I think because for some dances the costume is essential, like when Abby did the waiting room the costuming made sense, if they wore random dresses it wouldn’t have had the same impact. Now for like random group dances the costume might not be as important

I’m glad Chloe’s mom just walked out in the end. She’s one of the only dance moms with common sense, instead of causing scenes and shouting at other moms about the smallest things, and insulting each other regarding their style. Hats off to her.

That’s what I thought.
But the producers don’t pick the costumes. Thats out of their control. Abby decides the costumes or the mothers get them custom made or make them themselves.

I think you’re underestimating what the producers will do to create drama on the show. They have a lot more power than you think. After all, they have everyone under a contract.
Just a quick edit that I thought I would add:
Yes, it seems that generally, the moms and/or abby are the ones picking out or reusing costumes. But there are certain times where it definitely seems like the producers had a hand in picking out the costumes, such as the Laquifa costume Nia wore.

The mom with the trash costume was really mature in that situation. Unlike the rest of the moms, she wasn’t yelling or making a big deal about it. She was stating that she didn’t want her child to get backlash about a costume, which is u understandable!

Eric Speth reality tv doesn’t mean that ever scene is genuine though. a lot of the interactions are prompted by producers and editing is used heavily to manipulate words.
@@morganwilson6567 Based on what everyone's said outside of this, at this point in the show Abby really was trying to get Chloe off the team but she found out she couldn't because of the show contracts.
So the reality is Abby didn't get along with Christi, Chloe by extension, the producers interfearence is the fact that they all actually had to keep working together.
I only started watching dance moms yesterday, and I'm already obsessed with the drama.

The thing is that the costume was like that because Abby said that her feet were ugly and also made pressley think that her body is ugly and that's why "she should hide it". Her mom just wanted her to understand that her daughter should not be afraid of her body and accept herself while Abby just wanted to create insecurities.
