Igor Cavalera is one of the most underrated drummers i can think of. The tone he got out of his kit, particularly on the Chaos A.D. and Roots records, is iconic imo
I’ve always thought so too and why its not talked about as much as it needs to be. Not just the tone, but how he fuses his samba influences into death/thrash metal is innovative af. One of the best metal drummers i know of
Igor is easily the loudest drummer I've ever seen live. I saw Cavalera doing Morbid Visions and Bestial devastation back to back and Igor hit those drums like they owed him a significant amount of money
