      @@zacharywiggins3768 If they are organizers and acting as a guide, then they take on liability.
      It also isnt just them. Somebody drunk or gets stoned in their house vs doing it while behind the wheel for example. The law is less about protecting them, more about protecting those around then.
      Is like what I say as a rider who sees other motorcyclists being stupid. I dont care what they do. They go and kill themselves, is their choice. But they decide to wipe out and put themselves under the wheels of a semi on the highway? Semi driver has to live with those memories and if rider lives, everybody else has to deal with taking care of em for rest of their life.
      So yeah, tell them no because were a lot of other trail users who had their day ruined because organizers didnt ensure proper responsibility.
      Go to a track day. Cars are checked. If not suitable for track? They wont let you on. Miss drivers session? Too bad. Come back next time.

    Having the presence of mind to throw it in reverse and hit the gas when the front end starts lifting is already asking a lot of the average wheeler. To manage that with an H pattern shifter adds another level of complexity. To pull it off with one arm would probably require hours of practicing for that specific situation. There's just too many things to manage and they all have to go just right to save it.
    I'm glad she survived. I hope she learned some lessons, but I'm glad she's rebuilding her rig and getting back out there too. I don't know what her build was before, but she needs a doubler with some super low gearing. She should not have to even think about the clutch once she's rolling.

    • @jutley6473
      @jutley6473 Месяц назад

      You had to be there. Normally she can pop the clutch and rest back down no issue at all. 8 years of offroading, one flop and this event. Not a bad record really. She also already has a 80:1 crawl ratio so a crawl box would be unnecessary.

  • @ikondrift

    Loses an arm, decides to impress people by driving stick and having her hands off the wheel every time she needs to shift gears. Is told "this next one is difficult, not for beginners", drives straight into that. Now that she lost the use of her thumb too, she's going to be rebuilding a car, using powertools... I feel like I know exactly how she lost an arm in the first place, and exactly how her life will go on in the future.

    Matt at Matt's Offroad Recovery does some seriously sketchy stuff, things that are incredibly dangerous and downright stupid at time. Sending out someone from the other side of the country to "guide" a trail he's never driven has to be near the top of the list. Trail guides are supposed to know the trail and spend time pre-running it to know all the bypasses and the navigation. Sorry to his fans, but Matt is a clown; if you want a recovery by WOT and a snatch strap, he's the guy to call.

      @@bleepinjeep I don't know him and I don't care to, he's a known fraudster for one thing. I was hopeful about his channel when he first started, but around the time he nearly pulled a vehicle over his own dog I had to admit he's dangerous.
