  • In today's session, we head to The Lodge in Round Rock, TX. We sit down for some $1/2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em and play for about an hour until getting called for $1/3 NL Match-the-Stack. We win more than we lose at the must-move game before getting moved to the main game with a pretty big chip stack, only to encounter a MASSIVE pot only three hands in. Watch to see what happens!

      Thanks! It felt like 50/50 he could have the flush there. The 7 on the river made my hand too strong to fold given other holdings he could have.

    The Q9dd hand you should block lead/fold the river.

    • @HuggiePoker

      That's reasonable, I probably should have. Good suggestion!

    I Really like your agressive Playstyle & to me it feels like, you improved your game since the beginning!
    And of Course the QQ Hand is absolut Sick and Nice xD As you know, Run Hot, Hotter, Huggie :D

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      That's funny you say I play aggressively! There are so many hands where I think I might not be aggressive enough, but I'm probably being my own biggest critic. For the QQ hand in particular, I mostly just wanted to get the money in before there was a scare card, which the J on the turn absolutely would have been (for me).

      @@HuggiePoker I mean for example in the first 3 Hands. It is the right Play to raise with AJ (TPTK) instead of just calling. I have a hard time doing so sometimes & I think you play these Spots good agressiv and correct. Do you feel like, you im proved your game over the time, since you making your Vlog?!

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      That's fair, I probably would have just called with TPTK in earlier sessions given the same scenario. And yes, having to review all my hands to put these vlogs together has been incredibly helpful for my game!

    sorry if it's a stupid question but let's say you're playing a 1-3nl and you got $200 stacks of $5 chips, you're one of the blinds and the utg raises to let's say $25 for example....and youre the big blind which is $3 how do you cover the blinds do you get change from dealer? And when you do have it in do you take the blind back and put 5 $5 chips in or do you count the blind and just add $22 dollars and get change from dealer?

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад +1

      Whenever you put out the minimum number of chips required to match a bet, it's considered a call. So if the big blind is $3 and I put a $5 do out, it's considered a call, and the dealer will give me change after the action closes.
      To call, you can do either of the actions you mentioned. Whatever amount ends up in the middle (as part of a single hand motion) represents your desired action. What matters is the amount of chips on the middle.
      If you put out a single chip, it's always considered a call unless you verbally specify otherwise. If you put out multiple chips, it's a call unless you put out at least 50% more than the previous bet, then it's typically considered a raise. It may be cardroom dependent though. I'd suggest always verbalizing your intent to make things easier.

    How much did you tip on that queens full of jacks hand?

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      Not sure, I think I threw him 2 redbirds for that one. I definitely don't normally tip that much, but for that massive pot, I didn't mind. 😄
