I already own the V50X. I was looking into the Brave 7 LE for the front screen, but this video makes me think it's not even worth it, because the image quality is so much worse.
Nice, short comparison. Except...I almost walked away thinking the Brave LE was the better camera. You started out with the Brave on the left and then switched them. After the second stream, all the good video was coming from the left (post swap) and I thought that side was still dedicated to the Brave. After reading the comments I watched it a second time and figured it out. I almost bought the wrong camera. Just a suggestion...you may want to keep the orientation from start to finish. Otherwise, thank you for the good video comparing the image stabilization and quality.
I was leaning towards the Brave 7 LE. But after seeing this video and some others regarding the V50x, it seems it is smoother with the stabilization, and has more visible details. I'm rarely going to need the audio for my final videos so I'm not too worried about the mic recording sound quality. This should do just fine video-wise for my 1080 60 FPS requirements. The V50x should pair up nicely with my older GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition.
V50X is really better in 4k than 1080p! it is such a pity people buy the v50x only to use it at 1080p thinking "it is a cheap camera and 1080p footage is good enough". If you want a 1080p action cam go get the EK7000 pro which is even cheaper than V50x and its 1080p footage IS gonna be superior to its 4k footage!
I just bought the 50x so i will see if making adjustments with the settings will tweak the camera I have both canon an panasonic dslrs . Settings if you are capable of setting compensation, as well as other setting syou know you can see big differences. I see the only difference in the quality is one video seems warmer and the other cooler but the video of both seem quite similar. As a new buyer to have small video camera I looked at various cameras on amazon, u tube it almost seems a couple manufacturers are making all the different cameras brandds since they pretty much have the same features, Having a tripod socket was very important to me and prevented me from buying a cheaper camera which had a plastic frame with the socket I like your video but so many different cameras in the same price range is crazy for buyers. I have not owned or used the go pro since I am probably not doing you tubing or blogging.
Thanks for that Ken it certainly made my mind up on which one to buy (V50X) Hello from the U.K. and you and your family keep safe in these uncertain times.
another great video. v50x by far in my opinion. so much more detail, contrast and overall better picture quality. the image stabilization has a smoother feel on the v50x when panning and doesn't have the laggy feel of the brave.
GD pm Ken, The 1st initial video footage, Brave 7 LE is in the left side of the screen, the succeeding video footage, the V50 is in the left side of the screen, which is which? It's decieving.
I have been teetering on the edge of getting the B7LE but the V50 picturre quality is superior. It seems Akaso cant put one camera together that has it all.
Would a v50x be a good option for a second view when self filming hunts. Basically main camera films the harvest and this films the bow shot looking at me while I shoot.
Good question. My brother n law is really big in to hurting. As a matter of fact, he and my 7 year old nephew are both hunters. I gave them a v50x to record their hunting and he said it was the biggest game changer for him. He take several pictures before and after and record everything lol. So to answer your question it would be perfect. My advice use the head mount for recording or a mini tripod.
@@techwithkenrobertson7439 appreciate the quick reply. You're channel has earned a sub for from me! My plan is to mount it looking at me while I shoot with the main camera on the deer. My only concern was low light but the price, & your videos, have me sold.

You must have messed up the settings on the Brave 7 cuz my 4k footage does not look like that at all. It looks a lot better than your footage of the v50x, crisp and beautiful.
@@techwithkenrobertson7439 yeah, low light is a big pain for me in these small cams because I use these to film training sessions and in the winter, light is an issue.

My V50X has never taken a picture on my phone in the Akaso app, only videos. I switch it to picture mode on the phone and press take a picture and it starts recording a video. Does anyone know the answer to how to fix this - or what I'm doing wrong - what I'm missing - is there a step there somewhere? I mean this is 10 days now I've never figured it out. I've tried setting the camera before turning on the Wi-Fi to the photos mode stuff like that; and also is there any way to get this wi-fi screen off of the Akaso itself and actually view what the camera is seeing regardless of the phone? I'm about to return this thing and I hate to do that.
Why does the brave which is more expensive look like shit? Is there an even better option than the akaso line up? Which go pro bracket is more comparable?

I just bought the Akaso V50X, i'm new in video and photo. Can you share your setting please? Because right now my Iphone 5 do better quality video and photo than my Akaso do. Thank You, good Video.
I most just shoot in the 4k @ 30 fps or 1080p @ 60 fps and use the auto settings. The only time I change settings is when its a cloudy day. The v50x has a cloudy settings. It's all about how you hold the action camera. You do all your color grading in post. Last make you use hevc 2.65.
Interesting comparison, thanks Ken. I will stick with my v50x for now. Apart from the audio it’s amazing for the price. I use it with my kids they batter it and still has a decent picture. I then also use it as a wide angle webcam. Perfect to get the whole family in for zoom calls in lockdown. So long as you have a different audio source😂 I am actually disappointed with the footage from the 7LE.
Hi Ken, Any latest news of firmware update on V50X? I remember you told that Akaso is planning for a new firmware update on July end / August 1s week. Have you had any further communication with Akaso staff?
