A dcotor prescribing weight loss is the medical treatment; they're not telling you to do it for shits and giggles. They're giving you that prescription because it's a legtimate action you can take to help yourself. They always say they don't get "proper medical care," but what they mean is that they don't get told what they want to hear. They even say that this is their problem with doctors when they talk about how they're not there to hear about their weight, even though the chances are that whatever their issue is has something to do with their weight. I don't really understand where this sort of attitude and way of thinking came from. It kind of resembles a pill addict's behavior when they go to different doctors until they find one that will give them what they want.

There are all sorts of things that stores won't keep in stock for one reason or another and have to order for you or you have to go online to order. This isn't limited to clothes and it never has been. When you go to get tires for your car, sometimes they don't have the size or style you need and they have to be ordered. It's not some personal attack on you and your car when they don't have your tires at the local Monteith or Discount Tire. They're not Hondaphobic for not carrying your car's specific size and style of tire.

Yeah, while there are plenty of theoretical customers in a town of certain size range most of them are likely not comfortable going into a store and try on the clothes and thus the typical multiples size person rather shop on-line.
Edit: how does she expect air companies reduce number of passengers per flight but still use same amount of airfuel to transport from point A to B.? Fact is that many air companies aren't really that profitable, they may be on the more sought after lines between the most important cities but they are often subsided (even in capitalist countries) to deliver access to less sought after places because it is important to have that infrastructure to geographical areas where traffic is comparatively less. I would guesstimate the more profitable air companies are those who provide cheap tickets to popular sun resorts with sardine jar jammed flights where customers are ready to go to and from to the airport at farthest distance from the city. The more quality comfort companies have surely felt the impact of technical development in business where they can have digital meetings and not need a day flight to another city.

On medical *fat phobia*...when Jordan Underwood was interviewed in a podcast she criticized her HAES doctor for not noticing the rapid size gain she did under a period (implying that her stage four lipedema should/could have been noticed before it got to stage four (Jordan did not elaborate on what forbid her to raise the question of her abnormal leg size herself with the doctor she chose specifically for that doctor practice "Health at every size" and ain't bitching about her weight)).

2,000 calories is approximately what a man needs in a day. If a woman eats 2,000 calories a day she would be obese. Women need about 1,500 calories a day.

it depends on your height and lifestyle. I'm a woman and I am 1,75cm (I think it's 6'9-6'10 in the imperial system) and I can be on 1500 if I need to lose weight, but if I am at 1500 calories when I'm at my healthy weight, I would end up really hungry (and would end up losing more and more weight)

Omg the pigeons with one leg, your humor kills me dude 😂😂
I actually have one leg and shopping for pants is mildly inconvenient because my one real leg is very muscular lol.
Fat activists act like it’s oppression to not fit exactly into “normal” clothes. It would be the same with a bodybuilder with massive quads and small waists, or somebody with no arm(s) who has to deal with “extra” arm sleeves. You just gotta adapt and do the work to adjust your clothes.
PLUS THEIR ISSUE IS ACTUALLY CHANGEABLE 💀😆

"You're not advocating for your fat friends and family". Oh? I though I was trying not to have their poor life choices cost ME more. Why is all of society expected to pick up the costs for these people? THAT'S a serious sense of entitlement she's got going on there....

FYI viagra was originally a blood pressure medication and now it’s used for something very different lol…
The sildenafil compound was originally developed by Pfizer for the treatment high blood pressure (hypertension) and angina pectoris (chest pain due to heart disease). During the heart clinical trials, researchers discovered that the drug was more effective at inducing erections than treating angina.

During my endocrinology rotation that was one thing they told us. People will come in prediabetic and they will be told that they will be prescribed this pill for temporaty management but chainging their diet and lifestyle they will not have to be on the pill anymore, and people just choose to go on the pill, not change their lifestyle and diet and step by step have to go on stronger pills and higher dosages until they become a diabetic and have to go on insulin, and even still they tend to not control what they are eating which means they need more and more medication and then they start losing limbs

I have sleep apnea and wear a c-pap at night. I've lost 190 lbs, my neck is 14 inches around and I still need the c-pap because my breathing is a posture issue. If I sleep without it my CO2 level gets too high and can put a strain on my heart.

i always have to tell people this when i do activism...Human senses of taste and smell are highly adaptable. You can train your palate to like or dislike certain flavors and textures by repeatedly exposing your taste buds to different foods. Over time, even textures or tastes you once found unpleasant can become familiar. This adaptability is a natural survival skill. For instance, picky eaters can gradually overcome their preferences by consistently trying new flavors. Unfortunately, many children who develop unhealthy eating habits, often leading to obesity, lack proper guidance from their parents. Addressing these habits early in childhood is a simple yet critical step in preventing future health issues.

This boils down to capitalism. The market has decided it’s MORE EXPENSIVE to be overweight. If they charged what it would cost to have the floor space and small batch sizes for the volumes they sell, they’d have to charge much more. Unfortunately, doing that would make the company look worse by charging more, so they choose not to offer in store.

Why is the ability to shop in a store the end all be all for these people? How is it THAT important to them tht they make tick tocks every day about it? I don't get it at all! It's not like we don't have online shopping and everything is practically next or 2 day shipping and free. Besides it's not just obese sizes its also small sizes that aren't available in stores, never hear them mention that in their daily rants about clothing.

"That's capitalism." Yeah, it is and the price change is not just becasue the seats are bigger, it's because it costs money to pay the people that install, ship, pack and build the seats, who also pay for the material to make the seats in the first place and all the costs that process entails. They're not blaming the customer for any of that because it's just how it is. I'm not gonna say people like this are stupid, they just have bad luck when it comes to thinking.

Even as the world population is becoming more ans more obese, in the US at least, I only really know of 2 plus size brick ans mortar stores.
    TORID
    &
    BIG AND TALL
If it was super profitable to sell 4x and above clothing, considering what a store could realistically charge for all that extra fabric,
    Companies would be doing it!!!!
If there was any sort of huge profit to be made, there would be 4x and above in every store!
Companies don't care about fatphobia. All they care about in money, so it's pretty clear that if the majority of stores arnt selling these sizes, it's because they can't move the product fast enough to turn a profit before the season is over!
It's not because they hate fat people!
So either lose the weight or do the work of finding what cheaply made xxxxxL online clothing fits you.
    Sorry not sorry.
If you're going to be 4 times the size of an average human being, it's going to be more difficult to find clothing.
    It's not rocket science
