- There are some dangers of lucid dreaming that hardly anyone talks about, but they are very real and if you don’t know what they are, you can put yourself at risk of something bad happening. In this video I cover 6 hidden dangers of lucid dreaming!

Lucid dreaming is extremely safe and you will be fine as long as you are in the right mental state and have good intentions. However, there are some bad things that can happen and it's important to be prepared in case you find yourself in one of these situations.
The dangers I list in this video should be avoided at all costs because they could turn your lucid dream into a bad experience. There are many techniques you can use to turn your dream around if you're in danger, which I go over in the video. Watch it and write the steps down!
While lucid dreaming you are physically safe (because everything that's happening is in your head) and you would really have to go out of your way to cause harm. That being said, there are still some things that can potentially be dangerous to your mind if you're not careful while in the lucid dream.

The most untrustworthy thing to see in a dream is a bathroom.
Nah, It's safe 99% of the time. A while ago I dreamed of both puking and pooping at the same time in a dream and nothing happened irl.
I pissed in someones ass once and then i woke up🤦😂
"A normal goddamn bathroom" mix from different malls that i've seen, always 100% safe in my dreams,no traps. Also i look in the mirror to just see who i am this time.98% of time i am "better myself" and others is just "ok,not bad"

I’ve never been fully lucid but I’ve gotten close a few times. One time I remember I was in some kind of apocalyptic world and I started treating the dream like one of my role-play games and manipulated it without really knowing what I was doing.
Also, in most of my dreams I can actually feel pain, it is dulled though.
Ah, not the painful dreams! Once I was driving through the woods in a self driving Jeep that I made up so whenever I said a direction the Jeep would turn to dodge trees, the only thing was it was going fast and I ended up hanging out the window (sort of on purpose?) And I was hitting the side of it, but even when I woke up my sides kind of hurt 💀

My first lucid dream was accidentaly and it was a sleep paralysis. After that, i`ve had two more lucid dreams and they were sleep paralysis too. Lucky ik :)
Do you mean you were aware in a dream and that you were aware your body was asleep while in that dream? If so, it was a lucid dream. Waking up in real life (eyes open) yet unable to move is sleep paralysis. Very different and can be quite frightening. Just close your eyes and move them rapidly from left to right.. (you'll still have the ability to move your eyes). You will likley fall back asleep and wake up normally. Then book an appointment to see GP / doctor, as this is not lucid dreaming and has other origins thay can be investigated. Much love x ❤️
This happened to me, it was a really bad experience
I have had it exactly 11 times and it was fucking terrifying at the start
I had one by accident but I didn’t do anything cause it was in a nightmare s ok I just went wait I can just wake up and I did

I've had people call my name before in sleep paralysis. The story is actually pretty funny. I was having a dream where I was in Helen, Georgia which is a little town known for its German looking architecture. For some reason, my 7th grade science teacher was there. I don't know how it happened, but I found myself in my bed in a daylight setting (probably the morning) and I wasn't able to move or talk. There were no demons or anything like that, but I did hear my teacher calling my name. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to respond and every time I tried to yell, it ended up being a whisper that no one could hear. But, I did wake up in real life but I took a few moments to think about what just happened.
I'm a beginner with lucid dreaming, but I've practically watched every video on this channel, I've subscribed, liked and now im commenting. My sister thinks lucid dreaming ain't real, but she's honestly crazy! There was this one dream that I had where I was stuck in the woods. I “woke up” and thought that I was camping, however that was only in the dream. I started walking around and tripped. Because of this, I started falling and saw multiple horrific figures watching me. I was scratched, beat up, and thought I was going to die in real life. Right as I thought this, I woke up in my bed in the middle of the night. I felt something touch my hand that was hanging off the bed. I was about to scream when my dog stood up. This is probably the scariest experiences of my life. And the lucid dreaming aspect made it that much worse. The ability to feel all of the scratches and wounds made me have an uncontrollable fear of falling asleep. I lay in my bed for hours every night without any sleep because my mind doesn’t want to go through that again. I should probably see a doctor about this but I feel like that would only make it worse. The idea of a doctor or psychologist talking to me about this makes me feel like I would have to deal with it again. I have trouble going camping now even though it used to be my favorite thing in the world. The worst part is that when I woke up, I could still feel the bruises. I can still feel a few of them but they’re not as bad. There isn’t any physical evidence of the bruises, but it feels as if multiple needles are in my skin. I occasionally have sleep paralysis because of the nightmare but it’s never lasted more than a few minutes. This is the most traumatic experience of my life and this video helped me understand what happened. I felt like I should get this out there, ignoring the problem hasn’t done any good. Thank you to anyone who actually read this, even if you don’t care. Just know that I do and I appreciate it.
I was interested in lucid dreams, but now I'm kinda scared of what can happen
My first lucid dream, which i got today was indeed a LUCID NIGHTMARE. I literally woke up from the couch, realized I was in a lucid dream, then suddenly my vision turned to this picture of an almost black frog with pictures of my memories but out of my body in black and white. With the words I AM NOT REAL echoing again and again until I woke up. So yea. I don't think i wanna sleep again. I'm starting to question reality...

