The entire court process of coming forward IS SO TRAUMATIZING like u said! It is horrific! I was assaulted (not sexual) multiple times by the same people and when I filed for a restraining order the entire ordeal was so dehumanizing and scary. Writing down everything that happened and filing everything correctly so the police would do their jobs and serve these people. The police served one person and the others were aware they were next but not yet served. I was terrified because they knew my address. They could have shown up at any moment and I had no protection. Being in the courthouse, knowing they were somewhere in the same building, looking over my shoulder ever few seconds. I couldn't have a conversation because I was looking around so much. We r assigned the same courtroom and end up sitting in the same hallway, facing each other. Them glaring at me, putting on their best well behaved citizen look (and its convincing, as always) In the courtroom. Sitting up there, alone. Having to answer questions, retelling the story, hearing their arguments as to why what they did was okay/ I started it. Abusers know what they're doing but victims dont. That's y victims can be victinized. Abusers know how to work the system/ public. They are not the ones traumatized so they can hold their composure while their victims are distraught. They can speak fluently while ur voice cracks. They know how to play the act and u trusted then The court system puts victims in danger pretty often. Telling someone that u r speaking up and then not protecting u is horrific. Like they want it to escalate. I always say report things but they dont warn u how terrifying it is. U should report but make sure u have a support network and healthy coping mechanism
I’ve also been assaulted (not sexually) it didn’t get reported to anyone. I’m honestly really glad it didn’t I was only 8 or 9 and the kid who assaulted me needed therapy more than anything. Which the courts probably wouldn’t suggested. Plus it probably would have just made the whole situation worse. I’ve been able to disconnect my emotions from the situation and see it more as a story. Which I know probably isn’t the best but it’s what’s helped me come to terms with what happened. I probably wouldn’t have been able to come to terms with it if it was taken to court.
Yeah, I had no idea until my parents told me why my sister decided not to prosecute. She has PTSD and the guy who abused her is completely fine. It's horrible
kinda disagree about the having sex with your boss for a promotion part - i think that it pressures people into sex due to the power dynamic between boss and employee. i see that as being exploited rather than using your sexuality for your benefit; it's not something i'd blame the employee for, however. idk
No you’re absolutely right. At least in the US where I’m from, those kinds of relationships are a big no no in HR and can be a lawful reason for termination for the employer
I just think if you're sleeping with someone to get a promotion then by implication the person you are sleeping with is in a higher position of power than you and you are inherently being taken advantage of and it is not consensual.
I'm with you. I fully agreed with everything Kiwi said except for that. I mean think about it: even if it wasn't something so emotionally charged and stigmatized, would that be right or fair? If I went to my boss's house and did their laundry, should I get a promotion? It's even worse if that means I'd be getting a promotion over someone who does our actual job better than me. If my boss wants to pay me separately for doing a separate thing from my job, then that's another matter, of course. Then you add back in the emotional, physical, societal, etc consequences of having sex with your boss, then it gets even more complicated. I agree with what a bunch of y'all have said, that a power dynamic like that makes the whole thing seriously messed up. I'm all for people having the freedom to use their bodies how they want to, and using it to their advantage where they choose. But a situation like this doesn't feel right to me.
Funny thing about the whole “do boys get the talk about losing their virginity in Catholic school” question. From what I’ve heard from my homies who have attended Catholic school, they don’t. BUT, their “being gay is a sin” lesson is very similar to what the girls get regarding virginity. For whatever reason, most Catholic schools don’t see boys losing their virginity before marriage to be an issue, but they are much harsher with homophobic rhetoric towards the boys than the girls, and the stories I’ve heard are insane.
8:06 As someone who’s aware of All-Boys Catholic School, it’s the Wild Wild West. Queerphobia runs rampant as does physical violence. Even in a co-educational environment, the girls are given more lessons than boys in certain aspects.
I feel like having a sociology class required, focusing on current issues regarding human rights, in 5th grade, middle school, and high school should be a thing.
I agree. Taking one in college, I didn't learn much outside technical terms (social stratification and all that), but it would've been really informative in middle and high school.
Same. I have learnt way more about myself and other people through video essays, blogs and commentary videos than I have in school or even at uni, though uni helped teach me the difference between sex and gender (which helped break down my egg shell, I was so deep in the closet I could say hi to the king of narnia).
I saw a good comment once. Just because someone says 2+2=6 and another says 2+2=4 doesn't mean you arrive at 2+2=5. Sometimes 1 side is undoubtedly more correct than the other. And if one says 2+2=4 and another says 2+2=22, you don't say 14 because that's just dumb, you can at least see where the 2+2=22 person got that conclusion.
Its different though because social debates aren't mathematical problems. I do agree that when it comes to human rights there shouldnt be a "middle ground". But people are gonna be stupid and bigots.
Honestly, when it comes to abortion, while I also don’t think the fetus or embryo is a person, I just don’t care if it is or not. Because even if it is a person, it doesn’t have a right to make use of another person’s body, and that other person has a right to refuse it that use. This would apply to any person, and so even if that thing is a person, abortion should still be legal.
@@princesssparkle529 It doesn’t matter though. No one gets to use your body without your consent. Period. Please, don’t disagree with this. That’s not fair to you.
@@princesssparkle529 that doesn’t matter. If someone had a need to use someone else’s body, or an organ of it, for whatever reason, even if it were this second person’s fault, they have no right to it, and the other person doesn’t have an obligation to provide their body for use.
Kinda hate Jubilee tbh; their middle ground nonsense way too often tries to force a middle ground between decent people and actual proper nazis. We don't need a middle ground between pro and anti choice people, or between women and misogynists. They don't seem to get that sometimes one side is unambiguously in the right.
