Any chance we can get a mid year tier list to see what you think of all paddles on the market these days?
Aizec is in every video of yours these days. It's time to give him a raise.
Nice try Aizec
Come on man, he even hosted the last podcast.
I like the way you think 😂
Thanks for the first look! Still trying to figure out if I lean towards yours and your brother's paddle preferences. But it's super nice getting two POVs so concisely. Keep up the great work!
Sweet, been super curious about the Sweet Spot Max so much
only been checking your channel every day for this
Personally love pro xr paddles. Have tried every paddle out there and this one had significantly more spin than any of the other “high spin” paddles the youtubers preach about.
Thanks for your video. These paddle is nice but a little expensive. Still love the Hudef Viva Pro Gen 3 in my bag.
I know this upcoming month is busy but if you can sneak in a Honolulu J2k/J7K regular and pro video, that would be so dope. I feel like it's becoming the hottest paddle in the market lately. That and the Shogun. Love the videos.
LETS GOOO IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THISS
Will you be talking about the Franklin 12mm
Can you update us on how long spin lasts on a carbon fiber, non grit paddle? Specifically how long does it take to get to like a 15% reduction in spin which to me probably means it needs replacement, because you would truly notice- 2000 rpm becomes 1700.
Soon the show will be rebranded "Aizec & Friends" :)
Good looking paddle, but the price is a bit much at $209.99...
No new tech or anything special about it to justify such a high price.
Hey Chris, have you seen the Lotto Ultimo Pro paddles? Dicks sporting goods started carrying them and they look really cool.
I’ve had 4-5 paddles from ProXR. Their quality control is the worst I’ve seen from a company. I’ve had super head light paddle and super head heavy paddles. The grit on them are also hit or miss depending what paddle you get. I loved their paddle but I had to switch bc the QC was terrible.
Chris your new voice is Demonic. Hope you get to the THOMPSON to see if the sweet spot measures up. Also twist wait number on it would be appreciated.
I don’t really understand the differing measurements of swing weight and static weight. Is this literally manufacturing inconsistency? Poor quality control? Would be great if someone could explain
I ordered two sweet spot maxs and both edgeguards came in warped at the top. On one of them the grip insert things were placed crooked on both sides so they were sticking out off of the center of the grip.
chinese manufacturing variance at its finest
tbf, these sound like a hard pass - high twist weight, but small sweet spot and unstable w/o modification. The paddles don't seem to be well designed or suffer from significant qc issues.
Chris Olsen is the equivalent of Stephen Colbert when he was on the Daily Show. He does a phenomenal job, and with enough exposure like this he will probably eventually get his own spin-off side gig, maybe even a Podcast.
maybe as a co-host
What's up with the majority of paddles having thin grips... I've always been a standard shaped paddle player. I wish more were available with a 4.25" grip. People always tell me I can put more overgrips to make them thicker, but then you lose the bevels and the feedback off the face. The only ones I know of that make a 4.25" grip are Selkirk and Joola. Currently using my Gen 2 16mm Scorpeus. Any recommendations on adding thickness to a grip without sacrificing grip shape and feel?
try a medium or large Hesacore grip.
B/c there is an obsession w/ low weight paddles, so they make their handles as small and light as possible.
QuAlItY cOnTroL!!! Seriously those weights ranges are ridiculous.
Please review Mark Pickleball: MarkOne, MarkOneX, MarkTwo
They are thermoformed now. Was that mentioned? That's a significant change, is it not.
I would need to cut one open and check. Technically last years were too.
But I guess it depends how they define thermoform. When I cut open last years, it had the same carbon strip with foam inside it. Though, it looked less rigid than some other paddles I’ve tried.
Will have to see how this one looks
@PickleballStudio I emailed them recently, and the respondent told me it was thermoformed. But who knows.
Last year's was edge foam, this year's should be thermo according to their marketing material
Zane is winning
my signature 13mm sw came in at 126...
Dang!! What color?
@@PickleballStudio orange
and all the printing on the edge guard is garbage quality, i put on electrical tape to protect it and then took it off and all the printing came off with it
@@imK3VBOT😱
How did you measure SW?
Why would anyone buy this...sweet spot is off with dead spots and the quality control apparently is off.
agreed. High twist weight, yet small sweet spot and no stability w/o modification. This is either a huge design flaw or some seriously poor qc going on at ProXR.
Why companies the grip so small. Hands are too big for this paddle
add an overgrip
@@voltaquake 4 inch circumference is too small. I’m 6’2
