Not picking, I swear but wanted to help with his one. If you leave your jar in a sunny place, you can harm a lot of the benefits. Warm is good and dark is good. With the tincture, fill just about to the top with vodka or it leaves space to oxidize where your plant matter isn't completely covered.
I have a bunch of questions because this is all new to me. I discovered I have st. Johns wort growing on my property. It is at the end of its blooming. Which parts do you harvest? Just the flowers or the flowers and leaves? Stems? Or roots? Is it too late for me to harvest some? Or should I not worry and just take note to harvest it next year earlier in the season?