@@Person-wv5on I disagree that the original comment made that comparison, but, why would it be bad? Fighting to deny women the right to make decisions about their own bodies seems like an extremely fascist thing to do.
@404 NameNotFound Yes I agree its wrong but anti abortion people in their eyes are trying to protect life the opposite of Nazis also I think comparing anyone to those people is extremely wrong unless they act very similar to those people. I feel that people have watered down the holocaust by compare average people to those horrible human beings
I was sexually abused at age 14, no one in my personal life knows about it. I didn't even realize for a few years, because it wasn't in person and my parents just kind of blamed me and then I felt like it wasn't really traumatic (it definitely was). I'm 22 now and I feel like I'm probably never telling that to anyone in my personal life. I also have ptsd, but not only because of that, there were many other things, my childhood was not good.
I’m so incredibly sorry to hear about this! I was sexually abused as well between ages 16-17 and it took place over both online and in-person. I was in an incredibly low place mentally so I guess I was just an easy target. My mom found out some of it and proceeded to punish and blame me despite the fact that I was a minor at the time. As much as I love her as well, she would also downplay a lot of traumatic events that happened in my life and say that I was overreacting and looking for attention. I then proceeded to shove everything down and try to convince everyone, including myself, that there was nothing wrong with me. Come to find out approaching my 19th that I had BPD. Now I’m working on bettering myself and deconstructing everything I feel your pain in this. I just wanted to let you know that you aren’t alone and that we believe you 💙
@@nia2088 I guess I'm often downplaying it, or think that other people had it worse, so why even say it, when it's already been 8 years. Or sometimes I just blame myself, deep inside. Which I know doesn't make any sense, I wouldn't blame anyone else.
15:00 I am a 16 year old girl, never been catcalled and I am so grateful for it, but I understand why some people feel that if they don't get catcalled they aren't beautiful. First of all, appearance shouldn't be your top priority, bc it will always just make you feel worse about yourself, even if you fit the beauty standards perfectly, bc there will always be something to be self-concious about. Second of all, the ppl who catcall young girls don't really care about your appearance, they just see a young girl, and , no matter how they look, will harass them. So if you've never been catcalled, that's just very very good luck, nothing is wrong with you. So yeah, you shouldn't worry about deranged middle-aged men not catcalling you.
Man, when I was about your age, I technically knew that catcalling wasn't a good thing, but I still felt inadequate, not pretty enough, don't woman enough, because it didn't happen to me. I've been able to overcome this through a combination of being more confident in myself now, and actually having men catcall me and realizing that it's awful. I know people who still struggle with this line of thinking though, even people who don't want to present feminine. It's really fucked up that misogyny can lead you to believe that you're not good enough to harass or abuse.
One thing I know about predators is that they pick their victims very carefully. Most often the people that are preyed upon appeared weak or scared, and the predators just love to prey on meek-looking people. It’s honestly disgusting. My mom told me that, as an adult, if I ever feel scared walking to my car at night to put my keys between my fingers as a weapon and to walk purposefully and look angry. Sadly, this works because the most scared looking people are the ones that predators look for/seek out. Not saying this “technique” will always 100% work, and not saying that if you seem scared you will 100% be victimized, but I wanted to share this info bc it could help someone. Good luck ❤
Thank you for speaking out about the stalker case. I had a similar thing happen to me here in Finland as a minor. The police mishandled my case files to my family members who I had no contact with whatsoever. I was never offered any counceling and I was retraumatised by the sleugh of calls pouring in of family members screaming and slutshaming me, a 13 year old tween.
18:20 This really resonated with me. I haven't been cat-called (at least that I'm aware of) before, and as much as I know that it's bad, hear women talking about how much they hate it and that for men it's a power play to make those women feel uncomfortable, there's a small toxic part of me that can't help but think "Okay, but why haven't I been cat-called? Am I not desirable enough to be cat-called?" Which is an AWFUL thing to think, but when society conditions you so harshly that you must be desirable (or more accurately, you're going to be desired whether you want to or not), when it doesn't happen you can't help but think something's wrong with you.
I'm in the same boat as you. I've been insecure about my body for a long while now and I have never been catcalled. obviously I'm glad I haven't because it sounds terrible but there is also the voice in the back of my head that says the reason I haven't is because I'm not attractive enough to be catcalled. its a terrible thing to think, especially because so many girls and women have to deal with it and it sucks but its not really something i can control
If anyone hasn't already and it's not triggering to them, I highly recommend watching the video on this channel of savannah going through her abusive relationship that she went through in her teens. It's the kind of thing I think everyone (especially boys/men) should watch as it's something I had little to no comprehension of, and it genuinely kinda shocked me.
I wish I didn't have to drop all my Patreon pledges last month. Buying a house has lots of hidden expenses lol hopefully I'll be able to afford them again someday.
2:09 What I’ve learned is that the people with the better argument are somehow not given the brief to prepare whereas the Conservatives have brilliant lying skills and a good but unreliable memory.
Another part to it is often, especially in like trans vs conservatives videos, the lefties in question have trauma associated with the questions and have an emotional response while the conservatives could not care less and remain calm when spouting off their nonsense
Forgive me, I'm confused by what you mean by "...a good but unreliable memory.". Could you elaborate please? I seem to see it as a package deal, as to say that a memory can only be good IF it's reliable, and vice versa. Could you be referring to a selective memory, or something else entirely?
