So sad that it's again just about those 10 magnificent athlets at the front. No doubt that they deserved the recognition in the documentary. I also loved the little throwback to the very early editions. On the other hand Red Bull X-Alps 2023 had so many magical moves by female and male athlets in the midfield as well. I would love to see them represente in this documentary as well. In case you didn't see them just ask the fans. The thing that's getting misrepresented every edition is that it not a 100% about winning. It's about the adventure, overcoming your limits and the spirit shared among the pilots. All criticism aside. I love the race, the concept and all the videos about it. (A sign of respect would be to show all landings at the raft just for an example). Congratulation to every Athlet who took part in Red Bull X-Alps 2023.
Really sad especially since it was such a close race. And such magnificent pilots like Markus Anders who even were in the lead for a short time are not even mentioned... I think every pilot should be represented in the documentary. At least the ones who reached goal. But I think every pilot deserves his spot even if he or she didn't make it...
I waffled back an forth on your comment. It was a race, and yet it was a marathon event. Red Bull called it a documentory. I think it falls short of that, more like a mini-documentory at best. They definately need to show more of daily stages, similar to the Dakar.
Never knew about an event like this. I wonder if NZ has something like this? Spectacular footage, great coverage and thank you Red Bull X-Alps for puting it up on youtube for everyone to enjoy
Great production! ..with such a long break between the xalps editions I feel like there is time to make few movies like that and perhaps show us the race from different perspectives. Maybe with the female athletes only, maybe with the rookies perspective only, maybe with the backstage only? I suspect you and the pilots have so much footage from the race, that it is "only" a matter of putting it together. Fingers crossed! :)
Thank you Red Bull for this nice video and summary. Of course, it's usually always about the front places and the ones at the back don't get as much attention, but of course the excitement is also about the podium. It would be nice if someone from the Red Bull team read this, but the summaries that were made every day were a disaster this year. It would have been really nice and you could literally read that under every video that there were simply missing excerpts in video form. Some athletes like Markus or Paul had their own video maker with them and it was easier to follow the race there than with you. I would still like to thank you for your work and wish you a nice winter break.
Not only is the footage sensational, but - even more important - it is perfectly narrated. Many other reports about non-mainstream sports are just randam selections of great looking videos but they do not tell a story.
Paragliders need to acknowledge the REAL origin of "hike and fly," hang glider pilot Didier Favre who started "The Crazy Crossing of the Alps" decades before the X-Alps began. Only he did it carrying a 70lb HANG GLIDER.
I am gonna watch this on repeat everyday for the next 2 weeks. Xalps is top class! So far ahead in the adventure racing world. Thank you all! 😍😍😍😭😇😎✈🏞🌃🔥🔥🔥

Definitely the best paragliding event in my opinion. What a race but more important, what an adventure !
Such a fascinating race. I'd love to see a longer documentary after each event.
Well Done James, we're proud of you !!!!

Superb edit, great job Tarquin. Of course it's not possible to cover the whole story in under an hour but you captured the spirit very well
There is so much going on, you might consider a small series. I’d watch!
Thank you for this great summary! Thanks :)
Such a well made video!
Awesome movie. What an adventure
Good job Red Bull! What a production and planning!
Super Video. Bringt mit als garmischer Anfänger richtig viel. Das versuche ich nächste Saison mal nachzumachen.
Wir sehen uns am Startplatz 😁
I love it. Flying, hiking, adventure ! What's more to say ?! GRATZ

So how did Maurer overtake Pinot and Lacaze? (29:00)
Wow. strong people!
Asking them questions while they are preparing their equipment for a takeoff ... I sure hope the supporters are checking him in the mean time.
So exciting to see, watch, feel... so greats Athletes and Spirit , thks 🤩
Great to see this!!
Finally!!🤩

Great Race! How do I qualify for participation?
Maurer e' gia leggenda ma da italiano faccio comunque i miei complimenti a Durogati,Donini e Grossruratscher per l'ottima gara!!

Beautiful video super 🏔️🏔️🏔️🪂❤️💪🏽👍👍👍🏆
Eliminations are dumb. Just let them finish? If it was me I would simply continue

Dommage pas de sous-titre 😢
What is the name of this place? Where is it located? Please tell me👏
It's the alps in Europe that span several countries. It's not 1 place. It explains it all at the beginning.
🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤👏👏👏
Paliiiii🎉❤
Fly to sky😊
Damn....im lazy

If Brad sander were here then he would finish it within 5 days😢❤

I guess the guy talking about the dominance has never heard of Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Lol, Mayweather was a better runner than boxer, always picking the easy fights or waiting for the greats to get old

Eli wrote history. Womenpower - epic.
She didn’t win. But very lovely she got to play with the boys for a bit. Only one winner
Nice they let the ladies play too but only one winner
Perfect way for the overly competitive Euros to escape the mental torture of inherited narcissism and self hatred