I’ve had Lucid dreams for a while. At first I panicked because it became a lucid nightmare, but over time I actually enjoyed fit because I took it on as a challenge, as I was able to to conquer this by believing in myself and able to change it to a more lucid state. I’m thinking of writing a story on my lucid dream.
I could imagine some bad person chasing, then it turns into a lucid dream and he pulls out a lightsaber
I’ve only had 3 lucid dreams, but in one of them I accidentally nocliped myself into a void, I lost control and it spiraled into a nightmare where I was eaten by a kracken, it scared me for months

Maybe you'll have lucid nightmare?
Don’t let this guy fool you, sleep paralysis is quite easy to control. Just close your eyes and be aware of the fact that the negative things are just from your mind. Remember They’re not actually there.
The science behind this is that the part of the brain responsible for fear is highly active during sleep lucidity (or dreaming), while the rest of the brain is not as active
I was practicing lucid dream tech and just recently realized that. I've always been ever since I was a kid. I remember they told me that you cannot die in your dream but I actually experienced that. I dunno how it feels in real life, but I'm pretty sure I felt it close enough. I think once you start noticing the sighs you can actually improve yourself mentally and spiritually. Human brain is having a similar design like the Cosmos and we should be very careful exploring the universe of the brain. Dark matter applies in both worlds too. Dream safe

Even if you accidentally spawn a demonic creature just don't be afraid of it or panic no matter what ever the situation is when you are in sleep paralysis and something scary happens don't panick
The only main problem is panic so avoid that
There was this one dream that I had that caused a Lucid Nightmare. So, I was by the bathroom standing there, just making the blinds up and down, I knew it was a dream because I always have these kinds of dreams. Then, I accidentally looked in the mirror and saw a demonic figure, I quickly looked away and ran, until monsters started chasing after me. But luckily, I survived and it went back to a normal Lucid Dream like it was before.

So I’ve lucid dreamed twice before. I had one yesterday and one a few months ago.
So the first lucid dream I had I was in an ice skating rink parking lot with my dad when I **looked down** and realized I was dreaming. So i said, “I’m dreaming!” Before repeating it louder and louder to my dad but as i looked up i noticed EVERYONE around me including my dad began to shush me with worried faces before I immediately woke up.
And my second dream happened recently (and it scared me a lot) where I was helping my mom clean up her food truck by a lake when I **looked down** and realized that I was dreaming, but I didn’t even make it an official thought in my head. So, I started to look up and say, “I’m dreaming.” but my mom interrupted me with the iris’s in her eyes white and she had really sharp teeth and said, “No you’re not!” In a demonic voice.
Then the dream dissolved into blackness.
And as I opened my eyes from waking up, I realized that I couldn’t move. Sleep paralysis. I was stuck until I yelled in my head repeatedly, “Get up!” When I was able to sit up.
I don’t even know what to think
I can’t control my scenery so I sit there like “alright well I’ll be here awhile”

