Honestly I'd put chapter 2 in the #1 spot. It's just so nostalgic for me. When I first played it on release day I instantly got hooked on Valentine. I was about 8 years old and I still remember all the fun I had. I miss those days 😔.

To me chapter 6 has to be #1 because it wraps up one of the best games of all time

@@RedDeadTierLists True, although I'd honestly say RDR2 has the be THE best game of all time, just in my opinion.

@amichelo Chapter 6 is definitely the most important chaper in the entire game, though, for sure.

    My Ranking
    8. Epilogue part 1: Not too much to it some overly realistic missions tho it can make the outlaw life more fun after doing those
    7. Chapter 1: Ambience is top notch, the missions are cool chill introductory it feels like you’re really in the cold. Sometimes on replay it can get a little stale but the “Old Friends & Who the hell is Leviticus Cornwall” are awesome.
    6. Chapter 5: Such a very action packed and intense chapter with incredible music and ambience with the very upbeat and fast action scenes and with Dutch slowly descending into madness and ending off with the insane bangs with the emotional ride back to Shady Bell, Arthur getting TB and Molly being the “rat” and getting brutally shot with the insane entrance to Chapter 6
    5. Epilogue Part 2: Lots of fun missions notably the Sadie bounty hunting ones, Uncle’s bad day with the Skinenr Brothers and them as a great adversary, the beautiful Abigail and John mission with the proposal and of course the ending American Venom and the credits.
    4. Chapter 4: The missions start getting more intense as it’s the calm before the storm nothing is really chill anymore. The opportunity for fun in Saint Denis with the stranger missions and such are so much fun. The missions are filled with mixed emotions like saving Jack and amazing camp party for most, The O’Driscoll’s attacking you and the death of Kieran, the trolley heist which was booka intense, the killing of Brontë and Banking the Old American Art with the shocking deaths
    3. Chapter 2: This for me had the most comedic missions, least emotional value, this is always the chapter where I hunt like crazy and have fun around most of the map doing my own thing, the missions are full of great dialogue not much seriousness and fun things to do in Valentine and more, they also have the OG camp which is probably the best camp location in terms of it being in the middle of everything! Ending the chapter off with a bang❗️
    2. Chapter 3: This chapters has some of the most fun missions in the gang which aren’t all dark and serious holding emotional value till the end of the chapter, you have the gang acting as cops, The crazy missions like Uncle’s failed stage coach heist, Lenny and Arthur killing Lemoyne Raiders, The Bank heist, Trelawny bounty Hunter mission and Stage Coach mission, the burning of the tobacco fields, Sean’s death and the shootout in town, and The burning and killings of Braithwaite’s! Also with my favorite location for a camp in terms of beauty
    1. Chapter 6!!! This chapter has the best missions in the game with the darkest and saddest missions with too many to talk about it has incredible emotional value with the Stranger Missions and so on, it is the most heartbreaking chapter and always a joy to replay because of how good it is!

I like the content. My critique would be that it would add so much more if you had recorded video playing in the background that actually pertained to each chapter you were discussing. When you talk about Guarma, I want to see clips from Guarma. Other than that, I like these rankings... well done.

    1-Chapter 2
    2-Chapter 3
    3-Chapter 6

5-Chapter 1 (idk why i love this chapter)

  • @Gigagato_

Note: ranking mostly based on gameplay rather than story.
    8 - Colter
    7 - Pronghorn Ranch
    6 - Guarma
    5 - Clemens Point
    4 - Horseshoe Overlook
    3 - Beecher's Hope
    2 - Beaver Hollow
    1 - Saint Denis
Chapter 6 is the best chapter storywise but gameplay wise it has too much filler and drags on for too long (the Indian sub-plot could have been cut in half). While Chapter 4 has relatively little filler and has a good duration, not too short, not too long. Chapter 4 is also the first chapter that doesn't have any tutorial missions.

