Saying genetics determine weight is wrong though. Calories don't magically appear on your body out of nothing. If you don't eat more than you burn, you cannot become obese. Even if there was one person that had the rarest disease or disorder, it still wouldn't change the rule because the disorder is unique.

I’m 62 and yes I fall usually once a month because I walk my 105 lb Doberman mix, my 70 lb Lab-Shepard-Rhodesian Ridgeback mix and the naughty usually drags my ass down 40 lb Beagle-Golden Retriever mix all at the same time. If I’m not paying attention to my surroundings, that’s usually when bad sh-t happens and I’m on the ground bleeding. Mostly I look around and just hope no one’s seen what has happened! And then I dust myself off and finish our walk!

On the first one - way too many doctors don't listen to women's health concerns and often dismiss them with a prescription for birth control or an order to lose weight. While weight is definitely a contributing factor to many conditions, if a doctor immediately attributes health problems to weight alone without running any tests, they aren't doing their job right.

Second later talking about "if doctors really cared" doing some hard projecting here. She's so big that she doesn't fit in the chairs, can't be weighed on their scales and needs an special blood pressure cuff, but they're the ones that don't care... Lady, you did this to yourself; you're the one that doesn't care.

I'm in my 70's and never in all these decades have I seen the amount of gluttony and the enormous sizes of these people today! It's just disgusting that most people are now fat! What has happened to taking care of ourselves and having some pride in our appearance and as a person. Society continues to go down hill.

I can do it in one sentence: Because excess adipose tissue and weight puts extra stress on the entire body, so reducing it and moving it into an "ideal range" minimizes thie stress which in turn increases the body's ability to perform all its functions more optimally. The real question here is "do you understand anything I just said?"

I’m a big lass, not a behemoth but chunky, and I have a towelling bath robe I put on after a shower and dry legs and things with a hand towel, anything bigger is far to heavy and I can’t use it (I’m disabled) you can’t beat a towelling bath robe just wash it every few showers 🚿

Medical professionals need to know what you weight for many reasons what if you're getting put under? They have to know what you weigh

I have been metabolically obese, not extremely...but I've been there. I lost a substantial amount of weight. Let me tell you, you gotta be pretty freaking big before those doctors mention your weight. I saw "obese" on my chart but they never addressed it because I was like a baby obese person, not full fledged. Just seeing that scared me into action. My doctor did not need to have any conversation with me. I got my act together. Had I been as large as her I would have anticipated a conversation. I refused to have it so i changed my ways. Point is, being obese is not enough to get them to call you out. You gotta be big as hell before they start mentioning it or having issues related to weight...

I think when she said, "weight loss surgery is just a band-aid." she meant people still have to work through the mental issues causing them to overeat, or else they will just repeat the process.
