Very nice video. Informative and well done! The V50X was my favourite since the review and comparison between V50X and Brave 6 Plus but now I feel like the 6+ might be the way better choice. Now just looking up back to your reviews to see which one is usable in low light. Thanks for this video.
I will choose V50 for details /next for contrast/6 stabilization GoPro 9 work best but with $$$$ + Accessory + $$ HDMI adapter OR media MOD toooo many $$$$ I returned G buy A(just don’t have enough $ 50$ Vs 800$)
I feel 6+ capture more details in near objects. And v50x capture more details in objects which are placed away By comparing details in floors, trees, clouds, and the inclined roof and roofing patterns of that building
This is exactly what i realized also ! I look for a camera that i will place on my head while doing my Helicopter license V50x would-be perfect i think !
I went with the Brave 6+ for general outdoor use (hiking, MTB) and so far very satisfied. I had a hard time deciding between the 6+ and the 50x but decided to go with the 6+ since it is a newer model / newer release. Thanks for all of your videos. You are very dedicated. Very helpful!!

The brave6+ is the best camera among the three. I like its audio quality it sounds like it has a noise cancelling system that isolate the background noise so that you only hear your voice while talking. I loved also the image ang video quality of it than the brave7. And the electronic image stabilization is great so far even if you do a sudden movements.
Thank you!! Was about to get a Brave 7 to replace my V50 Pro, but I think I'll get the Brave 6 instead. Another review mentioned that although the 7 is the latest release, the 6 actually uses the newer technology! Amazing video, thank you
@@RedskullPro thanks for your review. I just subscribed to your channel. I have a question. Can I use a wireless external microphone for the Brave 6 Plus? If yes wich brand do you recommend. Thanks a lot!
From looking at the footage, the v50x seems to have the best dynamic range. Throughout this entire video, there were times when the sky was completely blown out on the 6 plus but perfectly legible on the v50x. I also found the footage on the v50x to be the best for 4k.
This is, the BEST video i have ever seen, you can del the difference, i all moments and inmediatly.excuse muy lenguaje,i am justo a spanish With bad spanish corrector.
Thank you Alex for putting out a comparison of the more popular AKASO variants (1) I thought that the BRAVE 7LE was designed towards vlogging with its front facing screen but the inability to connect an external microphone is a disappointment (2) I'm surprised that EIS quality of the BRAVE 6plus is better than the newer 7LE (3) I hope that AKASO will update the BRAVE 7LE firmware to fix the EIS issue and I'm NOT SURE if there is hope to connect an extermal microphone as well
I don't know, based off the samples you showed, I'd have given the win to the Brave v50x. Was the sharpest, temps looked good, had a good 4k30, best image stabilization. BUT what was going on with the Brave LE? IT was smoothing the crud out of everything and adding a gross yellow tint to your movies. I mean, I guess you could increase sharpness and whatnot, but out of the box, that's terrible.
Brave 7 LE is probably the worst of them in some aspects, V50X has the worst audio but you can fix this by buying a external mic, wich of course depending on the price can beat any action camera audio, unless if you have to use it underwater. By the way the quality is quite bad for a newer camera.. I think Brave 6P is the sweet spot, good mic, external support and good quality
Looks like the new Brave 7 LE have more crop image than the V50X(which is already crop compare to a GoPro FOV) ..since it's most recent model with higher price I'm expecting it to have wider FOV..unfortunately it's not..a great comparison btw mate, thanks from Malaysia 😎👍
That's a very good comparision between these 3 interesting actioncameras! V50X was good (except for sound!) at the time, but is getting 'old'. Had high hopes for the Brave 7 LE, but it really falls short of its sibbling the Brave 6 Plus, which also has the better colors imo between these 3 cameras.
If you look at the clouds on the 1080 videos they look sharper on the v50x to me. Thanks for reviewing these 3 together. I was leaning towards the 7 but now I am thinking I need to consider the 6 pro instead! Thanks again!
my opinion about akaso all type, for Eis : V50x Dynmic range: v50x color: brave 6 plus wide lens: brave 6 plus Lowlight: brave 6 plus Value for money: v50x u all can check my color grading using akaso v50x
Excellent comparison Alex. I really enjoy your reviews and comparisons. You've helped me decide on the Brave 6 Plus with the external microphone. Keep up the good work...
I got my V50x last year because of your recommendation and I'm now avoiding the Brave 7 LE. The screen is tempting but gonna pass on this. Wanted to say thank you x 10
akaso have started cheaping out on internals so the brave 7 probably left thier factory more recently. the 2023 version of the v50x records like a 20 dolar piece of hot garbage compared to the version1 model you appear to have
Hi there I like your Chanel and I subscribe from today ;) I’m looking for action camera for underwater videos ... I really don’t know which one to buy could you give me your opinion? I know go pro will do best but is expencive for me ... thank you !
Thanks for this, Your reviews are always well done and meticulous. You may have just sold me on the Brave 6 plus for a little e-biking this summer attached to my helmet.
Wow thats odd, I suppose when adding better built in mic quality and a front screen they had to sacrifice EIS. Maybe they would be able to fix it in a firmware update, but for now the Brave 6 Plus is my pick
If only the Brave 6 Plus had audio like The Brave 7 LE. I know because I have the Brave 6 Plus. does anyone know if Akaso has a firmware update for the Brave 6 Plus?
Does Akaso walk the walk of SJcam - every next model is more expensive but worse in terms of image quality and stabilisation? ) Just ordered V50X - best stab, colors, dynamic range and price, audio does not matter much for me.