This was kind of nice to see when discussing all the sexual assault and the feelings around it as well as the system and how it deals with it. I'm slowly unpacking my own sexual trauma and learning to accept it with basically no memory of it and all the signs of the trauma being normalized as "oh that's just cause of this or that." It just feels so nice to have my thoughts flat out said in a clearer way than I could ever describe (partly cause I'm autistic and partly cause I'm traumatized.) Like, all of my friends have been harassed/assaulted in some way, including my girlfriend. And now I'm learning I was never the one without it, it was just so deeply ingrained in me as well as having no memory of it aside from emotional triggers and emotional flashbacks and nightmares. And having the thoughts voiced in a clear way is just like refreshing. But even aside from all that, you really just helped reiterate a lot of what I was already thinking with a lot of these prompts. Also the Cancelling men is necessary for progress and the future isn't female prompts are so confusing to my autistic brain. They're so broad and bland like, how am I supposed to interpret this? I just read those and cannot understand how I'm supposed to form coherent thoughts on a specific thing about them. The rest, sure I can manage it. But those two just confused me until I saw how other people interpreted them. Also for abortion is murder. It isn't, but even if it was, if I got pregnant, I'd either get an abortion or probably take my life. So either way if I was pregnant, there would be death. I'm far too mentally unstable and disgusted by pregnancy to handle being pregnant if I even could get pregnant. I always respect anyone that wanted to get pregnant and have kids even if it was a surrogate thing because holy hell I could not do that, it disgusts me so much and I could never, honestly.
The imbalance of power in the workplace makes the idea of 'using sexuality for gain,' somewhat dubious. I think there are situations where people convince themselves they have power while being victimized, particularly after the fact. Often times in the workplace the perpetrator may give something (promotion/ financial compensation) to encourage the victim's silence and create reasonable doubt.
i just watched jubilee's trans women vs conservative women middle ground reason, i knew it would be bad but it exceeded my expectations because oh god, it was bad bad. I can't even put it to words other than bad. Most people are barely educated on the topics that they're talking about and at this point jubilee isn't making people more aware of the issues it keeps on talking about, it just keep saying the same thing again and again
I’ve never been catcalled before and it’s always been a weird thing. Cause on one hand I don’t want to be catcalled but it makes me feel like there is something wrong with me to not have ever been catcalled.
I'm aroace and trans and definitely have slut shamed in the past because I couldn't understand why people would willingly have sex when the mere thought of subjecting myself to it induced dysphoria and disgust in me. This was also the 90s and early 2000s where young popstars would all undergo a hypersexual image shift once they became of age to ditch the innocent child star image, and my mom was massively pressuring me to start dating because nobody had an idea that aroace people (or transmasc people, for that matter) were a thing. Eventually, human sexuality became sort of a special interest because my neurodivergent brain obsesses over things it struggles to understand. Nowadays I am very sex-positive, support sex work and kink, but still don't participate in it myself besides solo campaigns.
In 2018, French lawmakers have voted to outlaw street sexual harassment as part of tighter legislation on sexual misconduct, including catcalling. Catcalling on streets and public transportation can result in on-the-spot fines of up to €750, with more for increasingly aggressive and physical behavior.
At 14:57! I’m so happy I’ve heard someone talk about this. Throughout the last year ish I’ve realized that I feel offended when people get catcalled and I don’t, despite the fact that I do not want to be and I do not wish that they were either. I’m really happy you talked about this, because it is a double edged sword and I’ve tried to talk to people about this & haven’t gotten anyone who feels the same. I was like, it’s still an effect of the patriarchy to feel inadequate when you are not hypersexualized when you are told your whole life that male attention is what determines your worth. Of course, I’m not saying I want to be catcalled or people should be thankful because they’re getting unwanted attention, but that’s been such an interesting dissection of my own internalized misogyny that I’ve been working through. And I’m happy to hear someone say something I’ve felt but haven’t been like validated for (validating my experience of having the emotion, not that it’s a good reaction to have). It is also weird for me considering I literally have experienced unwanted attention and did not enjoy it! As I said, I’m working through these feelings and trying to dissect the reactions, but for others who have felt this way, it’s really weird and confusing but you’re not alone.
I don’t normally comment, just want to say how sorry I am for the abuse you endured, we’re thinking of you, take good care after a heavy video like that, anything you are feeling is valid
There was this account about someone who had an abortion and their trauma that came with it. They were bullied offline for about 6 months because they were "painting abortion in a bad light". It's very true that we don't talk about the negative aspects of abortion enough to the point where someone's talking about their own trauma and experiences with it, they're a "bad person"
Good video, but I (mostly) disagree with your take on using sexuality for personal gain. I take no issue with sex work, but using it to get a promotion (an example you used) is nepotistic and enables the kinds of gross men who are open to this sort of thing. It goes against nearly every ethical standard in place at any halfway decent workplace. Freely expressing one’s sexuality is empowerment, but engaging in nepotism is not. And I want to clarify, it’s not the sex bit I take issue with; it’s the nepotism. If someone works at a law firm, and gets a promotion because they did magic tricks at their boss’s son’s birthday, that’s just as bad.
i do agree with you. it’s this blurry line of like , i don’t think that should be an option. i don’t think men who would give promotions in exchange for sex should be in those positions of power. however they are, and it’s the thing that they’re going to be unfair about it regardless because they’re bad people. it’s about taking advantage of that situation. just as familial nepotism is unfair, but you can’t exactly fault people for taking advantage of it.
Hey kiwi, about that one patron named Euclid System, the "Euclid" is pronounced "Yooklid". It's from a creative writing project and a unique name but yeah it is a tricky one to pronounce! I just hate hearing the uncertainty and effort when you read off the names :)
As a virgin man in my 30s I was shocked that some women were 'hypersexual' because they were coping from being assaulted in childhood. Hopefully they found a help group and process what they went through and not feel guilty regarding their sexuality
Oh hek I’m a hour early I feel like one nice jubilee video I saw was the autism spectrum one where I saw autistic people like me show different perspectives on their diagnosis. It goes with a title like "do all autistic people think the same" which I mean is obviously a hard no, but I guess the question is probably meant for people who genuinely consider that idea? But why would anyone- I don’t like when they make middle ground videos where they put bigoted people on one side and the target of said bigotry on the other. Jubilee works best when they don’t entertain hateful ideas.
when it comes to hypersexuality. even if it's not related to trauma, hypersexuality should be respected. i don't really have any trauma related to it (besides being trans) but i'm also hypersexual. i have on many occasions been shamed for it despite it just being caused by my absurdly high libido. like i'm in the stage of the transition where basically everyone has a drop in libido.... i didn't have any kind of decrease.
