Set up PioneerDJ DDJ-200 for Macbook without Splitter Cable. Use your mac's speakers as booth output

- You do not need a splitter cable. Just your Macbook, your headphones and DDJ-200 are all you need to do DJing anywhere you want.
For Windows, you will need to use a driver called ASIO4ALL. Once you choose ASIO4ALL as the audio output in rekordbox preference, you should be able to find ASIO4ALL icon in the tray bar where you can configure sound output.
MR MIYAO YOU SAVED MY CAREER! I WAS SO SAD UNTIL I FOUND YOUR VIDEO, YOU ARE AN ANGEL
goated vid frfr helped me ALOT! I dont understand how this is the only helpful video I stumble across explaining how i can listen to the track on the other deck with headphones, being new in this scene i found it really hard to get the knowledge
Find on your DDJ200, in the middle, you should find a section titled "HEADPHONES". Try pushing on MASTER, cue 1 ~ 2 buttons to switch what you can hear on your headphones.
Amazing, thanks so much for this helpful tutorial!!
This might be the great video ever made

thank you so much.
I followed your tutorial with and it appeared to go smoothly. I was able to make all the options the same as you’ve selected.
But there still seems to be an issue. My cue button just plays out the master 🥲
Any ideas for trouble shooting? ❤
Thank you, genius!!

Great Video! Thank you for this. I am having one issue, when I play the tracks I have no control over the gain and they're all clipping. Would you know how to fix it??
Hi! I do not know why you have no control over gain. But as for clipping, did you check up your Buffer Size? If the buffer size is too small, it tends to clip more often.
Hello and thank you for you video, I found it very helpful! I have an issue connecting my DDJ-200 to a Windows PC. It does not recognize the controller and I have tried everything on the internet. It works fine with the mobile apps though. Any chance you can give me advice, please?
We just got a mini windows 10 machine the other day for our son. Please allow a day or two since he will certainly be excited to see DDJ200 connected to his computer.

I am able to select the Aggregate Device on CoreAudio but I cannot see aggregate devices as options, just outputs 1, 2, 3, and 4.
I use MacBook Air. ://
Is "Mixer Mode" in thre Audio Preferences set to "Internal"?
I wonder if you use the controller plugged into mac book headphones into headphone jack for cue and sound out of bluetooth speaker..this possible?
It should be possible but you might suffer from delayed sound output from the bluetooth speaker, which makes difficult to do mix (beat matching) with headphones. The delay may be negligibly short. The safest is to test first.
How do I connect speaker output to my Bluetooth speakers and monitor through wired headphones?
You will probably be able to connect to BT speakers but you might be annoyed by delayed sound outpu (latency issue).
Hello! Just wondering if there’s a way to use the “master” headphone button on the controller? I’ve played with settings but can get it to work. The cue for deck 1 and 2 work fine but for some reason I can’t get master output to my headphones
Sorry for a late response. You mean, the cue / master button? Could you check up the page 123 of this manual? cdn.rekordbox.com/files/20200323144552/rekordbox6.0.0_manual_EN.pdf
I have the same problem. Did you figure it out?
Can you do this the same and send the sound via bluetootth to the external speakers?
In theory yes, but you will have a problem with latency. The sound you hear will not match with that you see on screen and that you hear on your headphones. Please let me know how it goes.
Hi, when i did all the steps in the midi control. I went to open rekb. When i wanna choose phone for the output its not showing up. Its just saying i can choose between input 1,2,3 or 4 wtf!
Do you mean "input 1,2,3 or 4 " in the pull down menu?
Amazing video! But my rekordbox aggregate device doesn't appear in Audio drop-down in the Rekordbox v6.4.8. please, help
Isn't the version 6.8.4? Did you add "Aggregate Device" in the "Audio MIDI Setup" app? pasteboard.co/fWCaeXFmF2mu.jpg
@@miyaosource yes, I did and it doesn’t appear in the rekordbox. It’s the latest version for macos
@@AlinaLicht Sorry but it looks like you need to contact pioneer in that case. You are using Macbook Air by any chance?
@@miyaosource I started over and created a new aggregate device and it worked for me. Thanks. But the sound from Master channel doesn't;t play in headphones still
Bro can i use ddj 200 with heavy DJ setup and heavy full vollium?
The sound comes from your computer because DDJ has no audio output or input. So the sound quality depends on your computer. Please be reminded that DDJ-200 is just a controller with less controllable features than other DDJs. One of few advantages over other controllers is that it is very compact.
When I go to switch my input record to aggregate device the input deck 1 appears blank instead of showing MASTER OUT
Is the Mixer Mode set to "Internal"?
Greetings my friend. I followed the video step by step, and I do not have sound coming through my headphones. Can you help me with this please. Thank you so much.
Sure! Can you tell me MacOS version as well as the model of your mac you are using to begin with?

You meant that you cannot find the devices in the "Audio MIDI Setup" application?

How can I control the volume from the MacBook Pro? I followed all steps but I can not control the volume coming out from the MacBook Pro
Hi, can you try choosing "Macbook Pro Speakers" as the Output in the Sound settings of your Mac's System Settings? You should now be able to control the sound level from your keyboard.
Audio Midi Setup softver, but do you know one for Windows similar?
Sorry but I do not know much about windows. Did you check out "property" of your sound driver?
not to forget, there is a small icon to switch between split output and normal output in the rekordbox.
I've followed the tutorial, however when I choose the aggregate device, the whole output channel settings changes to output deck 1,2,3,4. So, the headphones output option and booth output option are gone. Any help with this?
Hi, can you check the name of "Aggregate Device" The device name must be "Aggregate Device" (case sensitive)
@@miyaosource yes it the same. Case sensitive as well.

Hi i have w MacBook Pro 2019 and ddj 200 do I need usb A to usb B & otg please I’ll wait your answer how about if was a china or not it’s not gonna be a problem?
Hi, I think that it is better for you to buy USB C hub rather than USB type c adapter. As for headphones, I think that you might have stereo mini-headphone jack on either side of your macbook, which you might want to double check. What is the screen size of your Macbook? 13, 15 or 16'?
