Took me a few minutes to get into this, and the teaching style, but now I'm really hearing the difference in those little moments where an emotion is embedded. Amazing how he'll say so much without a word, like body language or facial expression is more efficient. Just seeing that face he made when going to the f minor alberti-bass section, I instantly got it! Bravo
To all you armchair critics... of course she hasn't got it exactly right yet, she's still learning. The point of the video is I believe to appreciate the skill of the teacher, and watch the progress of the student. She's obviously talented and not afraid of hard work. She'll get there in the end. Don't be so hard on her, it brings no credit to you.
Probably a good suggestion for this young girl is to work with singers, of course good singer, to feel vocal line , phrase ,breath ,and timing . Play some operatic music from Mozart.
Playing wasn’t as good as the teaching. Speed was all over the place. The pp weren’t as soft as they need to be. Too technical. Much of the special phrasing got lost in the speed.
The playing was excellent and I loved to listen to it. It had a tempo what made the music very much enjoyable! It was more fun, than listening to most of the concert recordings of this Mozart piece of established pianists. Keep up the good work, Qihang Mai!

He looks like he could play Joker 😂
I would laugh my a$$ off if this guy was teaching me, he makes some funny noises LOL
Big of blablabla from another professor