Feminist here: 100% honesty! I just want to be treated with genuine respect that’s equal to men’s. I also want to be seen for my skills, not gender. I also want to be able to walk in a public place without being afraid of being murdered. Another note: trans men are cool! Finally, men, you are just as important as women, just in different ways, and any abuse you suffer is completely valid and should not be swept under the rug. We all need each other in this life, so let’s not try to one up each other on everything.
Man here and I support women's and men's and people's rights. I just want modern feminsts to stop the clear misandry, man blaming and man hatred. Stop grooming data that speak about a small percentage of men. Stop saying "masculinity is toxic". Stop saying " world is better without men" Stop writing articles on mainstream media like the independent"If you dont believe in misandry you dont believe in equality for women". Feminism is about equility? Reallly? why does it not talk about mens rights ? Equal pay in sports ok what about equal pay for male models. Data on how many women r*pe men? In the UK this is not even in the penal system. Equality sure? How about conscription? Equality should be accross the board not just for one gender. Any movement that only protects one sex is not about equality. Anyway I know you and your fellow feminists will not even listen or acknowledge anything I said but proceed with the hateful comments and buzz words but men are hated constantly, no news on the male suicide rates. Modern feminsm is about superiority and only of 1 type of woman. Read on factual feminst and other veteran feminsts what they say about present day.
Oh, it works. The question is, for whom does it work? For us? No. For the owner class, who want to mask the symptoms of capitalism, such as poverty, unemployment, homelessness, and employs tracking agents who anticipate which kids will end up in the prison-industrial complex, thus contributing to the actual school-to-prison pipeline? The same class that wants to exploit labour even more cheaply and so do deals with the state-owned prisons, the same class who profit from an every-expanding private prison system? Here in Australia, at least 25% of inmates are in private prisons. The owner class? They benefit, remember that the outcome of the system is the point of it, so if an outcome is being repeated, be very wary and skeptical when they say "Oh, we're still making mistakes." No, they are not making mistakes. It tends not only to be cheaper, but more profitable, to jail people rather than help them, to fund a cop army rather than fund community supports.
Playing devils advocate as a few weeks ago I met someone whos BFF game-overed themself because a girl lied about s assault. Shitty people lie for revenge and span all genders, folks saying its for attention is either dealing with a guilty conscience, are disingenuous, or are bad at putting the reality into words. I understand that as a victim, its hard to shake the bias, but hearing that kid's story really punched me in the gut. (i may have misunderstood your stance but yea)
@wynn1587 youre probably right, i was still shaken by this kid's trauma dump when i initially made the comment. Pretty sure my own experience is also that of the adults that knew anything shoving an assault under a rug (the memory isnt clear enough to know exacts tho)
NAH YOU ARE SO REAL FOR LISTENING 3RACHS LIKE THAT, CHAN BE HITTING IN IT (idk if i have a knack for noticing growls, but han growls in his rap and lord 😭)
@@transsexual_computer_faery its a stray kids song sung by three members ('three'racha / 3racha) thats titled after the rap unit, 3racha. kiwi here, has listened to it a lot which is really relatable because its a good song- i am also a stray kids fan haha
CW// talk of sexual abuse, child abuse, kinks, and sexual activity . . I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to boost up the conversation about SA resulting in hypersexuality. A lot of people who have not experienced trauma do not understand this. When you've endured a traumatic situation, one way that the brain may choose to cope with this is by "recreating" the event under similar circumstances, but ones which allow you to maintain control and give a more satisfying ending where you feel secure, safe, and without fear (because even if it evolved into a noncon kink, you still have safe words and trust your sex partner). Imma lose some people here because it's unjustifiably controversial, but this is a common thing for child abuse victims too. A lot of victims of child abuse are into ageplay. Which is often quickly brushed off as pedophilia, even when explored in non-sexual ways. When in reality, the person roleplaying the child usually endured severe trauma and wants to relive their childhood, but with a caretaker who will love them, nurture them, and treat them the way that they deserved to be treated at such a young and vulnerable age. They're taking all the things they WISH were available to them during the traumatic event (control, consent, safety, security, etc) and effectively recreating their trauma with all those options available to them. In the arms of someone they love and trust.
Honestly, I’m so happy that catcalling came up as a topic. I always thought that I was weird for being upset that I’m not cat called like women always describe. I think there’s some underlying trauma that works with the craving to be seen and thought of as attractive for me personally. But I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who feels this way.
I support sex work, but I don't think sexually manipulating others for personal gain is somehow always necessarily a good thing. I mean, that's what "pick up artists" do, and I don't think it's right when they do it. I guess it comes down to a combination of intention, honesty, and some other factors. I don't believe any level of personal suffering can justify taking advantage of someone else in any way, though, so I definitely don't agree with the "might as well" sentiment. Of course, I just want people to be more open and honest in general when it comes to sexuality. I've never understood people who are automatically disgusted by the mere notion of people being attracted to you, so maybe there's something I'm just not understanding.
legit question, is slut-shaming just bullying girls for being hypersexual/promiscuous? i don't think i've ever done it, but i wanna establish a definition before asserting that
I'm pretty sure that's what it is. I can't think of a better way to describe it tbh. Girls/women having control of their bodies and being as sexually active as men are encouraged to do are usually shamed for it.
the girls targeted by it don't even actually have to be hypersexual or promiscuous. Part of slut shaming is that you can just do it to girls and women for any abitrary reason - the way she dresses, or if she didn't pick you to be on her dodgeball team, literally for anything. it doesn't even have to be true that she is hypersexual or promiscuous for the social stigma to be directed at her after the accusation.
