Before that I was concerned because I have gained 40 lbs, but probably at least 15 of it is baby, placenta, fluids... so the rest I know I can lose being active after the birth! If I had overeaten, I would have gained even more... like 50-70 lbs!!!
Literally, I’m not sure when we started saying “It’s fine, you’re eating for two!” But it needs to stop. You don’t have to go through your entire pregnancy eating salads, but Jesus the extra calories aren’t going to be good for you or baby. And then so many women wonder why they’re extremely overweight postpartum🤦🏼♀️
Agreed! I gained 75lbs while pregnant because I over ate and got stuck in a binge cycle. Thankfully I never had high blood pressure or diabetes but I would NEVER do it again if I have another baby. It’s been 5 months and iv lost 50lbs so I’m getting back my body
Hi 👋🏿 black guy here! Plenty of us cruise, we even like cruising and have cruising channels on RUclips. I, personally really like cruising and there are lots to do. Last ship I went on was Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas. While on the ship, I hit the gym, rock climed, surfed (or tried to) was in a basketball tournament, did lots of game shows, watched a comedy ahow, musical, and went to parties. I met some really cool people of all ages. Also, you're not on the ship the whole time, the ports are great too. The food is good, they literally load the ship with fresh food at the beginning of the cruise and everything is cooked fresh every day. Cruises are getting more expensive, but they are still a really great deal since most of the food is included, you get to see different places (a samples worth), and it's a good excuse to disconnect from work and just relax.
If I was on a date, and a woman said her favorite food was Spaghetti-Os, and SHE isn't the woman of my dreams, I'd get up and leave while laughing. I'm not Italian, but I am from NY, so we take Italian food too seriously for that nonsense.
I worked at a Starbucks kiosk at a grocery store, I never understood why people bothered with the food bc it's so overpriced (so are the drinks but I understand that more). Especially, the breakfast sandwiches, they could just grab a box of them and heat them up at home. But, to each their own I reckon. 😆
Second you on the airport prices but I'm UK expat in Australia and had a 3 hour stop over in China going home. It was during the Olympics there so it was done up really nice so I went and had a traditional Chinese noodle soup for breakfast. Wow it was yummy, what ever I paid it was worth it.
hiii so i've been on about 8 family cruises in my life consisting of carnival, disney, and royal carribean. they have extensive pools and waterparks. some newer ones have full on rollar coasters. lots of water slides, rock climbing, swimming, surf machine things, arcades, casinos, bars, carousel, gyms, karaoke and live music, ziplining, plays and musicals. they typically have mile long jogging tracks around the ship too. there are teen clubs and childcare as well, and i remember getting a spa day and my hair dyed on my last cruise. that also doesnt include excursions
i understand why people like fried oreos but to me it's so gross. Oreos are better crispy and I still don't really like them. I had a funnel cake at the last fair I went to, every burp through the rest of the night tasted so GROSS. I can't eat fried food anymore. (with the exception of french fries lol)
If you like bread, you should try to make your own fresh loaf, it’s easy to do, a good arm workout, not to mention that it’s cheaper usually. Just use flour, yeast, salt and warm water. That’s all u need, and an oven ofc.
depending on the cruise ship there’s a lot to do tbh, it’s a good way to get steps in!!! also there’s plenty of fruits and veggies and fish and white meat and eggs to eat instead of… everything she ate 😕 they also set out a TONNNN of water so there’s plenty of water, she just was too indulgent to choose any of that 💀

Reminder: very few foods are inherently bad, especially Spaghettios. They are hardly the cornerstone of my weight loss eating plan, but they are a small part. They are 270 calories per can and I portion it, half is 135. So I have that half with tomato soup (60), green beans (15), applesauce (50) and a fun size Reese’s Fast Break (90). Total=350. Drink a bottle of water or zero drink and you will be full. Portion control is the key.

It's kind of hard to eat too much protein, so no problems there, but I think the biggest issues people face is portion control and the frequency in which they eat.

The green beans are the only thing that's good for you that you are eating. Do a body good and add some real food in there. Apples, oranges, Carrots, hummus, saurkraut. cucumbers, tomatoes. squashes, olives, feta, lettuce, fish, chicken, etc. Pre-processed items maybe edible but they are not food.
My parents in law used to go on 2 cruises a year. The ships stop at different countries & you get to spend a day there. There’s also loads of entertainment onboard like music & cinemas, swimming pools…
As a person that’s been on 4 family cruises (3 Carnival, 1 Royal Caribbean) I completely agree with you. They’re boring and runs its course by day 3, serves nothing but literal slop besides the salad bar, will attempt to scam you outta $100 on departure day because they assumed you had room service, they leave bottled water in your room that will get you a $20 charge if you’re desperate enough to crack one open, I’m not a drinker and there’s 20 bars on every floor , I’m not a gambler at all so let’s rule out the casino, etc. Sure there’s comedy shows and other stuff, but it’s a one and done experience. You also have a very limited amount of time when docked at the specific location so you can’t thoroughly shop/explore said island or get too involved with their activities. Once the boat leaves you’ll be trapped at said location and they’re not turning back for you lol. My parents invited me to one they’re taking in August and I said “no” with the quickness 😂
So about the hangover thing: I’ve always heard that greasy food helps hangovers, and have personally experienced that. Maybe it’s a placebo, idk, but when I’ve had a hangover so bad I threw up any water I drank, for some reason greasy food helped 🤷🏻♀ idk though cause last I read about it there’s no real evidence that greasy food helps hangovers, maybe it’s something that works for some people and not others? But yeah, that’s a thing
I mean cruises are damn expensive. Was only once in my life because I got invited. Tbf there is plenty to do if you bought the options, like gaming zones, bars some ships have malls. But you normally rather go on a cruise to visit the towns the cruise ship stops by or go on tours you booked prior in the package. We loafed in one bar around most of the time when on board what was kinda nice beside exploring the ship but most of the time we where outside checking the tours or sleeping. I have to agree the food was pretty neat though, breakfast was super awesome, they had the best damn omelettes I ever ate in my life and there was a queue each morning for those. But I personally think that was a time I ate healthier as at home at that time. You still decide what you put on your plate in the end and the options to choose healthy are plentiful as much as the unhealthy options are there.

I took, struggle with swimming.... a better way to say it is, I can swim until I get tired because I can't float, I sink like a rock, no matter what I've done so far.... maybe I'll figure something out one day

High protein foods after drinking are actually shown to help the body better handle a hangover. Everything they're eating will make it worse.
