Oh my goodness what super bags... l love them all ...i am English so i am glad you buy from" Aspinal."they are.quality for sure ....i collect vintage bags which i love ..i have a passion for crocodile punched leather ...so great !!! As to your hair i am a hairdresser @ i would Not advise every 3 weeks for colouring ..i know when it is dark roots, they show quickly, but you could use a root power ie ..colour Wow do a good one in dark brown this would help you go an extra week ...you just dab along your parting its really good ...hope you don' t mind my saying !!!♡

I love all the bags but my favourite is the Editor's Tote. I am a church organist so I am always carrying a binder which contains music and ideas for Advent, Christmas or Lent; my music planning journal, and music that I am working on. So, my bags are large and heavy - my choir laughs when I show up with a small purse! It is hard to find high quality and function that you absolutely love. I really admire your passion for chic style Marie-Anne and in particular, your love of Aspinal of London! 👌 I have been looking at the Soho bag for a while now and watching your video convinced me that it would be a worthwhile purchase. I had a look on the website today and they have just added lots more beautiful items to the outlet section, so I quickly made the purchase of a dark red croc soho bag along with a beautiful leather strap that was also on sale. I also picked up the leather cleaning kit on sale so that I can look after my purchases for years to come. I recently picked up some passport covers and luggage tags from the brand and since then, I have fallen in love with all their products. 😊 The Soho bag now available is slightly different to yours in that it is wider at the bottom and does not have a padlock zip charm. I figured that buying an extra bag strap enable me to present more looks with one bag as the strap has different colours on each side. I can also use the gold chain, the wrist strap or else just use it as a clutch. Thank you for helping me up choose this lovely bag and I look forward to more videos! 💕👌😊

I love your enthusiasm and agree that the "thunk" of that tote closure is wonderful. A few years ago, before I retired, I bought an outrageous Louis Vuitton bag, very unlike my New England practical self I'm not one for knowing the names of my bags, but this one is a white multicolor with brass studs. It's practically a piece of luggage and can hold an eyeglass case, sunglass case and collapsible umbrella (important now that I live in FL). It has so much pattern that it really goes with nothing but solid colors. I don't let that bother me, though. I carry it whenever I feel like it, although most days I use a lighter Longchamp pliage. Since retiring 3 years ago, I haven't bought a single new bag. I figure the ones I have will last forever. You are so smart to buy what you love.

Was so tempted to get the mini trunk from the same collection, but until I can see how I'll really use it I don't want to buy it - so hard! Loving a number of their other pieces too... the crystal trunks/trinkets are to die for, and have you seen the limited edition Tudor designs on some the mini trunks? Stunning. The travel bags, Florence bag, hat bag... So many lovely new items for my Pinterest boards! 😉

Gail Spear I agree with you re: a “heavy” look or feel. For that reason also, and from experience, I don’t purchase handbags with a chain strap. It cuts into my shoulders-hardly a way to feel chic or elegant! For a clutch style, I don’t use a wallet. I have an ultra-slim leather card holder with only my driver’s license, medical services card, and a credit card. Along with my phone, lipstick, mascara, a tissue or two, and medicine in a small cloth bag with a copy of the prescription (just in case), that’s it. All the essentials, without deforming the slim outline of the clutch.
Dear Marie-Anne, I received a handbag about 17 years ago that was a Brahmin, it is a brown tone with a embossed alligator skin look, very similar to the style of yours. I really have no earthly idea of how much it was(gift) but it is timeless and I use it fairly often. I do try to find bags that are nice quality and lovely linings but I wish that I was not so hard on my everyday bags. I have the tendency to stuff everything in my bags, I just have to be practical! Do you have any tips on the maintenance of your good quality items?
I always get so inspired by you to only buy what makes me go "wow" - I was just in Brooks Brothers looking at a beautiful scarf, on a huge sale, so I was tempted to purchase ..... but I thought "Beautiful, but I'm not in love with it - it will set in my closet and therefore not be a good value, regardless of price." Concerning handbags: I have a Loden bag I LOVE but the metal has worn very quickly. If you had a bag you loved everything about but the clasp...would you prefer to replace the bag or find someone to change the clasp?

