I’m not sure if it’s the coach or the match committee at Fremantle who’ve made poor team choices all year but whichever one it is needs to go. They’ve selected injured players over multiple games, used the top team to let players get back into form instead of playing in the reserves, and allowed aging players to hold spots in the team while leaving obvious in-form players out. When they do bring better players in they play them for a game or two before dropping them so they don’t get enough time at that level to acclimatise.

@@neilwales7543 lol, referring to a game from 16 years ago where I don’t believe anybody is still around at those clubs just shows the jealousy in you.
Carlton "have bought into high end pressure." The Blues have won 2 out of their last 8 games with wins against North and Eagles. Made the finals due to the inability of Fremantle, Essendon and Dees 2 from 7, 1 from 7 and 1 from 6 respectively at the business end of the season. The Pies is the form team that would have been capable of knocking off the Lions at the Gabba.
Here's a thought... Carlton make the 8 on percentage over Collingwood, the first club since 1981 to miss the finals with 52 points. Behind Collingwood, on 50 points, but a higher percentage than Carlton, is Fremantle. Collingwood had 2 draws, one of them was against Fremantle (round 11) In the last quarter of that round 11 game, Fremantle goaled from a contentious free, and a Freemantle player kicked a behind with the last score of the match. If NOTHING else changes anywhere in the competition, but one or the other of those events, what happens? Either Frementle is NOT paid that contentious free, and therefore does score, Collingwood win, and make the 8 by half a game over Carlton... or Jeremy Sharp kicks a goal (rather than a behind), Fremantle win, and make the 8 by percentage over Carlton. EVERY round is important!!
The win by Footscray was not as good as many may think, GWS had no Bedford, Daniels, etc.. I think the hierarchy at GWS didn't mind losing this one, they have no fear of the Swans in Sydney. That's my conspiracy theory, that GWS are not worried at all losing to the Dogs and are now going against the Swans with Daniels and Beford rested. Speed is the key to winning this year, and Daniels and Bedford are key to the ball going fwd fast, the Swans are slower than the GWS at their best. I actually think that GWS could beat the Swannies in the first week of the finals. The Doggies could've won it anyway, even if GWS had fielded their best twenty-two. I think that match worked out very nicely for both teams. :)
These two have a big omelet hanging off their face. Shame as they had strong connections to the PAFC. Asking Buckley "Can Port win the Premiership" borders on cringe worthy.
