    Awesome new tech! You explained it all objectivly and I was honestly surprised this was a sponsored video at the end. Definitely going to try out their blender addon for direct generations there. This will take so much work of my back for small animations. 👍

      Thank you so much! Sponsored or not, my goal is always to remain integrity towards my audience 👏 And it’s great idea to use this tool for animations, when you don’t have a whole studio of designers to back you up. I deeply appreciate the comment, cheers!

    Didn’t disclose sponsored til the very end? It did feel sponsored. You talked very little about how many credits each process used.

    • @architech_the_engineer
      @architech_the_engineer  Месяц назад +4

      The video is marked as sponsored in the settings, so there should be a disclaimer note displayed by RUclips at the beginning.
      About the credits, most features cost between 5-20 credits each. Also, you can always start another account 😎

    though its certainly scary to see this as a games artist, I think instead of replacing me itd be a great visualisation tool, like a mesh to reference from, not as the final piece. Unlike 2d, 3d theres so many technical factors/variables in the pipeline.

    Hey! First of all, thank you for the video. I have a problem with this process. I (think) do all the processes as you instruct, but at the end, when I try to open the stl file with bambu studio, it says there is no geometry data. Can you please help me? thank you.

    • @architech_the_engineer
      @architech_the_engineer  15 дней назад

      Hi there! Well, there could be few things causing that, my guess is a geometry issue, probably your model is not manifold. Try to run the Remesh modifier on the model, adjust the accuracy with the slider to get the details back. If you need further assistance, send me the file on my email (it’s in my channel’s bio), I’ll try to help. Cheers!

    I like your video knowing it’s sponsored, like your demo! Just wondering have you tried Rodin by this company called Deemos? I tried their free trials, although they don’t have as many variety of options as Meshy, but the quality and style looks more adorable, Would love to see a detailed comparison video if you can

    • @architech_the_engineer
      @architech_the_engineer  23 дня назад +1

      XD I did the exact same thing.
      Overpushing the subdivision levels can lead to massive file size, and honestly most 3D printers won’t catch the details above level 3. Still, as long as your slicer doesn’t crash, the file size doesn’t matter that much.
      Thanks for the comment, I’m very glad you enjoyed the video!

    This is far from enjoyable quality yet. But I fear it will be something some think to get away with and games digital as well as prints will be flooted with that stuff. 😝🙄
    Its cool for inpiration or as a starting point to refine. But do you really want to see those things in finished games with that. 🥴

    Everyone gets so good results with meshy, but for me it makes soooo crappy results...

    • @DarthChrisB
      @DarthChrisB Месяц назад

      The good results are probably cherry picked like with all AI technologies. All AI I've used so far are super bad and overhyped (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Dall-E...). It takes alot of effort to get decent results. And often you're out of luck because the AI is mistrained on a particular subject.

      They are constantly updating the site, so if you’ve tried it some time ago, it’s worth to give it another shot. The best results for me came with Text to 3D, most of the models were better than I expected, but if you find it hard to get a decent model, maybe try to use different prompts? It’s good to take a look at public models, and check how the prompts are formulated - it makes a good inspiration!

    • @architech_the_engineer
      @architech_the_engineer  27 дней назад

      Actually, some of the models that appear in the video were generated with free version. For example Julius Verne portrait, that was later 3D printed, was also created with a free plan.
      A lot depends on the prompt - it can take a bit of practice to land a perfect prompts that will lead to great models. I suggest you give it another try 🫵💪 Cheers!

  • @hpbecraft

    dude just sculpt that, looks trash and would take like 20 mins in blender

    • @architech_the_engineer
      @architech_the_engineer  Месяц назад +2

      It’s great you could sculpt it as fast, the thing is it could take weeks for many people to learn the software in order to sculpt it from scratch. This tool opens the door for those who don’t know a single thing about modeling. Also, it could speed up work for animators and other artists - spending 2 minutes instead of 20 makes a huge difference if you need dozens of models for your project

  • @DarthChrisB
    @DarthChrisB Месяц назад +3

    The models are absolute garbage even with displacement mapping. It might just be good enough to create a prototype for remeshing.

    • @architech_the_engineer
      @architech_the_engineer  Месяц назад

      Since you brought remeshing to the table, you’re probably referring to chaotic topology, which is normal for every AI tool and completely harmless for the purpose of 3D printing.
      If you’re about to animate the models, I would recommend remeshing, which is still quicker when you have a base model to begin with 😉

    Honestly it looks like trash and it's not worth the plastic used to print it.
    There are literally millions of decent and free 3d printable models already and people think this is necessary?
    Shilling ai slop to give unethical corporations money is so dumb...