I've died in dreams before. I think it's happened a couple of times but the only one I can actually remember is being shot in the forehead point blank. I remember the hot pain of it was quick for the most part but a small amount of pain lingered and it was like I stuck around watching from like an audience perspective for a few minutes and woke up.
I also used to be haunted by sleep paralysis. It scared me because I would always see this old hag on the other side of the room and she was always trying to talk to me. But I was liking ghost movie rules and thinking to not talk to listen to this entity. It would get mad I wouldn't listen sometimes which was even scarier. I didn't know what would happen. This used to happen almost every night upon waking up. I was scared to fall asleep. Eventually I listened to what she was trying to tell me. It was in a different language but somehow I understood everything she said. I remember feeling like she was trying to warn me of something and had only been trying to do this the whole time but I was scared of her appearance and I couldn't move. I woke up and could not remember for the life of me what she had said but just that she was trying to warn me of something. This happened to me almost every night for a year or two... When I broke up with the guy I was living with and moved out I never had sleep paralysis again, that was almost 5 years ago. I never had it before that either. It was very odd and scary. It wasn't always the old hag but she was the most frequent. There was a shadow figure that used to scare me and a few other figures that weren't scary but weird

Wont go too deep into it.. but once you are familiar with lucid dreaming, you will also be familiar of how to control any situation, or jump out.. even jump out to being awake in reality. Nothing to be afraid of.. its your world, and you have all the powers necessary.. whatever you can imagine, without having to unlock or pay for add ons 😉 Some have mentioned in the comments sleep paralysis.. quite a different thing. If you find yourself in sleep paralysis.. neat technique to go back to sleep is to close your eyes and move them rapidly left and right.. it mimics REM sleep.. then wake up normally. Do see a GP if you are having sleep paralysis.

I accidentally lucid dreamed when I was younger (around 8 or 9). I thought I woke up, then heard weird voices reverberating all over the place and I was lifted out of my bed towards a creepy face. It had beady eyes and was all bony with patches of skin hanging off. it began talking to me, something along the lines of “I am crane” or something weird like that idk and then I began falling with this face filling my vision telling me things that it would do to me and repeating the word “crane” this went on for what felt like hours. When I finally woke up I was screaming and my mom came in to my room and made me tea and stuff. But later that day I saw that same face in a painting at a antique store. I still have nightmares to this day and I have not tried anything to do with lucid dreaming. Probably never will.

I, to this day, still remember the time I died in a lucid dream.
To that time i was still relatively new to fencing, so I wanted to do it Nonstop. I created in my mind a Medieval setting. As soon as I got to the place where I wanted to fight, I lost complete control (and maybe even forgot that I was lucid dreaming, I don't know anymore). A knight appeared and dared me to fight him, so I did. The first moment I really was able to keep up with my defence and blocked all his attacks. But then he suddenly disappeared.
I still remember that 2 seconds where I wonder where did he went. Then he came from behind, and sliced my upper head clean from my body. Everything went red, and the last thing I could think of, while I tumbled to the ground, was:
F*%#, he got me...
Then I woke up.
I still freak out, everytime I think about it. It felt real, too real.
Had my first lucid dream last night. It lasted around 2 hours, and It was so cool. It was a little difficult at first, but I just relaxed and everything happened naturally. I could fly, and I went on my dream fishing trip. So awesome!

lucid dreaming is just VR but there is side effects, for example, my mom had one when she was younger and a witch said something like "he knows your awake" or something I forgot. But now she had weird dreams ever since then. And lucid dreaming is just VR but you can't back out whenever you try to leave.

