I have searched all over for this body and still can not find one. have you come across any at all?
@@stevie123p I haven't been looking tbh as I have my spare to do next so dont need one but guessing setting an alert on ebay if anyone lists one and calling every hobby shop is the only way and facebook axial groups also

Hey so I finally found a Unimog body. Paid $150 for it but when I found it I jumped on it. I am going to build it in honor of our local fire fighters who fought the Troublesome fires in Grand County (Grand Lake Colorado) I am going to ask them what they would put on the truck and then I will scan the tools and 3D print them.
Thanks again RC Adventurer for the idea and direction.
Also I plan to scan and 3D print a few of these UniMog 4 Door bodies so people can buy them for a fair price.
Excellent news well done such a shame they are soooo hard to get as they are excellent bodys and great idea to 3D print some as I am sure loads of people will want them. Hope the project goes well enjoy the process!

Perfection, I've always felt the unimog body was better looking than the G6, Traxxas I hope starts coming out with more body options for the TRX-6 like they did with the TRX-4. Great build. Looking forward to checking out the rest of your channel 😎🙏
Stunning just a tip for what it's worth. On one of my builds I took a small dog leash and made hoses out of it.
Yes totally agree a selection of bodies for the Trx6 would be great as the chassis is awesome and thanks for the tip will check that out. I also wanted stacks for it not sure if that would look ok but love trucks with stacks haha 😁👍👍👍

Yes stacks would look cool I made mine out of aluminum and braze them together very light weight look good.

Beautiful build, congratulations! The micron tape was new to me. Does it hold well in case of a flip over?
Yes its fine sticks really well and worst case if you get a bad snagging bush or something you can easily just replace one tiny bit but rarely happens as its in the body line grooves anyway cheers👍👍

Nice transformation using a cool and capable chassis. I like my TRX-6 too but want to change the body of it also. But not to an UNIMOG. BTW, there's somekind of a fun-fact with your license plate. If you do not read it as "MOG 1" but as "MOG I" ("I" not pronounced as the first singular person but as "E", for the English mothertongues), then it would be bavarian dialect for "I like it" (Mog i -> Mag ich).

I am not sure what other body's fit the trx6 to choose from so if you find any let me know as its always nice to have a couple of different ones o swap and cheaper than buying more rcs that's for sure 😀😀
Awesome job, thoroughly enjoyed. Before I got my 6x6 worminator chassis, this was what i wanted to do. Take the better chassis from Traxxas and the nicer Unimog body and make the best 6x6. I guess you bought the trx 6 and got rid of the body and then just bought the unimog body separate? Be nice if Traxxas would sell just the 6x6 chassis. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for checking it out yes I sold the white Merc 6x6 body on Ebay and bought a clear one 1st and build this - ruclips.net/video/5FAphHc3CtA/видео.html still got more to add to that body then decided I want the Unimog looks so cool so had a go and yes the 6x6 chassis is amazing with the upgraded motor I put in makes it sooooo smooth and slow control I love it and bought another clear unimog body to do a different style one 👍👍👍👍

@@rcadventurer Man if you have a link were I can get one can you share it? Axial discontinued the 6x6 and screwed all there customers rather than fixing the drive trail problem, It is a good rig after you add my shims I make to the axials but I want a spare body for the future. I have seen a lot of the two door ones but not the 4 door.
@@SteadfastRC I am in the UK and on google the Rc online shops selling are wheelspinmodels, makeitbuildit, and lots on Ebay too doesn't seem to be a prob at all 👍👍

Thanks very much, tape is great I have used it on several even after going in water still ok its really sticky and if any bits ever get scratched off on the trail so easy to just cut a bit to replace a little section anyway prefer it to using a pen tbh, Happy crawling dude👍👍👍

Thanks very much, to be honest I bought it for a build ages ago (2-3 years) from Ebay then never used it so cant remember the exact one it was from China and the seller is not listed but there are lots of similar ones available on Ebay that fit the TRX4 chassis 👍👍

Amazing work! quick question I have a UMG10 body and I want to attach it to the my trx6 chassis, I was wondering how did you hold the body on the front? what kind of methos did you used?

Thanks for checking it out you can zip tie the rear although it slots in place securely without anything to be honest and the front is held by strong velcro along the side running boards attaching to the body along the same side piece holds it really well even rolled over and didn't come apart but might if it was a proper crash but does the job no body pins or magnets this time 👍👍

Hi This was the last comment I had from someone seems hard to get now - yeah I tried axials site after watching this video and nothing 😭 the only unimog body I've been able to find is from Tamiya but even it's difficult to come by because everyone is out of stock. - Good luck for the search seems hard to get now shame :(
@RcAdventurer Thanks for getting back and trying to help me out 👍🏼, I did a little research and found out that apparently after Horizon purchased Axial ,I guess Axial didn't leave or give Horizon the rights to the Unimog Body/truck etc so in turn Horizon had to discontinue it completely, Hence the reason we no longer can find them anywhere. I think it's kinda ridiculous they couldn't work something out especially considering all the people who have purchased this truck in the past, I found a few odds and ends available links ,mounts etc but that's about it ...again Thanks for your help

How do you connect the lights with the fusion combo?
The lights are connected to the receiver with a multi port connector so you can use one port in the reciever with several light connections into that 👍
What cage did you use on the rear?
Its the ProLine Back Half Cage For ProLine Cab Only Crawler Bodies👍

why didn’t you buy the axial 6x6 with a clear body
I already have the Trx6 so no need to buy another chassis better to just use the one I had and then only needed to buy the body now I can swap bodys and have 2 totally different looking Trucks 😁👍😁
What did you use as body mounts?
Just velcro along the door runners the rear section fitted very snug so even when it rolls over the body doesnt come off, love a bit of velcro :)

@@stevie123p crazy prices I got it from wheelspin models online last year Uk hobby shop I got the interior also ready to paint this year at some point, its Axial from the packaging ref AX1230003 keeping mine as I love the look of them too but thanks for the offer I will keep my eye on ebay incase someone sells one to stockpile haha joking! if they hold there value guess its good when you go to sell it painted unless its trashed from use👍

The rear cage fits tightly between the wheel arches nothing to actually hold it needed but you could use zip ties if you wanted the front section is strong velcro strips along the left and right side of the body attaching it to the chassis and works really well even when it rolled over doesn't come apart and nothing to spoil the look of the body with clips etc👍👍
is this body discontinued?
I am not 100% sure but have been messaged a few times from people that cant find the body for sale anywhere I haven't searched for one since to be honest, try axial directly for stock possibly If you haven't already.

the rear cage is tied to the rear so the front lifts up like a hinge and the door runners have velcro to attach them to the chassis works really well
