My mom came up to me during pride month and asked me “Are you a lesbian?” At the time I wasn’t sure and I thought I was straight. I later thought I was bi. I had liked a guy and got a boyfriend but I broke up with him because I thought I liked a girl. I later thought I was pan because I was pretty sure I liked everyone. I still thought I liked that girl. I later thought I was ace because I just didn’t really have feelings for people. I was reconsidering my feelings for that girl. I realized I liked that girl. A lot. I told my friend and she was really supported and suggested I might be bi or lesbian. I thought about it and figured I was one of those. I found myself liking that friend too. And another friend that was also a girl. That first girl I liked found out I liked her.. she doesn’t share the same feelings but she continues to be my best friend. I was so heartbroken when she said she didn’t like me like that. I soon got over it, but I still have feelings for her. Around that time I had figured out I was, and am A lesbian. uWu

When I was nine, me and my mom walked through the Gay Pride festival. I had asked her, "What exactly is this festival about?" She responded with "It's a festival for the gay people in the world to share their pride." I had a huge rainbow lollipop that I wasn't gonna open (I never eat lollipops like that, I just hold onto them for no good reason), and I saw all the rainbow flags. As we passed by an older girl, she looked a bit sad and lonely. I still feel great for what I did; I tapped her and gave her my lollipop. She looked so happy and was smiling the rest of the time. To this day, I am out of the closet with my parent's and friend's support. Me and my girlfriend are very happy. I'm so happy to see that so many people in the comments here and the video itself supports LGBT+. Some people can make my day in an instant.

I told my doctor about me being pan when I was getting diagnosed with depression. She said if I came out my anxiety would go away. So I did and my mom said it was “just a phase”. And my dad (who was an alcoholic and got a divorce with my mom) is more accepting of me than her. I’ve never been closer to my dad. So my doctor was half right 🤣

I know this video is about three years old, i just wanted to share how i came out. If any of you guys, gals, and other types of pals are thinking about coming out, i have a few suggestions. Make sure you have a backup plan just in case things go south and you're parents kick you out. I didn't have a backup plan for one. Thankfully my mom was accepting, but I don't know your parents so don't forget to make sure you can stay with someone you know, love, and trust. Make sure you do your homework on what you're coming out as, for two reasons. 1. You could answer any questions you're parents may have. They won't be able to support you if they don't know what you are. 2. So you won't have to come out twice because you made a mistake, like I did. I thought i was bi when i was pan because i didn't do research. Plan and research before you come out. I hope you all stay safe and amazing. You are all loved and valid, no matter what anyone says 💖

I know this is old... But I had a conversation with my mom about this yesterday. She told me to be less insecure and I told her maybe if she, the person I have contact with every day, would accept my identity and stop trying to invalidate me during every interaction we have, I might actually feel somewhat welcome on this planet and would stop seriously considering leaping off a bridge, because no one will ever want me. My mom told me I have to prove it to her first (by calling a mental hospital, which is something I have a phobia about, partly due to her being a terrible parent) and that by the time i can prove it, I'll just magically have turned cis and straight. I'd rather die than go back in the closet.

Literally just yesterday (4/9/2018), I came home to my sister saying how her best friend came out and said she had a crush on her. And, being us, we began defending being gay (for no reason, really... Just that we are extremely supportive of these things... We're an odd pair). Then, at some point, she says, "There's nothing wrong with liking the same gender. You can love whoever you love." And, being dead-ass serious, *"Like me, for example. I'm what's known as pan. So, in other words, I like EVERYONE."* And I almost started sobbing because she smiled so brightly, so supportively, at me and said, "Really?" *"Yeah."* "That's cool!" And then we went back to watching Steven Universe. She's twelve years old. I can't explain how proud I am of her.

So, I've come out to my mom but not to my dad. Sooo, at my mom's I usually wear "girl" clothes. But at my dads I kinda wear them and then I have slowly started to wear more and more "girl" clothes. I also have been easing him into it. Like we were watching x factor the other day and he asked me if I thought a girl named Tracy that was competing was pretty and I said"Not really." Then he asked me if I liked Nicole and I said "Not really." Then he pointed at the host of the show and asked if he was handsome and I blushed and didn't answer. Then, he said "I don't care if you're gay or not." I don't know if my siblings told him and didn't tell me they told him or if he actually doesn't know!! Help me!! Edit: I came out to him recently and he accepted me I wrote on a piece of paper "I'm gay" crumbled it up then before getting out of the car to school I put it in the console and told him to open it when he got home. I felt so relieved when he accepted me. And apparently my siblings didn't tell him so yay. Well one of my siblings told my mom months before so they were probably felt bad to tell him too.
So I go to a Catholic School and I'm bisexual and when I first got enrolled at school my mom said don't tell anyone your bisexual and I said why and she said because your not bisexual and then I literally cried for ten minutes 😥

When I was nine, me and my mom walked through the Gay Pride festival. I had asked her, "What exactly is this festival about?" She responded with "It's a festival for the gay people in the world to share their pride." I had a huge rainbow lollipop that I wasn't gonna open (I never eat lollipops like that, I just hold onto them for no good reason), and I saw all the rainbow flags. As we passed by an older girl, she looked a bit sad and lonely. I still feel great for what I did; I tapped her and gave her my lollipop. She looked so happy and was smiling the rest of the time.
To this day, I am out of the closet with my parent's and friend's support. Me and my girlfriend are very happy.