I was a girl in the village doing alright, but then I became I princess overnight. Now I gotta learn how to do it right, so much learning- _forgets the rest_
I have recurring incidents of flipping light switches without any lighting coming on. The dreams seem so real that I’m actually relieved the wake from it.
One time, I was dreaming that my family was visiting the Grand Canyon (which was an upcoming trip we were about to do). We went to an area were the side of the canyon was the steepest and I looked over the edge of it to see how far down it was. Then all of the sudden, a stranger comes up behind me and pushes me over the cliff. I remember that it was the most realistic feeling of falling that I have ever experienced. I literally could feel my stomach dropping and my core tightening. Then when I hit the bottom, it wasn’t an instant death for some reason and I could feel real pain in my head and neck. Then I woke up.
I've died in dreams so much that I've actually gotten used to it. Most of my nightmares (back when I actually had dreams and nightmares) were lucid. I would try my hardest to evade whatever was after me but if I was In a position where there was no way out, I always had two things I could rely on to get me out of there. First one is the cooler one. In every single lucid dream I have ever had, I have a superpower if you will that was very easy to use in a pinch, no focusing required. It's kind of cringe but basically I could shoot an energy ball or portal out of my hands fairly easily. The portal was harder though and if it completely failed then I was forced to do number two. My second strategy was just to run out of wherever I was hiding and straight into the grip of whatever was after me. This would wake me up Everytime. Another thing similar to this that I would do doesn't work for most people but I could actually force myself to wake up even if it was a nightmare. All I had to do was blink hard and rapidly and one of the times my eyes would open it would be in the real world. It was pretty cool.
next time when you let yourself be catched just say to them that it is only a dream and they have no real power over you. It works
I used to lucid dream quite often when I was younger and I didn't really wrap my head around the fact you could do *anything* so I used to just spend all my time trying to wake myself up from in the dream which I actually found quite fun at the time, and I still remember I would aggressively open my eyes not rapidly but very aggressively and eventually my eyes would open irl lol
I used the exact same strategy when i was a kid. I just never had superpowers. Just one time i couldnt close my eye, it was disturbing (i closed it But saw threw em)
@@sashadoll8439 dude I've had that 💀
I do the second one, too. I had a dream where I was in a forest. I saw slenderman. I looked at my finger and saw I had 6, and realized I was dreaming. I ran straight into slenderman and woke up at 5 am. I couldn't sleep so I decided to get out of bed.
Sleep paralysis is quite Common for me. I get it around 6-7 times a year. Never scares me. I just go back to sleep. Sometimes there’s a strange figure. Usually not
I have it to how to get over it
@@name3907 try your hardest to speak or breath. It immediately wakes you up I found out.
But I still recommend going back to sleep. If you feel like your not breathing just remember your breathing subconsciously, so don’t freak out to much and go back to sleep.

