I was 18 years old when I attended the March on Washington. I was fired from my job after I returned home. Additionally, President John F. Kennedy; Malcolm X; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.;and Senator Robert Kennedy were all assassinated. I was truely saddened, but the fight to humanize America still continues.

This is one of the most perful speeches that I have ever listened to. It brings forth realities with greater respect but with greater rawness. I like the fact that MLK doesn't play politically correct. He rather says it as it is without using a language that is wanting

He is one of the greatest saints OF ANY COLOR our world has ever known. I am 85, I have respected him and the other freedom martyrs and workers greatly from the beginning of their service to God and country. But NOW! NOW i am hearing a voice that was sane, gracious and consecrated beyond anything I can now conceive. Thank God for RUclips. What I failed to see in the 1960s, I now feast on in these dark, demon filled 2020s.

What a way to lay the thing down! Though the man himself is no longer with us (and may he rest in God’s rest and peace, and may God bless and rest his soul) his words, nonetheless, still live with us… and they must always continue to live both with us and in us as a perpetual memorial… unless the dictates of time necessitate and demand otherwise!
“…and it is a torturous logic to use the tragic results of segregation as an argument for the continuation of it…!” -MLK Jr. …what a word, so profound… yet… so profoundly simple! This speech is chock full of depth of thought, insight, and wisdom to almost no end! Thank you, Dr. king!
And thank you, Matthew Siegfried, for uploading this great and invaluable video and speech!

His greatness came from his willingness to hear The Holy Spirit within and to share with the world the light therein. This world fears the light, just as it feared it with Jesus and Bob Marley and Ghandi, and sought to eliminate the threat with death. But the lesson of the Ressurection is clear: death has no effect on what God created.