Hello from Washington state. Thanks for another great video Alex. You never disappoint!! I've been waiting for the release of the Brave 7 LE and glad I did. I was originally going to purchase the brave 6 plus. Then I saw the first review of the 7 LE with dual screen, better audio, and weather proofing, I was sold. I'm glad I bought it when I did, I believe it will sell out fast. As for the EIS issues I believe a firmware upgrade will fix this and maybe a few other improvements. That's what upgrades do!! Thanks again... stay safe
Hey, thanks for watching. I am hoping they will add support for an external microphone as well. I remember when the V50X was released... it didn't support an external microphone and it was added through a software update
Would not purchase any of Akaso. A) All these budget cams, are produced in the same city in China, and undoubtedly the same building(Dragon, Akaso, Campark, Apeman, Victure, and VanTop). All have the same processors as comparable cameras of differing brands. The Akoso7LE processor is identical to Campark V40. the lenses are of Samsung, Sony, Panasonic. And all brands have similarities in looks, as they're designed by a single manufacturer reaping the profit of all brands. None are meant for true 4K filming. 1080/30fps, is about as the best clarity of the lot. 4K & anything above 60fps is too grainy, dark, at times over-exposed, and cheap looking. None are truly waterproof, which is why they come standard with a waterproof adapter. If ya have the funds, get a GoPro hero 5 (I prefer the model 7 & 9). As far as a camera for everyday filming/dashcam, they are quite reliable. And ya won't go into a rage, when it breaks or ya lose-it(as I left my Hero 8, on a frozen lake. Maybe in a thousand years...someone will discover it).
the colors on brave 7 looks a bit too green. i liked the color reproduction on v50x the best, and video looks much sharper on the v50x. the brave 6 looks brighter in low light conditions. but I think v50x is the best value for money in this comparasion.
Sir, your reviews are excellent. Every video has the same layout, so easy to flick between videos to compare sound, especially as they are time stamped. Keep up the good work 👏
Thank you so much for your Akaso videos. I use action cameras on my bmx bike doing serious street jumps, drops and such. I just bought the brave 6 plus a few days ago over the v50x. The stuff I do I must have camera in waterproof case, any and all action cameras. And, I have to have all metal connectors. The cases always end up breaking the plastic as some point in 6 months or so.
Great comparison, just what I was looking for. I got really confused by the Akaso product range because the prices are all about the same but the results are very different. I first wanted to buy the V50X Pro, then the Brave 7, but after this video I think I will settle for a 6 Plus plus a microphone. I am really surprised the video quality of the Brave 7 is so bad compared to the older Brave 6, you might know which chips the different camera's have inside because that could explain the video result.
Great comparison video! Thank you for doing that! Definitely agree that the Brave 6 is better. But I wish you tried different external microphones so I could see if it is possible to get improved audio for the Brave 6. I'll go check out the Brave 6 video to see if you did that.
It sounded like the Brave 7 LE had mic recording levels WAY above the other two. Now if its video was as good then it would have been an easy sell for me. So still looking for an inexpensive action cam with good video stabilization and also a good mic! Thanks to @Redskull for this great comparison! Also, any time you're doing reviews please always compare products side-by-side like you did for this vid! Thx!
Your videos are great Alex! I know this one is old but it's still a great option in 2024. My Akaso v50x melted in the sun while it was mounted to my car's rear view mirror so I bought a second one. I didn't have the new one mounted very well on the back of my motorcycle and it fell off to never be found again LOL. I need a camera that is capable of time lapse high-res photos and I've been using your videos to decide what is the best BUDGET option. Since the photo resolution of the Akasos are almost comparable to GoPro, I'll be buying another Akaso. I already have two DJI Action 3 cameras HOWEVER they're not capable of time lapse photos, only time lapse video at 4k, and photos catch license plates better than video. Here's what I've determined: Brave 6 Plus is better in these areas: Image stabilization A MUCH MORE secure USB cable port USB C instead of micro USB Capable of 1080 @ 90 FPS versus 60 FPS V50x is better at: Built-in tripod mount! Time lapse photos at 1/2 sec & above (Brave 6 Plus is at 1 sec & above) Both are comparable at: Still photo resolution at 20 MP 4K video @30fps 2.7K @60fps (v50x) is nearly the same resolution as 1440 @60fps (Brave 6 Plus) Both have a wireless remote Neither is great in dark areas
I was deciding between 7le which Amazon has on sale and the 6 plus. I like the 6 plus but it never seems to go on sale. I may buy a used GoPro instead.
Great stuff man. V50x is my choice as i didnt find the 6plus on amazon to deliver to my country. Could you pls help me with which mic to purchase with the v50x to get better sound quality on my motorbike rides. Cheers!
Hey alex, greetings from israel. I really like your vids, go on with your good job. I wanted to ask what is your opinion, im looking for action cam suitable for mountain bike riding, cam with real good image stabilization. 1.vantop moment 5c. 2.xtu s3. 3.akaso brave 6 plus. Or maybe should go and buy gopro 7 black. Thank you.
Great stuff man. V50x is my choice as i didnt find the 6plus on amazon to deliver to my country. Could you pls help me with which mic to purchase with the v50x to get better sound quality on my motorbike rides. Cheers!
i agree with u about the the brave 6 plus is the best but the exposure or dynamic range can be bad like the sky at 8.05, 8.53(but the tree looks great..not dark)n 5.52(the sky was blown but the trees not dark) ..v50x sky was very nice😍...is it because of the autofocus or something?....
whats the max sd card size u tried to use for Brave 6? bought a new edition Brave 6 PRO. manufacture said 128gb max. but i want to know if it could support higher storage.
v50x is so weird. It looks like it captures more details (like the sky or the trees). But at the same time, a lot of the details look mush (like the rocks / bricks on the ground).

