Yeah I have to agree with you ... as much as I love our 20" inductions, we've already scratched them. Going with the 19"s and swapping out the Gemini's for something like this, is a perfect solution 🙌

But mostly bummed that I didn’t get to say hi and meet you. Been following your channel for a while now, maybe another time! Love that you did this for someone deserving. 👏👏
I received the wheel covers today. They are in fact directional. The ones for the right side have an R molded on the inside. The ones for the left side do not have it. Also, they are very hard to remove. Once they are on, they will remain on. Use gloves to remove them and work your way around the cover carefully. Not a big deal. I actually like they are well secure on the wheel.
Okay you just sold me on these. It really bugs me how everything else seems to be nondirectional. I know the turbine blades are just for aesthetics, but when they are the same, it will suck on one side and blow on the other side a little bit. It's just not right. So glad I waited for these!
OK, these are my favorite ones that I’ve seen so far! I like how they not only cover that outside lip of the wheels, but it also covers the inside of the wheel as well. I’ve noticed most of them when you put them on you can still see the silver part of the inside of the wheel and I don’t like that. The look amazing! Just saved the link and website. I’ll be purchasing these for sure!
I just bought a used 22 Model 3 and it was in great shape but had those ugly original wheel covers and 3 out of 4 wheels were curbed. I put similar "induction" wheel covers on the 3 and it looks amazing. Everyone assumes it's an actual wheel and it wraps around the damaged edge of the wheels. Makes the car look NEW and more modern than the originals.
thanks for showing the foam install. Now seeing this I did mine wrong. I put mine like in a "U" pattern so they covered the back and the front of the wheel cover. You put them on soley to cover the back. I wish teskings gave a slightly better install instruction but it is what it is.
I recently received my order for the Tesla "Whirlwind" wheel covers. They look great. A few issues that I found with the order: 1. The adhesive strips that came with the kit were all pulled apart in the box. When I peeled away the remaining backing, all the sticky stuff stayed on the paper strip and not the foam part. Foam was not sticky. I clipped the covers on without the foam. 2. There doesn't seem to be a flat area for the foam to attach to on the inside of the wheel cover. 3. I didn't see any support section or a video for how to install the wheel covers. Yes, they just snap on, but applying the protective foam was not intuitive. You have a RUclips video for one wheel cover, but it doesn't show anything about the protective foam strips.
I didn’t show the foam on the model 3 video because I completely forgot. On this video, I show you exactly how/where to install the foam…adhesive backed foam can be tricky to separate from the paper, but in 2 installs, I’ve never had the adhesive rip off.
@@EvanLividicus they do, because they change drag across the wheel. I've seen claims that these give an oddity Al 2-3 miles I'd range over the stock ones but I haven't seen that substantiated in any way.
how are these holding up? Do they scratch the wheels? or rattle? I had the tsportline version. They look nice and seem very protective, but when I removed the cover and noticed they scratched the wheels.
I have these from past two months on my new MYLR. They look good. Only problem is the perimeter chipping into pieces when i go to car wash. It seems like they will break completely after 20 -30 washes. Not durable.
Oh no that’s not good. I wonder if your car wash rails are just too aggressive for these. The covers on our model 3 from the same company have been through the car wash many times with no issue.
BTG, they look great! Maybe a stupid question what does it do to the range? I have a 2022 Model Y LR. I didn't like the Gemni Caps and took them off. It looks good with the regaular rims, but I want the contrast of the black wheels with the white car. Thoughts please...
I was about to buy these covers a few days ago, but then I noticed the little cut out for the valve stem on one of the skinny spokes. After you see it, you can't unsee it and it sticks out quite a bit. I think I'll go with a different design.
In person it doesn’t show. It’s at an angle so it blends in really nicely. Not nearly as nice as the Uber covers they make for the model 3, but as good as it can be

But if you don't mind that, they look good.
so i didn't put the tape around the edges is that going to be a problem? the OEM covers don't have tape edges and it doesn't appear to be scratching the rims?
as long as you dont remove them, it wont be a problem. As soon as you take them off, you will see they can scratch your wheels underneath if you dont have that tape on.

It’s because of the wheel design underneath. They haven’t been able to replicate that look yet
These wheel covers are only okay. I ordered them through Teskings and they took a month and a half from my purchase date to get to my house. They get shipped over from china. Also, there is no difference between the left and right side covers. Thats even noticeable in this video if you look closely. I wish I would have seen that initially. So on one side the wheel covers curve one direction, on the other side of the car they curve the opposite. The left and right sides are not appropriately mirrored. Kind of annoying. But if you don't mind that, they look good.
I like the ideea, but Tesskings shipping take 24 to 35 days ! Im not sure that i want to wait for that long
Yea they sold out super fast and they are backordered. Other styles are available sooner. These are just super popular
They look great. Only problem is they seem easy to curb. I'll keep the stock covers with plasti dip.
Yea, these stick out past the tire, so if you are close to the curb, that’s a risk
Do you have a link for these?

They're 199 now! Just ordered mine can't wait to put them on!
Did u get your wheels covers delivered ?
@@grkgopuram6453 yes they were delivered within 3 weeks of ordering!
How are these compared to the one sold in Amazon for 150-200? I found quite similar style with much cheaper price.
No clue about those ones. I only have handled these
Update on the ones from Amazon?
@@BeardedTeslaGuy any recommendations on removing it? I am scared to pull those directly
I would love those wheel covers.
They are really nice
Wish these caps would have been available when I got my MYLR! Better ride quality and definitely more options for tires are win win.
100%. Makes these a fantastic option
so i didn't put the tape around the edges is that going to be a problem? the OEM covers don't have tape edges and it doesn't appear to be scratching the rims?
as long as you dont remove them, it wont be a problem. As soon as you take them off, you will see they can scratch your wheels underneath if you dont have that tape on.
I have them but I noticed A big problem today. I can’t remove them now. The clips are so much harder than the originals!
Same. Anyone knows how to remove properly
hmm. They could be stiff I suppose. What I do is pull, gently, on a section of the spokes. Basically break it up into 5 sections and pull on one section at a time and it comes off.
What did you do? Did you manage to remove them?
The solution is to Jack up the car and take of the clips from behind the wheels.. it’s a very time consuming process but the only safe way!
@@aleksanderaskilsrud9025 Yeah i noticed. One of them broke…
looks like it might be difficult to actually get to the nozzle
Will these fit the 2024 y long range?
Yes
You continue to do God's work
