Thing is, the way Abby gave Kendall the 'correction', was a really harsh way , which may have upset Kendall's feelings. If Abby explained it more nicely, then maybe she would've remembered what correction to make and THEN have won.
Jill is my spirit animal. She has no problem putting people in their place! She is fiercely protective of her daughter and rightfully so. I think Kendall is a great dancer.
Maddie deserved her love and attention. Watch she consult Kendall before the dance 2:59. Whether she did it to comfort her partner, or if she simply wanted to win that trophy, either way she knew to put other thoughts behind and focus on her performance, it's something many kids or even adults couldn't manage to do.
