This is McDonnell's first stint directing a music video. He directed the 2013 horror film Hatchet III, and his rich resume as a motion picture cameraman includes Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Ant-Man and The Interview. For SLAYER's "Repentless," he and the video's producer Felissa Rose pulled together a gang of actors and crew who have been part of some of the most iconic horror films ever made: Derek Mears (Predators, Friday The 13th, Tyler Mane (Halloween), Jason Trost (Hatchet III), Danny Trejo (Machete, From Dusk Till Dawn), Tony Moran (Halloween's Michael Myers, American Poltergeist), Sean Whalen (Men In Black, Halloween II), and Vernon Wells (Mad Max 2, Commando, Weird Science) all are featured inmates in the video. And if that wasn't enough, McDonnell and Rose brought in stunt coordinator Nils Allen Stewart who is known for his work on films like Planet Of The Apes, Anger Management and Daredevil.

The, more consistently awesome and prolific, German band, Sodom render this statement completely redundant.
Slayer went into the 90's in decline, after having had 5 amazing albums. A decline that started with the totally meh album, Divine Intervention, getting progressively worse with the next 2.
Sodom went into the 90's with the incredible Tapping The Vein, have been pretty consistently awesome for 40 years and are still making great albums like Genesis XIX, to this day.
I'm amazed people talk like you about Slayer after them letting fans down and phoning it in, with mediocre albums like Diabolus In Musica, God Hates Us All and Repentless, for years.
Sodom albums like Agent Orange, M-16 and Decision Day shit all over that stuff.

This album was not as good as GOD HATES US ALL - damn, they were pissed on that one! Slather was at their best when they were able to combine the aggression with really good song writing. South of Heaven, Seasons in the Abyss, and GHUA were their best albums in my opinion.
I realize I'm in the minority, but with the exception of the title track, I was never a big fan of Reign in Blood.

Also the reason why its directed at Metallica, is they sold out. Slayer, the only band of the big 4, which stayed true to the end. Metallica did do the St. Anger video in San Quentin first but that was basically a concert with inmates as the audience.
This Slayer video is of a balls-to-the-wall prison riot and I'll never know why Slayer, of all people, didn't do a video like that sooner.

+Elias Gonzalez I haven't particularly gotten into Megadeth, though their music is good. I love Metallica and Slayer as well among many types of metal bands, from these guys to the likes of Cradle of Filth, Cannibal Corpse, Cattle Decapitation, and much, much more.
I love all 4 of them (including Anthrax) But all of them have their own pros and cons.
