty space and the area around it would be solid. Kinda like a stencil. I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!
Yeah, im trying to make a replica handle for my Miter saw, if there's a way to mesh both sides of a model together to make one whole proper model i'd love to know.
I put in a symetrical picture, and the edges turn out wrong. The picture is completely sharp but the output is always quirky. I dont know what i do wrong.
Isn't this the same as using a SVG and just raising the z axis? A photo of a person will result in that just being extruded and not a true 3 D image. Wouldn't you need to take photos in all dimensions to accomplish that?
How is that “any image” when you specifically searched “silhouette”? This isn’t any image into 3D. It’s not even a difficult 2D image to 3D. Not a good advertisement for your software.
I had NO CLUE! you are a genius in my humble opinion!
DOWJONES
I think the same, Bravo 🍾

WOW, This is much better. Thank you
Perfect simple and just what I was looking for for my kids 3d printer
I'm hoping to have a video every week. There are tons of features we are planning to show off.

Sorry for bothering. I ve just drawn a logo(on a paper) and i want to convert it into a 3d model. If I use it will it work?

quicker to carve what you want out of a soft wood and then scan it in on 3d scanner
I could see this being useful for lost PLA casting of signage.
about the only use thank you for that comment now i feel as if it isn't a totally useless program
Lots of possibilities to use this for
Great project
Nice with the JPG import too :-)
i didnt know this was possible, thanks!
This was such an awesome video! Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you ❤
So that's the software that 3D printing uses - so simple and amazing.

It WORKED!!!!
@@shanepye7078 Fantastic! I'm so glad. :)

Great tutorial!
STAY SPOOKY 👻

Great tip - thanks!
thank you soo much that was really helpful
I just want to make miniatures for my dollhouse from pictures of furniture, but no one will help. 😭😭😭
thanks a lot!
When you adjust the height and stuff is that cm or inches when you slide those numbers up
Cool
Cool video man, is it crazy for me to ask you to 3d a 2d picture for me? Keep of the great work

can I use this program to create a cut for cricut or silohuette?
can you use this program to export as a.DAE after?
Can I export the 3d design to Blender as OBJ?
how can i see the back?

I’m trying to make cookie cutters and the model has weird lines and triangles sticking out of it. How do you smooth a model from an image converter.
Can u get the colors from the image?
How can I export the design as an STL file? it gets saved as an mcx file.
When I use the search it doesn’t work why?
It worked great, but I couldn't get the file to open in another program.
and this will make it easier for 3D Modelling without learning to use Blender?
no and blender is super basic its just a mashup of geometric shapes likely where all the shit models on thingyverse come from
Hey,can you explain how can i convert MCX file to OBJ or FBX without any issues
How do you export the file without being an MC file? just le 3d logo as is?
How to save it as a obj?
Do you know how to radius edge a complete object?
How was it converted to the bed to begin with? I see now. Thanks

Nice. What format does this save as? Is this the same as cad?
When finding an image does it have to be an certain file name
My image keeps coming out, distorted. Any suggestions

What if you import a black and white photo?
Amazing save i search a lot and nothing helped god bless your video
🔥💕👍
What about MOBLIE

Does it matter what type of image file ?
It can handle .jpg, .png and .gif
@@larsbrubaker hey thanks 😊 isn’t that software similar to blender tho to or completely different
Honestly it's more like TinkerCad.
@@larsbrubaker + .bmp and .pdf
@@monsterstorm78 way easier lol!