That 7LE sucks hard ?? what is going on ??
I actually feel the v50x has more dynamic range, especially when you compare how much detail there is in the clouds and the sky between the three

Nice observation
but it lost details in the trees at the same time that it gave more detail in the clouds
I think the screen on the front of the brave 7 LE is just a cover-up for the image quality.
You are 100% correct
what did you mean??
awesome realization and my thoughts exactly

Great comparison video! Thank you for doing that! Definitely agree that the Brave 6 is better. But I wish you tried different external microphones so I could see if it is possible to get improved audio for the Brave 6. I'll go check out the Brave 6 video to see if you did that.
The only external microphone that works with it is the one made by akaso. Unfortunately I didn't get one so I couldn't try it out
It sounded like the Brave 7 LE had mic recording levels WAY above the other two. Now if its video was as good then it would have been an easy sell for me. So still looking for an inexpensive action cam with good video stabilization and also a good mic! Thanks to @Redskull for this great comparison! Also, any time you're doing reviews please always compare products side-by-side like you did for this vid! Thx!
i have the brave 7 le and it have saturated colors :c
I am indonesian.thanks for your compare about akaso.i wait new video other action cam up to date.thanks
The 6+ looks like is has the clearest picture
Excellent comparison of three affordable action cameras! Peace
Thanks for stopping by Scott!
Here's what I've determined:
Brave 6 Plus is better in these areas:
Image stabilization
A MUCH MORE secure USB cable port
USB C instead of micro USB
Capable of 1080 @ 90 FPS versus 60 FPS
V50x is better at:
Built-in tripod mount!
Time lapse photos at 1/2 sec & above (Brave 6 Plus is at 1 sec & above)
Both are comparable at:
Still photo resolution at 20 MP
4K video @30fps
2.7K @60fps (v50x) is nearly the same resolution as 1440 @60fps (Brave 6 Plus)
Both have a wireless remote
Neither is great in dark areas
Alex, what do you think about v50x when used underwater, is image quality underwater good enough?
These cameras both junk!
Cheers!
Both v50x and 6 plus videos appear to look far sharper and better than brave 7 Le
Hey alex, greetings from israel.

I wanted to ask what is your opinion, im looking for action cam suitable for mountain bike riding, cam with real good image stabilization.

i agree with u about the the brave 6 plus is the best but the exposure or dynamic range can be bad like the sky at 8.05, 8.53(but the tree looks great..not dark)n 5.52(the sky was blown but the trees not dark) ..v50x sky was very nice😍...is it because of the autofocus or something?....
What’s is the best FPS picture quality to use while on my motorcycle around town on v50x ?
💯👍👍
Thanks for checking out the video!
whats the max sd card size u tried to use for Brave 6? bought a new edition Brave 6 PRO. manufacture said 128gb max. but i want to know if it could support higher storage.
v50x is so weird. It looks like it captures more details (like the sky or the trees). But at the same time, a lot of the details look mush (like the rocks / bricks on the ground).
Stabilize for me v50