@@jaymarcotte947 Very true too. Apparently the more a girl sleeps around the less she deserves respect. Some people really think like this and it's extremely dangerous. So by slut shaming people think it's then okay to no longer treat her as well...a person and rather a sex object to be harassed. Seen it happen way too many times.
It's also important to understand that, becoming hypersexual after trauma, that it IS a reaction to the trauma...it's hard to arm yourself properly as a teenaged survivor, for example, to be safe and healthy, when you don't know it's a reaction, and you don't even understand you were traumatized.
absolutely, people imagine that all SA survivors just become shy and start wearing large and covering clothes and never have sex again, but the truth is that sexual trauma can result in a wide range of deregulated behaviors and especially children wouldn't understand what to make of it.
The thing is: I hate when people say "it ruins the life thay never will find a job". Well thay should, nobody should work with them ever. Also thay ruined thair life themself.
*TW: LIGHT SA TALK* 9:47 on the point of being hyper sexual, I was like that for a long time (and sometimes still am) due to SA trauma from when I was really young. I was a kid wearing revealing clothing in middle school, and got so many dress codes in my first couple of years of high school that I was constantly in in school suspension periods. I had never participated in anything remotely sexual (not even a kiss) for the longest time, but was still slut shamed for it, even by my boyfriend at the time. I tried seeking validation from my body and nothing else. I’ve gotten better with therapy and time , but I want more people to understand that stuff like this is pretty common. Instead of shaming or pushing your views onto this person, (if you’re kind of close to them) help them. And if it’s not your place to find help for them, just be mindful and understand that how this person dresses is none of your business instead. Thanks for reading ❤️
it's funny that they say "if feminists were honest," and then ask questions that are vague and misleading on purpose, and then STILL get very feminist explanations to said questions. IDK why they even uploaded the video after getting those answers.
Girl has to describe their trauma for two hours in a completely clinical manner, boy gets off because he cried. Something something women are more emotional I guess.
I have sexual trauma and I have become hypersexual, not by choice but it’s more of a thing my body just did, as well as getting an addiction relating to it to cope.
I love listening to your videos and learning from you. Thanks so much for putting in tons of work for these daily uploads the next couple weeks I can’t wait to hear each one!
The first one, I feel like we’ve all fell for “what was she wearing” at some point in our lives. When its like people should be able to walk around naked without even being touched unwantedly.
Thought I'd answer along with you in solidarity, another brave soul willing to answer and show their face... 1. OMG ohhhhh I have and did. A lot as a young tween teen especially. Not gonna lie, there's still an aspect to slutshame in my believe system and I'm not really ashamed of that. I think shame is not always a bad thing. And yes I dole some of that shame out to men. So I guess the positive change I made was to apply my logic to all genders. I was always pretty nuanced with it though, and always fought against some more extreme and unfair stuff 2. I never have used my sexuality for personal gain. However, I think as a beautiful young woman there's always gonna be some element of your sexuality that advantages you even if you are not intentionally or actively trying to. However I don't really have an issue with it. Now, tied back to number 1, if you're gonna be a h03, never be a stupid h03, always make sure YOU benefit. See? I told you that shamey thoughts or language are proudly built into my current beliefs and ideals 😉 3. I agree actually. If you're speaking about victims of SA/R then you should give support and understanding and Believe... but not blindly. As in, believe but verify. But there certainly have been many cases historically or presently where women have lied over and over and over and we just destroy the next poor innocent dude on her say so, like her say so is judge jury and executioner. 4. As it's written, very much sounds like a blanket statement, which is ridiculous 🙄 Sorry but as a slippery slope, I don't believe in silencing free speech even if I disagree with or am disgusted by your words. In fact 99.9% of cancel culture I find absolutely repulsive and stupid...ngl 5. Abortion is not murder and its ridiculous to suggest it is. That's as idiotic as stating that miscarriage is murder. Regardless of how you wanna phrase it, abortion is as old as Bible times. At least. So I don't really care how anybody else views it, it's happening to and in a particular woman's body and its nobody's business but her own if she wants to be an incubator for 9 months or not. 6. Anybody who really thinks the future is female is just proving that for them feminism is really about female supremacy, not human equality and equity. Great video I enjoyed this answer along activity lmfaooooo 😅
Yes, just got to the "not all women should be believed" like, that's a generalisation designed to start a movement. The people who say "believe all women" are not saying women are infallible Fae incapable of lying. So when you ask that question your insinuating people take that phrase literally, which isn't the case. I absolutely agree #believeallwomen, but I'm not entering a shady alleyway because a woman said "hey, come here, there's no one gonna rob you". Like yeah, in the grand history of the world, someone will have lied about an SA allegation, but that's so unbelievably rare compared to a woman being SA'd that it's dumb to assume on the off.
I do think it’s interesting how people read statements differently. A while ago I mentioned on my Instagram story that I don’t like people calling my abortion silly nicknames (fetus deletus was a main one), and I said it’s a serious topic. Someone replied and was like “I agree! It’s so serious, it’s getting rid of a baby! It’s tragic!” And oh boy I’m so surprised I didn’t throw hands when I saw him next.
I think you can recognize catcalling as common and even judge your appearance by it to an extent without seeing it as an okay thing for people to do. Like, "Why hasn't any creepy guy sexualized me against my will? Am I not sexually attractive enough for that?" It's not super healthy to get your self esteem from external sources (not saying I don't), but that's a really bad external source to base it on, even though it does happen sometimes.
