Sprains hurt pretty bad. Usually worse than breaks but kids are resilient. It's important to remind them to rest. Especially dancers. I remember breaking my foot and spraining it but it didn't hurt that bad after the initial fall so my mom didn't take me to the doctor until I started hurting more two days later. That's how easy it is to walk on a broken and sprained foot. So, Mackenzie is doing easy cartwheels on her good foot. That doesn't mean she was lying! A doctor looked at it. And maybe she was relieved not to be in a demanding group dance that week. Again, she was still injured and Abby and her mom should have made sure she was resting. What's with all the questioning of an 8 year old kid?!

I was on a fracture for 2/3 weeks walking to and from work, around work, limping a lot (I was told it was just a 'sprain') before I threw up from pain killer poisioning and took myself to the hospital demanding to know why I was still in this much pain after that long. They were shocked that I was attempting to walk on it and were like "uh, yeah, this is fractured. Have a walking cast" and was supposed to be in it for only 2 weeks, but ended up being another 4.

When I sprained my ankle, I did the same thing. For me, I could land on it very softly. She may be able to do cartwheels (especially without landing on her foot) but dancing is just on a completely different level