And sleep paralysis is where I'm stopping this video. I'm about to go to bed and that genuinely terrifies me thank you very much
Something I did in my last lucid dream, where I got a slight level of control, to overcome the "lack of belief" was trying to change my environment/things in the dream in a way that was consistent to the logic and structure of the dream. That way, it is easier to start believing that you can control the dream.
U need to understand Physics. If u don't, somewhere in your mind will say that this whole thing isn't real, then you'll wake up
Thanks, man! I was able to experience a lucid dream. I set an alarm to wake up during the night and reviewed all my past sleeps. I convinced myself that I would have a lucid dream tonight. Before falling asleep, I imagined the sea. I had a dream In a 4k resolution scene of a pool, where the water was sweet and clear. To my surprise, I didn't encounter the usual bothersome smell of chlorine or the burning sensation in my eyes.
However, once the dream began, everything changed. The water was incredibly transparent, leaving me unsure if I was submerged or floating above its surface. My confusion took a terrifying turn when I lost my sense of direction, struggling to breathe as I started to drown. Desperate for a solution, I made a quick decision to close my eyes momentarily and transport myself mentally to a different place.
8:00 Great, now that that image is in my mind it's gonna happen, thanks a lot.
I had a lucid nightmare where I was being chased by a monster but I imagined a tank and used the tank to kill it.
I had something similar...I once was chased by some horror movie monster and I imagined a AK-47 and destroyed them
I imagined a bigger monster and I felt so cool while they were fighting, my monster lost and I woke up just as I was about to get eaten
I just realised, if you were retired and had enough money to live regardless of a job, but didn’t have any family members left, you could lucid dream as an entirely different world and keep going back to it as if it were another reality, meaning it could feel like doubling your life and creating an actual 2nd world that mattered just as much as the first one and you alternate between them each night. i don’t know if this’d have downsides though since i’m fairly new to all this
Well you could actualy do it even with a job its not like lucid dreaming takes up a lot of time
There’s a mental condition (I forget the name) that causes people to have very intense and seemingly very long dreams. For them it is not uncommon to live a whole life within a dream, only to wake up the next day to discover that all of your family and friends and your accomplishments were a dream.
@@hydrochicken9854 that's very scary but also very cool
That would be interesting.
@Hydrochicken I don't know about the mental condition but I had one of these, I had a husband and son and we all lived comfortably in a cabin themed house not too far out from civilization. It was about a about 35-40 min drive to the nearest store and our neighbor was about a 10-15 min walk away. We had our own little stretch of forest and everything, I lived to about 85 almost 86 and me and my husband died the same night holding each other, and I woke up crying because I won't see him or my son again.
This is in minimal detail because
a.) This would be to long
b.) It feels sorta like sharing a secret I was entrusted with
Can you stop putting that demon thing in your thumbnail
ITS A SLEEP PARALYSIS DEMON
I went skydiving in my lucid dream without a parachute above a massive city, then before I hit the floor I started flying and used the speed of the fall to shoot through the streets, it was so cool I so recommend it
Edit: also I use sleep paralysis sometimes willingly to instant lucid dream where I want to
Don't do anything before bed that would put your mind in a negative state
Me who accidentally saw his thumbnails in my recommended: Guess I'll die
Me in lucid dream: *dies*
Me: "Man, the pain feels so real!"
That happens to me
It's also 100fps wow!

@@NotCaitlinn I suffocated in a lucid dream once lmao
I have only felt lucid nightmares, at the time I hated it, now I love it
I had a lucid nightmare a while ago, I looked into a mirror and... I'm eternally scared. This was before I found out that you shouldn't look in mirrors.
My first lucid dream was when I was in school. Somebody next to me, my dream friend, told me that I was living in a dream. I remembered what I had heard about lucid dreams, where you can control the dream. Immediately, I started to go wild with controlling whatever I wanted for a few seconds then I realized the dream was fading to black And I started regaining consciousness.
OK WHO ELSE ACTUALLY GOT SCARED BY THE JAMES CHARLES THING LMFAOOOO