@Carrie: Sometimes you can find similar looks in much less expensive bags. I think the idea here is to take note of those classic styles and use them as inspirations for your purchases. I'm with you with the "over $1,000" price tag, but I'll keep those classics in mind when shopping within my price range.
Yes the price of that bag puts it out of reach of us ordinary folk, the majority, I think. Even if I were wealthy, I would find it scandalous that someone could spend that much on a bag when many people in the world struggle to put food on the table. It is a nice bag no doubt, but not worth THAT much. It is only that price because some fool is prepared to pay it!
It's embossed. I was on the search for the Florence bag, which Aspinal had in Saffiano leather previously; and because I at first just saw the pictures of the current Florence line without reading that it's embossed, I was searching, because I didn't want to buy crocodile / exotic leather in general. Then I finally read the description 🤦🏻♀️.
Barbara McDonald Hi Barbara, oh yes, it was; I ordered it, and it had glazing issues on the handle. Thank God I ordered from Selfridges, so I didn't have to pay for sending it back. But it broke my heart, it was soo beautiful. I think I will see if I can pick up one when visiting London the next time; it's so hard to wait, but better than having a damaged bag. It's too much money for keeping it damaged 😔.
Barbara McDonald It's in their regular collection; they just don't have the "original" Dockery bags, they renamed it in Florence Bag. But the shape of it is still available, just not in the colours the original Dockery collection came in. 😊 Oh, and I think the snap bags got discontinued. Seems like House of Fraser still as a few. I'm considering getting one of these from House of Fraser. They're very beautiful as well, they have two handles (and that snap closure). Very pretty 😍.

Love the purses, not the prices. Over $1,000 for the Editors Tote- As a retiree that is half of my monthly income, yikes.
@Carrie: Sometimes you can find similar looks in much less expensive bags. I think the idea here is to take note of those classic styles and use them as inspirations for your purchases. I'm with you with the "over $1,000" price tag, but I'll keep those classics in mind when shopping within my price range.
Yes the price of that bag puts it out of reach of us ordinary folk, the majority, I think. Even if I were wealthy, I would find it scandalous that someone could spend that much on a bag when many people in the world struggle to put food on the table. It is a nice bag no doubt, but not worth THAT much. It is only that price because some fool is prepared to pay it!

Is the EDITOR'S TOTE embossed leather or crocodile? Of them all, that just knocks me out!
It's embossed. I was on the search for the Florence bag, which Aspinal had in Saffiano leather previously; and because I at first just saw the pictures of the current Florence line without reading that it's embossed, I was searching, because I didn't want to buy crocodile / exotic leather in general. Then I finally read the description 🤦🏻♀️.

Hi Barbara, oh yes, it was; I ordered it, and it had glazing issues on the handle. Thank God I ordered from Selfridges, so I didn't have to pay for sending it back. But it broke my heart, it was soo beautiful. I think I will see if I can pick up one when visiting London the next time; it's so hard to wait, but better than having a damaged bag. It's too much money for keeping it damaged 😔.

It's in their regular collection; they just don't have the "original" Dockery bags, they renamed it in Florence Bag. But the shape of it is still available, just not in the colours the original Dockery collection came in. 😊
Oh, and I think the snap bags got discontinued. Seems like House of Fraser still as a few. I'm considering getting one of these from House of Fraser. They're very beautiful as well, they have two handles (and that snap closure). Very pretty 😍.
I love your enthusiasm, just discovered your videos. You're a delight! I just ordered my first Aspinal bag and I am a huge fan now. I'm so appreciative they deliver to the USA and can't wait to visit one of their stores in person someday. Even their "fun" bags have a classic beauty to them that is timeless vs being trendy for the sake of being trendy. :)

I find Aspinal bags don't hold very much. But that seems to be the trend with most bags.