I love things like this! The questions, not the vid. Enlightened Centrism is cringe. 6. Probably, but I can't think of a specific example. 5. I am a not-good-looking baby transfemme, so no. But, like, nothing wrong with being sex-positive. 4. They should be believed as much as anyone else about any other thing. It's not _terribly_ common for someone to falsely report victimization. Re: SA, I believe actual SAs outnumber false accusations. 3. Certain men, yes. Entire political movements of them, even. 2. No. I reject the first half of the conjunction. 1. Feminism isn't about being female. However, a feminist future is a fairer future than the alternative.
21:58 i fully agree. i'm currently considering wether i'm going to bring the person who assulted me to court or go through the mediation procsess. (there has been a criminal charge, so i cant choose to ignore it.) i feel like both options are going to be much more traumatizing for me than it will affect him.
I'm going to be having to try to make a report thing against my ex for everything he's done to me soon I already know nothing's going to happen sense he's guilted me into consenting and it all happened online and I don't even have a screenshots because of the fact that he forced me to leave those chats through guilt he made me scared to speak up and the church made me scared to speak up because they just blame the victim All this for free therapy I'm not even sure if I'm going to be able to get just because I want to break the stupid cycle he forced me into Also hypersexualities a b**** I've been dealing with it lately and I hate it so much especially sense everyone in the art and animation Community seems to get on to you for drawing anything sexual I know I'm a minor but I'm 16 and it's not even porn itd just extremely buff furry dudes in tight suits because if my real person body is going to be so incredibly sexualized I'm going to sexualize fictional men i made up Im sorry for ranting has been plaguing my life for months and it got worse after I found out my ex is still making videos

i agree with your second point, i hate the animation community a lot for "cancelling" minors(13-16) for either drawing nsfw of their own sona or nsfw in general of adult characters or even characters around their age like fr there are some RESPECTED commentators of the animation community who justify it as "ah minors shouldn't draw nsfw because it can attract creeps/groomerz" I can understand that, BUT SERIOUSLY?? Now minors can't explore their sexuality because of actions that aren't even their fault? seems like victim blaming to me there should 1000% exist a safe space for minors to be able to experiment with their sexuality, like many do through art this idea of "you can't draw sexual things because you're a minor" is stupid and only contributes to the feeling that many minors have (myself included) that feeling this is wrong and disgusting
The find out the "who's not high" video sounds interesting, depending on how it is done. I had an entire "argument/debate" (Not actually fighting) with a friend about why or why not it is important to know the scientific genes and mutations responsible for a wolf becoming a pug with a squish-nose. He was high, I was not--I'm just very neurodivergent. lol--it was great.
I really like that the women who answered these questions actually had a different thought process to kiwi and got her to think about the questions in another context. it was really interesting.

Book recommendation! Speaking of sending inappropriate pictures and girls getting blamed if you wanna read a good romance/adventure book that deals with the trauma and aftermath of such happenings I recommend Love and Luck by Jenna Evans Welch! The book goes into depth about her fears and regrets while helping her heal through the heartbreak of a manipulative relationship, and repairing family bonds. It's a super good book and I've read it four times now, which is rare for me. I don't normally like to reread books, but this one was so amazing I couldn't help myself
anyone ever notice she always laughs at the end of all her videos? like its not part of the script she just cant blow kisses without laughing but i mean. it is cute tho lol
Nice video like always. I have just one question, when talking about slut shaming, do they mean shaming someone (especially women) for having sexual encounters or can it also be calling someone a "bitch" ? Just using it as a slur but not thinking it is wrong for them to sleep with people.
If I were to opt out of coming forward, it would be, because nothing would come of it. Oooh the person gets locked behind bars for a few years. Big deal. Justice doesn’t exist, it’s imaginary.
Remember when jubilee did a "middle ground" with trans people and transphobes and it ended up just being the transphobes verbaly assaulting the other side? Very valueble conversation definetly (I think they called the transphobes "traditional gender")
“Don’t believe all women” really depends on like, what is meant by that, because like, I don’t think it’s safe to just assume no woman would ever lie about that kind of thing, I think there are in fact times where they do, in fact I can think of a couple cases where it was definitively proven they were lying. I just don’t think it’s ever safe to assume that they are lying. Because most people have no reason to do that. Most people understand how serious of an accusation that is, how awful and disrespectful it is not just to the innocent person they’re accusing but also to the people telling the truth, and most people know that the they’re not going to get a fun healthy positive kind of attention from it. Like I’m never going to accuse someone of lying when I wasn’t there, but I’m also not going to testify against someone over what to me is just a claim without any direct evidence or firsthand knowledge. Amy ideology is more “take them all seriously” because even if I don’t always immediately assume someone is guilty because of lies I’ve witnessed before, that doesn’t mean it’s safe or logical to assume any other situation is a lie.
1. I have slut shamed someone Thankfully I can say I haven't, I have shamed people for cheating or manipulating others into sex (usually my brother) or even lying and interfering with everyone else's day so they could sleep with someone, but not because they were actually sleeping with someone, usually just the actions surrounding it. 2. I have used my sexuality for personal gain I have not. 3. Not all women should be believed I agree with that, not all women should be believed, but rather all victims should be taken seriously regardless of sex or gender of either them or their assaulter. 4. Cancelling men is necessary for progress No, calling out misogyny and misandry and patriarchal support is necessary for progress, we can't let bad ideas exist without substantive and widespread critique. 5. Abortion is murder and I still support it. Yes, because it doesn't matter how anyone personally feels about it. Abortion is important and it's up to the individual pregnant what they want to do with the fetus. Restrictions on abortion is also murder, I'd rather a fetus be murdered than a fully formed, living, breathing adult. 6. The future isn't female Clearly not and that's never meant literally, it means that women are taking back their own futures and currently they're losing the options to.