THAT WAS SO SPOOKY
Yep had the fun of lucid nightmares often, While I tend to overcome them it usually comes at the cost of my sanity in the dream ending it in a euphoric broken maddening laughter covered in the would be horrors remains.
(Thankfully my emotions are dulled in the waking world though I can't help but find it... fun;)
So I just realized this after watching this. I've had a lit of Lucid Dreams but I wasn't really aware that they were lucid dreams since I didn't know what it was. When I was 8 I had trouble controlling what I was doing. There were multiple times I found myself stuck underwater and waking up catching my breath. And I have had issues with sleeping because of my lucid dreaming that I didn't know I had. But yeah, now that I discovered what it is I will now know when I'm in a lucid dream.
Me lucid dreaming: *SNAPS*
5 seconds later: *thanos and everyone I hate becomes dust*
Plot twist :it wasnt a dream
YASS orr like rodey said we just time travel back to when thanos was a baby and ....
Sleep paralysis is the scariest thing ever. It happend to me a few weeks ago where a dark figure was hovering over me.
I have had these dreams where I felt like I was on drugs or my dreams where hyper realistic but I rarely have dreams so I decided to look up lucid dreams and it makes so much more sense now
New subber!
I just started lucid dreaming every day like a week ago! So helpful! I did get stuck in the dream not being able to change it! Good thing I have had a horror trip on psychedlics otherwise I would not keep going and can handle more intense situations now.
I suggest you when you are either lucid dreaming or in a sleep paralysis to calm down, take like a deep breath in (even if you aren't physically doing it) and focus on positive thoughts. Thanks to this I always escape sleep paralyses and have good lucid dreams
nice advice, I stopped fighting it and just let the shadow hug me and this works he eventually lets me go
Last week I went through a really depressing moment and I tried to overdose 😪 2 days ago, I fell asleep on the couch for about one hour and during that time, I dreamed that something (or someone), took my hand to show me that everything is OK, but then I heard my name called 3 times and somehow, I managed to get to where I was called from. And it was my body in a hospital, and I was flatlined (dead). I was looking at myself and I realised that I was actually the spirit of my body and I couldn't get in anymore. A few seconds later, my partner called me on my phone (in real life) and he woke me up. That dream fealt really different then all my other ones, because while I was with this being, I forgot everything and all I could feel was peace and calm. The dream that shook me...
To get out of sleep paralysis when it got too scary, i would always open my eyes as wide as I could. Weird but that was the only muscles I could move. Hallucinations just disappear and the weird heavy feeling goes away and you can sit up. Always worked 🤷🏼♀️
I legit love your vids
Aww thank you
Wholesome
To me, Dream claustrophobia is just the begginer stages / the first few times you lucid dream. With every lucid dream I get, I slowly begin to be able to do new things. I’m currently able to do these things
-change weather(newest ability, holy shit it was exciting)
-summon small objects into my hands
- flying
- jumping REALLY high, like bouncing .
-run hyper fast
-teleport? Idk time just sometimes skips for me in both lucid dreams and normal dreams.
Almost every dream I can remember was a lucid dream. While lucid dreaming sometimes I'll die. When I die the dream begins to feel very fake and most of the time I just wake myself up.
I know for sure I've had many lucid dreams, but what I don't understand is that when I wake up it feels like the dream is still going on. It's terrifying.
The 99 dislikes are the people who are like
“You cant tell me what to do! Im gonna go rob a bank now >:C”
Sometimes while watching a video I think to myself hmmm 🤔 I wonder who tf is disliking this video and why is exactly does it have dislikes
I lucid dreamed once, but when I noticed I was dreaming, I told everyone that this was a dream, and then I woke up, so don’t tell people that is is a dream because it will wake you up. Also I could not control anything, I could not fly, or spawn people in, so I was just stuck.
I’ll try to use this if it’s a lucid nightmare, just tell the demons, fuck off, I’m in a dream, and then disappear lol
ive had so many lucid nightmares. most of them i turn around, see something terrifying, and immidiately wake up before i can even process what i saw
I lucid dreamed completely successfully the other night, ..
Basically, it’s like the movie conception except you have complete control until you don’t.
I was at a party, but when I realized I was dreaming, while in an almost comatose state, I began doing anything I wanted to do,…
You can use your imagination to realize what that was. At first it worked out great, it feel like the real thing.
Then things started to get weird.
I woke up a few times but I was able to get right back into it,
As the “party dream” went on, and I kept “doing whatever I wanted to do with whoever I wanted” I caught myself being confronted with different weird monsters.
There was a bathroom, at this party place, idk why I kept going there,
Every time I opened the bathroom door a different animal would appear I front of the toilet, I only remember the last animal, it was a hog, brown hair, the size of a small pit bull.
The last dream that night when I opened the door and saw it, he came out and charged, I remembered I was in control, told it to stop and sit down and it did.
I can fly when I’m lucid dreaming but it’s extremely difficult.
Someone: I don't believe this crap
The next day: he believed it the hard way
The next day: he lucid dreamed by accident
Our dreams are now threatening us
Someone: I don’t believe in sleep paralysis i’ll go do it and proof y’all
The next day: He believed it the hard way
