I downloaded the complete software on to a USB drive using my MacBook Pro and I tried several times to install the software to the PS4 but it kept reading “SU-41343-5” and it said “..must format it [USB DRIVE] to exFAT.” So I had to to reformat the USB drive on my MacBook by inserting the USB to the laptop > applications > utilities > disk utility. Step 1: Get Acronis True Image. Step 2: Plug the old and new drive into a PC. Step 3: Clone.
So much simpler.
Calculated Risk. that's what I was thinking about, if you could just use a clone software and clone the ps4 hrs. may Check and see
Can u explain it to me i didnt get it
What? Is that an iso folder? Becouse you can plug it in your computer and run it in your computer!!
That's not a phillips drive, its a JIS. There's a difference and JIS works with phillips but you don't want to use a Phillips in a JIS screw. Throw away all your phillips screw drivers and switch them for JIS and thank me later
Remind anyone that this is only recommended if your room has a low temperature... SSD storages heat up very fast and can cause damage on PS4 console
Oh wow. I've never heard of that before.
can i just hook a external 1tb hard drive instead of an ssd?.like i did on my xbox one
they are now
The firmware is not downloading for me. Did anyone had this problem?
you make it look so easy good job
Can You Use The Same Exact USB For The Back Up Saved Data And The Installation? Or Do You Need 2?
You need two
Wait do you have to have 2 usb thumb sticks one to back up and one for the update?
How do i get the firmware update? the link is not taking me there.
What about if you having the game cd? Can we transfer the saved app data to the PS4 and then use the game discs as usual?
Would be really helpful if responded with an answer.
Did you find an answer?
Yo my ps4 system software is not updating is it because the hard drive or my ps4 is broken
Does the ps4 slim use the same type of hd as the regular ps4? I think it was different for the ps3 slim/regular console.
Will swapping the hard drive between slims work the same or will the drive be wiped? I have a 5gb now and want to upgrade for space 😅
Two questions. Do you lose waranty when you change the hdd?
And why not backing up the whole system on a hdd?
Can I use the same USB key for my backed up saved data and PS4 installation ? Thank you
you do know that upgrading to a SSD over a MUCH cheaper hybrid drive only yields like 2-second increase in load times over a MUCH cheaper hybrid drive right?
You clearly do not understand what a hybrid drive is or how it works...
Most hybrid drives only have a flash size of 8gb. The rest is a normal hard drive.
.
Brannan DI Ah. You realized the sillyness you said.
were not talking about PC's...
Any cheaper harddrive worth getting??
Take a look at the FireCuda solid-state hybrid drive. I upgraded my PlayStation 4 slim with that and it works great
So I’ve done everything correctly so far with putting the update on the usb but when I put it in my ps4 it says update not found…
Couldn't you just clone the original drive on a pc?
can I just use disk clone software, via windows or mac saving re installing all games again, or will that not work ??
hey, so what about previous data (actual/non-online save states, capture gallery, etc.) when upgrading storage?
Is it really better to get a ssd or should we get a mechanical drive? I mean, does it give any trouble to ps4 or the system plugging in a ssd as it was not a ss before?
Okay, change in question as I saw ssd price, what kind of hdd should I buy? 😂
Rana Keküllüoğlu lol
Mine sounds like a fan when it starts up is that normal for hard drives. Plz respond thnx 😀
So all the games I bought from the PlayStation store will be saved in the PlayStation plus?
Thanks man your really helping me to know much much more about play station 4 so thanks bro really helps
But how to upgrade slim to have optical connection?
Buy an original PS4 or the PS4 pro
If you have multiple accounts on the ps4 will u have to go on each and save the accounts data?
Can I install the firmware and my saved game data on the same USB thumbstick ??
so can u use the same flash drive u put the game data on as the flash drive u put the firmware update in?
Can you use an external hard drive that is usb connected with the external hard drive
Since I just racked my brain doing the update and it wouldn't take it.....the is CREATE A FOLDER CALLED "PS4" FIRST AND THEN A SECOND FOLDER "UPDATE" and then it should work.
Does this improve ps4 performance or just increase storage?
it increase storage and reduces loading times
@@notcassah3690 Does this include in game textures? Big problem in Dying Light 2.
@@miketexas4549 yes the textures will be loaded faster
Could you use carbon copy cloner and just clone your old HD to the SSD? And it's then just plug and play.
Okay. Quick question. So I'm think about getting an SSD right? I have PS Plus too. So I wouldn't have to get a USB drive to save all of my games because PS Plus already does that? So all I would have to do is install the SSD, then install the update, then download all of my games back and all of my data should be saved?
Its just like buying a new playstation its all on the account
Can you use the same USB to make my backup and also put the firmware on?
Do we have to keep the usb plugged in every time we play???
No
Good afternoon great video. Quick question. Do I need to format my new internal ssd before I put it in the ps4?
when can I take out the USB stick that had the system update?
Never, it has to stay in forever.
@@jasoneverett lol after your ps4 reboot and you're ready to use it
if I have my games on an external hard drive, will replacing the internal get the same results?
Do I have to do the step of saving all the data to a computer then back on to the ps4 with ps plus storage?
That’s what I was wondering too
Can I ask something? My PS4 Slim has a 500db Harddrive and I havent update for years so it has a old firmware on it. If I switch to an SSD and install the newest firmware, and decide to switch back to my harddrive, what happens to my firmware. will it changed back to the old version? because I want to keep that firmware on that harddrive.
I did all that cuz my ps4 wasnt working anymore . But It just refuse to boot on safe mode or anything . I press and hold the power button , second bip is about 10 , I release , and the ps4 just close . PLEASE HELP
what can i replace ssd with? where can i find that replacement other then amazon or online market? tell me pls
Ive done this to a ps4 fat model cuh 1216b, the ssd is a kingston, now have a lot of issues and problem, like error in the load of the game map, the ps4 now run really slow and they have lag isssues,

What is the exact size of your Phillips head screw driver?
Does the, initialize PS4(Reinstall System Software) automatically format the SSD as the internal storage