I met a girl who lied about being SA’d by literally everyone she’d ever been with and it got her pity and attention, and the guys she accused were shunned by all of their friends and one had to move schools.. when it comes to celebrities and media, I definitely agree that people often don’t get more than a slap on the wrist, but I feel like it can also ruin people’s lives :(
I hate how all the statements were so generalizing of incredibly complex issues. At least they give the women a chance to explain why they agreed or disagreed but it feels like they’re intentionally trying to make it sound bad for them to agree with the statements because of how simple they were.
Damn, I'm so glad i decided to watch what came after the tw. I knew that it's common to develop either a repulsion towards sex or the exact opposite in response to sexual a**se. But i was still not beyond thinking that being hypersexual is somehow the wrong reaction while repulsion to sex is the healthy reaction. Hearing you say how hypetsexuality does make sense as a coping mechanism and how it is valid and i actually started to really feel that I'm not a "slut" and that me being hypersexual is just as invalid as other women's sex repulsion and it also doesn't have to be a problem. Thank you
The entire court process of coming forward IS SO TRAUMATIZING like u said!
Them glaring at me, putting on their best well behaved citizen look (and its convincing, as always)
In the courtroom.
They know how to play the act and u trusted then
The court system puts victims in danger pretty often. Telling someone that u r speaking up and then not protecting u is horrific. Like they want it to escalate.
I always say report things but they dont warn u how terrifying it is. U should report but make sure u have a support network and healthy coping mechanism
THIS.
If feminists were 100% honest, they would all be having sex with me
Yeah, I had no idea until my parents told me why my sister decided not to prosecute. She has PTSD and the guy who abused her is completely fine. It's horrible
@@EvanNeedsTherapy sources: trust me bro
kinda disagree about the having sex with your boss for a promotion part - i think that it pressures people into sex due to the power dynamic between boss and employee. i see that as being exploited rather than using your sexuality for your benefit; it's not something i'd blame the employee for, however. idk
true, some people might just really need a promotion to survive and the boss could take advantage of that
No you’re absolutely right. At least in the US where I’m from, those kinds of relationships are a big no no in HR and can be a lawful reason for termination for the employer
Exactly. Another example of that would be a college professor and their adult student instead of a boss and employee.
Yes!! So much this!
@@Itri_Vega "so deep in my closet i could say hi to the king of narnia" I absolutely love that
But then the general public would be more aware of things, and that could make them harder to manipulate for control.
Feminists can't do math.
Dumbest comment I have seen
Its different though because social debates aren't mathematical problems. I do agree that when it comes to human rights there shouldnt be a "middle ground". But people are gonna be stupid and bigots.
Honestly, when it comes to abortion, while I also don’t think the fetus or embryo is a person, I just don’t care if it is or not. Because even if it is a person, it doesn’t have a right to make use of another person’s body, and that other person has a right to refuse it that use. This would apply to any person, and so even if that thing is a person, abortion should still be legal.
...What
I um ahem honestly dont think the baby rlly chooses to break into bodies.

Now I’m working on bettering myself and deconstructing everything
I feel your pain in this.
You are a smart 16 y o. Keep growing.
On one of conservatives vs progressive. They literally brought like ceos of conservative think tanks.
@@christiantabares6713 I’m guessing unreliable means they remember things that are false but good as in they remember their false narrative well
This was kind of nice to see when discussing all the sexual assault and the feelings around it as well as the system and how it deals with it.

I love the way you say “fucked up”. You’re really mad about it but also seem like you don’t want your parents to overhear you saying a bad word

I can't even put it to words other than bad.

Notice how every feminist have all been abused😂😂😂😂
Or, if it makes it even easier, "You klid" like "you kid" but there's an L in there
As a virgin man in my 30s I was shocked that some women were 'hypersexual' because they were coping from being assaulted in childhood. Hopefully they found a help group and process what they went through and not feel guilty regarding their sexuality
Oh hek I’m a hour early
I feel like one nice jubilee video I saw was the autism spectrum one where I saw autistic people like me show different perspectives on their diagnosis. It goes with a title like "do all autistic people think the same" which I mean is obviously a hard no, but I guess the question is probably meant for people who genuinely consider that idea? But why would anyone-
I don’t like when they make middle ground videos where they put bigoted people on one side and the target of said bigotry on the other.
It’s a ‘Jubilee’ Celebration kind of day! Also, love the daily programming. 👏🏽
I have only been cat called as a minor which is super gross 🤢
Like half of these questions I immediately said “but what does that even mean?!?!”
literally 😭 they’re not clear at all
20:43 why do we always lean toward uplifting the “justice” system and imprisonment as a “solution” as if that ever works?
Somehow 3RACHA was my 2nd most listened to song on Spotify. I can’t believe it wasn’t number one
Tbh I used to cry because I wasn’t cat called and my friends were. That’s so warped. I get it all the time now and I hate it with a passion
NAH YOU ARE SO REAL FOR LISTENING 3RACHS LIKE THAT, CHAN BE HITTING IN IT (idk if i have a knack for noticing growls, but han growls in his rap and lord 😭)
what
@@transsexual_computer_faery its a stray kids song sung by three members ('three'racha / 3racha) thats titled after the rap unit, 3racha. kiwi here, has listened to it a lot which is really relatable because its a good song- i am also a stray kids fan haha
listening to 3racha on repeat is a valid reason for filming late
CW// talk of sexual abuse, child abuse, kinks, and sexual activity

In the arms of someone they love and trust.
truly admirable, i'm so sorry about what you went throught. you are so brave to even share a little of you life to us❤
Honestly, I’m so happy that catcalling came up as a topic.
I like when you do videos like this. It really shows your perspective and I really appreciate that.
