I believe our American culture has programmed us to never be satisfied and almost compete on how much you work, how little you sleep, always trying to outdo someone else on who has it worse... which of course is a path to achieve misery and ensures we stay in the rat race and always accruing new debt buying the next newest, bigger, better thing. It’s crazy to compete on levels of misery! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I think it is beautiful that you are satisfied and content with where you live and your goal is to have more quality down time rather than adding another notch on your activity belt! Being content in your home or wardrobe or cars or whatever material thing is a beautiful thing... but that doesn’t mean you never want to refresh some of those areas, but you don’t feel you NEED to always keep up with the Joneses!
It’s a balancing act for all of us, but it is key n knowing you can’t overwork yourself 50-60+ hours a week at work to achieve healthy, loving personal relationships. Or survive for very long on only 3 hours of sleep every night. Balance in all areas of life, including self care, is the big challenge. But I believe the happiest and healthiest have better balance.

Just celebrated 18 yr wedding anniversary. Totally agree about the “date night” thing. We have found that the more pressure we have put on “date night” the more things go wrong. Lol. Just let it flow naturally. If you have littles and can find child care for a night, don’t put pressure on yourselves. If you end up doing nothing and just being at home ordering take out and watching a movie and sleeping in the next day. That easily starts to become your favorite date night. You guys are awesome. Been following you since the closet days, Tiffany. I’m about 10 yrs older than you guys, but I have just love watching you and Brad and the evolution of your life. Love you guys 😊
We've been married for 34 years, have 3 kids & 2 grand babies, 6 mths apart. You do grow together & for me family is everything. Trust, respect & honesty is key as are the little things. Love this video & it's so good to see Brad & hear you both chat.

Lol I just turned 40 2 days ago I was so sad 😂, married 22 years and it just works! I agree with not feeling like you always have to do something, are son is in college we save our time for warm vacations but do not fall into the pressure of going out drinking and late nights with our friends we are happy the way we do things.