    My ranking
    Chapter 6
    Epilogue Part 2
    Chapter 2
    Chapter 4
    Chapter 3
    Epilogue Part 1
    Chapter 1
    Chapter 5
Chapter 6 is the best by far. This changed the game from a great cowboy western simulator to an emotionally impactful narrative. Arthur’s arc is beautiful. The missions are great Visiting Hours, Do Not Seek Absolution, My Last Boy, The Bridge to Nowhere, Red Dead Redemption, The Delights of Van Horn and my favourite The Fine Art of Conversation. There’s so many hard hitting moments in the arc. I love the final mission so much it is absolutely fantastic and the perfect ending to the game. I play the game with high honour because I think it makes more sense to the story and it makes the game so much better because of the emotional payoff we get. I’m probably going to have to explain why The Fine Art Of Conversation is my favourite mission. The shootout is of course fun but what really makes me love the mission is the conversation you have with Sister Calderon at the end of the mission. It hits so hard seeing a closed of man finally express to someone that he is terrified of death and I can relate to that a lot. This part made me tear up a bit. The advice Calderon gives Arthur really shapes his character and he finally decides he’s going to get John and his family out of the gang if it’s the last thing he does. He’s changed from an angry outlaw to a calm and loving man. I always try to get full honour before I do this mission.

    My list:
    8. Chapter 1 - still very good
    7. Epilogue 1 - good vibes and something different from shooting
    6. Chapter 5 - I like Guarma but it was very short
    5. Epilogue 2 - good vibes fun missions but its not the same without Arthur
    4. Chapter 6 - sad and deep but I didnt like the missions at the end shooting was just boring
    3. Chapter 2 - I wanted more shooting because first missions werent so great
    2. Chapter 4 - i love city vibes
    1. Chapter 3 - good vibes, best missions and one of the best camps

Disagree about the missions at the end of Chapter 6. They were some of the best in the entire game. It was a couple of the missions in the middle of the chapter that weren’t great.

    • @terminallumbago6465

I feel like Chapter 6 at points felt sluggish and like filler.
It may have been better to wrap up the O’Driscolls arc earlier (like in chapter 4). Those missions felt out of place as the Pinkertons closed in and the storyline with Rains Fall and Eagle Flies heated up.
The mission where you help the Captain retrieve the medicine was just another pointless, filler coach robbery. Then we get another one with the dynamite, but that one was at least a little more important (a bit of a callback to the oil wagon mission in chapter 2).
I feel like the chapter would have been better if 2 or 3 of the missions in the middle were removed from the chapter. It just felt slow and long at times.

    8. Chapter 1: Almost made me quit the game the first time I played
    7. Epilogue P1: Agree with what you said but it was chill after the craziness of C6
    6. Epilogue P2: Cool but didn’t hit that hard for me
    5. Chapter 2: Unpopular opinion but I didn’t think there was anything that puts this one above others
    4. Chapter 5: Idk but I thought the whole rebellion thing was pretty cool
    3. Chapter 6: Awesome but so much craziness was going on
    2. Chapter 4: Some awesome missions such as the gambling boat one
    1. Chapter 3: I loved everything about C3, the plantation burning, playing both sides, just doing random shit around Rhodes was so fun

You talk about how Red Dead Redemption 2 is mostly about the story(which I absolutely agree with). Yet put Chapter 1 in D tier, Epilogue part 1 too. I didn't really think much of it, only that you mostly like pew pew more than the story. Then you go on to say how the story is the catalyst for RDR2, also noticed some mistakes, like how you said that ''pinkerton's'' were in Guarma, while in reality it was Cuban soldiers together with a CUBAN battleship, because Guarma was a part of Cuba and a revolution would mean that they wouldn't have any more sugar plantations to sell the sugar from.

    • @RedDeadTierLists
      @RedDeadTierLists  Год назад +4

Pinkertons are in Chapter 5, that’s what I was talking about not the Guarma fights. Also not much of the actual story happens in either Chapter 1 or Epilogue Part 1, so that’s why I put them at the bottom. They work but they don’t advance the story further.

the epilogue 1&2 with John feels like Rockstar wanted that part to be a DLC.
strange to finish the game as Arthur and immediately start playing as John.
I would have been happy if the game ended with Arthur at Beaver Hollow.
that would have been perfect. and make the optional side quests actually part tod the story to basically show how Arthur truly changed and wants to save people.
for example the missions in which you save Miss Downes and his son Archie from that dump mining town Annesburg and give them money to change their lives should have been part of the main story.
playing Arthur as a bad evil low honor level character kinda makes no sense for the overall story.

Guarma had its own charm. I’ve seen AAA games that are WAYYYY worse than guarma. Although guarma was fun, it wasn’t the best, the title is overreacting, guarma was too short, Dutch being Dutch, left guarma. Colter, shorter than guarma, and kinda just sucked. Def one of the worser chapters. It had 2 battles. Guarma had 2. Horseshoe overlook god knows how many, right?