I told my doctor about me being pan when I was getting diagnosed with depression. She said if I came out my anxiety would go away. So I did and my mom said it was “just a phase”. And my dad (who was an alcoholic and got a divorce with my mom) is more accepting of me than her. I’ve never been closer to my dad. So my doctor was half right 🤣

I know this video is about three years old, i just wanted to share how i came out. If any of you guys, gals, and other types of pals are thinking about coming out, i have a few suggestions. Make sure you have a backup plan just in case things go south and you're parents kick you out. I didn't have a backup plan for one. Thankfully my mom was accepting, but I don't know your parents so don't forget to make sure you can stay with someone you know, love, and trust. Make sure you do your homework on what you're coming out as, for two reasons. 1. You could answer any questions you're parents may have. They won't be able to support you if they don't know what you are. 2. So you won't have to come out twice because you made a mistake, like I did. I thought i was bi when i was pan because i didn't do research. Plan and research before you come out.
I hope you all stay safe and amazing. You are all loved and valid, no matter what anyone says 💖

She told me to be less insecure and I told her maybe if she, the person I have contact with every day, would accept my identity and stop trying to invalidate me during every interaction we have, I might actually feel somewhat welcome on this planet and would stop seriously considering leaping off a bridge, because no one will ever want me.
My mom told me I have to prove it to her first (by calling a mental hospital, which is something I have a phobia about, partly due to her being a terrible parent) and that by the time i can prove it, I'll just magically have turned cis and straight. I'd rather die than go back in the closet.

Personally, I'm pansexual. However, while I find people attractive, I don't really want to DATE them, because I'm not... Attracted to them? But I am? I don't know what it means... I only ever actually develop feelings for non-existant characters.
I used to think I was asexual as well as pan, but when I found out the definition, it didn't fit me. I still WANT a relationship, and I DO find anyone attractive, I can't/don't/wouldn't actually date them. It's like...

Anyways, I'm a closeted pansexual (as well as the above description-thing), tomboy female. I've never actually come out to anyone (aside my sister -- telling that story in a moment), but I'm not *afraid* to. Instead, I just don't know how to go about it. I'm not really attracted to anyone, and I don't openly talk about dating or anything (especially after an incident with a boy where I continuously lied about not dating him- that's a different story entirely...), so it never comes up. However, I'm proud of who I am, and I know my Grandmother (essentially my mom, as she has raised me since I was born) - who, I must add, is the only person who's opinion I'd care about (again, aside from my sister) - would support and love me all the same.
And almost all my friends are on the LGBTQ+ scale (and the ones who aren't still accept me), so I don't have to worry there.
As for my sister... Literally just yesterday (4/9/2018), I came home to my sister saying how her best friend came out and said she had a crush on her. And, being us, we began defending being gay (for no reason, really... Just that we are extremely supportive of these things... We're an odd pair).
Then, at some point, she says, "There's nothing wrong with liking the same gender. You can love whoever you love."
And, being dead-ass serious, *"Like me, for example. I'm what's known as pan. So, in other words, I like EVERYONE."*
And I almost started sobbing because she smiled so brightly, so supportively, at me and said, "Really?"
*"Yeah."*
"That's cool!"
And then we went back to watching Steven Universe.
She's twelve years old.
I can't explain how proud I am of her.

So, I've come out to my mom but not to my dad. Sooo, at my mom's I usually wear "girl" clothes. But at my dads I kinda wear them and then I have slowly started to wear more and more "girl" clothes. I also have been easing him into it. Like we were watching x factor the other day and he asked me if I thought a girl named Tracy that was competing was pretty and I said"Not really." Then he asked me if I liked Nicole and I said "Not really." Then he pointed at the host of the show and asked if he was handsome and I blushed and didn't answer. Then, he said "I don't care if you're gay or not." I don't know if my siblings told him and didn't tell me they told him or if he actually doesn't know!! Help me!!
Edit: I came out to him recently and he accepted me I wrote on a piece of paper "I'm gay" crumbled it up then before getting out of the car to school I put it in the console and told him to open it when he got home. I felt so relieved when he accepted me. And apparently my siblings didn't tell him so yay. Well one of my siblings told my mom months before so they were probably felt bad to tell him too.

I am a proud gay guy, the elected ‘gay dad’ of my school, and proud to say that I have many rainbow children. I remember one day, I was making an apple pie with my mom and we get to talking about my future.
She says “Do you you wanna be popular” but without the fun music, magic wands and me without my green makeup. She says, “If you wanna have lots of guys in the dorm, learn to make an apple pie, they’ll be eating out of your hand!” To which I responded “Mother!” Because she’s always been uncomfortable discussing my sexuality. At this point she goes rigid and practically screams “I MEAN FRIENDS! LOTS OF FRIENDS! MEN, WOMEN, ASSORTED OTHER GENDER IDENTITIES!” And I just dropped my head in my hands because I couldn’t look at her without choking on my own laughter.