Caught it 30 seconds after upload, whoa
I caught it five minutes after uploading
it's funny that they say "if feminists were honest," and then ask questions that are vague and misleading on purpose, and then STILL get very feminist explanations to said questions. IDK why they even uploaded the video after getting those answers.
Girl has to describe their trauma for two hours in a completely clinical manner, boy gets off because he cried. Something something women are more emotional I guess.
Ppl will call abortion murder but then be perfectly fine with putting an animal down if it bites someone
You're so brave for telling Your story, I hope whoever did that to you gets what he deserves, I love you so much, keep up being yourself.
I was always pretty nuanced with it though, and always fought against some more extreme and unfair stuff
See? I told you that shamey thoughts or language are proudly built into my current beliefs and ideals 😉
4. As it's written, very much sounds like a blanket statement, which is ridiculous 🙄
Sorry but as a slippery slope, I don't believe in silencing free speech even if I disagree with or am disgusted by your words. In fact 99.9% of cancel culture I find absolutely repulsive and stupid...ngl
I've paused at the screen of questions. Those are bad questions.
You and Jammi uploaded at the same time, so I'll be watching his video next!
Am I not sexually attractive enough for that?" It's not super healthy to get your self esteem from external sources (not saying I don't), but that's a really bad external source to base it on, even though it does happen sometimes.
okay but the cancelling men part, I totally see and felt the confusion, but also, I'm so down for both
9:19 Oh. I thought I was just kinky and addicted to reading smut.
Thank you so much for being so open and honest about such tough subjects. I always look forward to and appreciate your videos
I'm going to be having to try to make a report thing against my ex for everything he's done to me soon
I already know nothing's going to happen sense he's guilted me into consenting and it all happened online and I don't even have a screenshots because of the fact that he forced me to leave those chats through guilt he made me scared to speak up and the church made me scared to speak up because they just blame the victim
All this for free therapy I'm not even sure if I'm going to be able to get just because I want to break the stupid cycle he forced me into
Also hypersexualities a b**** I've been dealing with it lately and I hate it so much especially sense everyone in the art and animation Community seems to get on to you for drawing anything sexual I know I'm a minor but I'm 16 and it's not even porn itd just extremely buff furry dudes in tight suits because if my real person body is going to be so incredibly sexualized I'm going to sexualize fictional men i made up
Im sorry for ranting has been plaguing my life for months and it got worse after I found out my ex is still making videos
guilting is pressuring. pressuring someone into something sexual is rape.
@@pedrolopez8057 yes!
I dont know if it counts for me tho sense it was online and my brain likes to deny any trauma that happens to me
I was thankfuly safe from it happening irl due to the pandemic but he tried and im going to leave it there for that bit
i agree with your second point, i hate the animation community a lot for "cancelling" minors(13-16) for either drawing nsfw of their own sona or nsfw in general of adult characters or even characters around their age
like fr there are some RESPECTED commentators of the animation community who justify it as "ah minors shouldn't draw nsfw because it can attract creeps/groomerz" I can understand that, BUT SERIOUSLY?? Now minors can't explore their sexuality because of actions that aren't even their fault? seems like victim blaming to me
there should 1000% exist a safe space for minors to be able to experiment with their sexuality, like many do through art
this idea of "you can't draw sexual things because you're a minor" is stupid and only contributes to the feeling that many minors have (myself included) that feeling this is wrong and disgusting
@@bnuuuyy YES OH MY GOSH YES

bruh these jubilee questions are SO loaded
i actually hate it
and i hate how so many of their comments took the bait and think these feminists are terrible for answering to nonsensical tricky questions

I think sleeping with your boss to get a promotion is more a problem because it often involves the boss exploiting a power dynamic.
anyone ever notice she always laughs at the end of all her videos? like its not part of the script she just cant blow kisses without laughing but i mean. it is cute tho lol
Thank you for sharing your experiences and saying some things are valid. I needed to hear that but no one talks about it. Genuinely thank you
Lets goo! Daily upload grind is amazing
Nice video like always. I have just one question, when talking about slut shaming, do they mean shaming someone (especially women) for having sexual encounters or can it also be calling someone a "bitch" ? Just using it as a slur but not thinking it is wrong for them to sleep with people.
Slut shaming is the first, using as a slur is just general misogyny.
@@cridly Oh I understand, thank you

I think this video underscores the notion that feminism is a form of mental illness.
@@professorfoxtrot bro you made over 700 hate comments on this channel obsessed much? 😂

The thoughts of having a child and having an abortion scare me in equal amounts. I hope I'll never have to make that decision.
"...Sleep with your boss and get a promotion.."
Hmm yes, sounds reasonable
Remember when jubilee did a "middle ground" with trans people and transphobes and it ended up just being the transphobes verbaly assaulting the other side? Very valueble conversation definetly (I think they called the transphobes "traditional gender")
You been uploading every day and I'm living for it!
1. I have slut shamed someone
Thankfully I can say I haven't, I have shamed people for cheating or manipulating others into sex (usually my brother) or even lying and interfering with everyone else's day so they could sleep with someone, but not because they were actually sleeping with someone, usually just the actions surrounding it.
2. I have used my sexuality for personal gain
I have not.
3. Not all women should be believed
I agree with that, not all women should be believed, but rather all victims should be taken seriously regardless of sex or gender of either them or their assaulter.
4. Cancelling men is necessary for progress
No, calling out misogyny and misandry and patriarchal support is necessary for progress, we can't let bad ideas exist without substantive and widespread critique.
6. The future isn't female
Clearly not and that's never meant literally, it means that women are taking back their own futures and currently they're losing the options to.
“i got distracted and listened to 3racha 25 times on repeat”
the most normal stay /j
Thank you
