"Fat" is more ambigious and can be a highly subjective limit. A person who are skinny fat may be within normal bmi but still think they have too much fat.

Makes sense. Obese refers to a person who has a higher than regular fat percentage, fat suggests you're nothing more than a mobile assembly of pure fat

I have a serious question for anyone interested in answering... so we're all destined to death one way or another; you can live a healthy life and live to 102 or you can live a life subjective to your personal desires and die at 70... either way we're all going to die.
Now, how it ends makes a difference...I don't want to die via drowning when there's a physical sign of 'do not swim here' and I decide to swim there and I ignore that sign and that results in my demise.. that's just pure Darwinism
But let's just say that person that was healthy lived to be 102 got cancer and died compared to the person that got cancer at 52 and died.
Living to 102 seems a little EXCESSIVE to me. I may be coming off a little cynical, but I'd rather get life over quicker because what could you add to the world after 80 years old?
When you're nothing but just a liability, what value do you bring after a certain age?

You're vastly overestimating those lifespans and fail to take in account the quality of life. The number of years doesn't even matter if they weren't good years. You can feel like crap for your whole life or feel good; regardless of how long you live, living well will always be worth it.
Being overweight and/or unhealthy gets exponentially more miserable as you age.
@@catherinecox573 okay, I hear that...I watch "My 600lb life" and those folks are too young to be huffing and puffing after 3 steps.
And I get that the quality of life should be good, but everyone dies a tragic death one way or another.
Now, people shouldn't be dying at 40 years old....I draw my line there, but I know some obese people who are in their 50's

Wow. Never really thought of it that way. I am 56 years old and 8 months ago was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. My treatment plan includes chemo, surgery (a mysectomy), radiation and then more chemo. After reading this, I am stopping any further treatment to reduce any chance that I hit that 80 year old mark with nothing to offer the world and the world has nothing to offer me. I mean, what's the point, right?
