Thank you!! Was about to get a Brave 7 to replace my V50 Pro, but I think I'll get the Brave 6 instead. Another review mentioned that although the 7 is the latest release, the 6 actually uses the newer technology! Amazing video, thank you
The brave6+ is the best camera among the three. I like its audio quality it sounds like it has a noise cancelling system that isolate the background noise so that you only hear your voice while talking. I loved also the image ang video quality of it than the brave7. And the electronic image stabilization is great so far even if you do a sudden movements.
@@RedskullPro thanks for your review. I just subscribed to your channel. I have a question. Can I use a wireless external microphone for the Brave 6 Plus? If yes wich brand do you recommend. Thanks a lot!
From looking at the footage, the v50x seems to have the best dynamic range. Throughout this entire video, there were times when the sky was completely blown out on the 6 plus but perfectly legible on the v50x. I also found the footage on the v50x to be the best for 4k.

Hello from Washington state. Thanks for another great video Alex. You never disappoint!! I've been waiting for the release of the Brave 7 LE and glad I did. I was originally going to purchase the brave 6 plus. Then I saw the first review of the 7 LE with dual screen, better audio, and weather proofing, I was sold. I'm glad I bought it when I did, I believe it will sell out fast. As for the EIS issues I believe a firmware upgrade will fix this and maybe a few other improvements. That's what upgrades do!! That's a very good comparision between these 3 interesting actioncameras! V50X was good (except for sound!) at the time, but is getting 'old'. Had high hopes for the Brave 7 LE, but it really falls short of its sibbling the Brave 6 Plus, which also has the better colors imo between these 3 cameras.
Thanks for this, Your reviews are always well done and meticulous. You may have just sold me on the Brave 6 plus for a little e-biking this summer attached to my helmet.
Your videos are great Alex! I know this one is old but it's still a great option in 2024. My Akaso v50x melted in the sun while it was mounted to my car's rear view mirror so I bought a second one. I didn't have the new one mounted very well on the back of my motorcycle and it fell off to never be found again LOL. It sounded like the Brave 7 LE had mic recording levels WAY above the other two. Now if its video was as good then it would have been an easy sell for me. So still looking for an inexpensive action cam with good video stabilization and also a good mic! Thanks to @Redskull for this great comparison! I first wanted to buy the V50X Pro, then the Brave 7, but after this video I think I will settle for a 6 Plus plus a microphone. I am really surprised the video quality of the Brave 7 is so bad compared to the older Brave 6, you might know which chips the different camera's have inside because that could explain the video result.
This was amazing! Well done! Thank you so much! This was the best comparison video I have ever seen! The only thing missing for me was understanding cables, input / output, etc.
Awesome video sir, thanks for posting. I'm about to buy an Akaso action cam for my own RUclips channel and this is the comparison I needed to make a decision! I think I'm going to splurge a tiny bit for the Brave 6 Plus. Just one question though: in those videos towards the end, were those all taken on the same day? I'm seeing clouds and blue sky on the V50X, whereas the Brave 6 Plus is capturing gray sky...
That's the difference in their performance...v50x is good in capturing distant objects...while 6 plus is good for close range objects..I hope it makes sense
I don't know, based off the samples you showed, I'd have given the win to the Brave v50x. Was the sharpest, temps looked good, had a good 4k30, best image stabilization. BUT what was going on with the Brave LE? IT was smoothing the crud out of everything and adding a gross yellow tint to your movies. I mean, I guess you could increase sharpness and whatnot, but out of the box, that's terrible.
Thank you sir for your comparison video...this help me a lot to decide which action camera to choose...please do more comparison video like this next time yeah...

Thanks for these reviews, really good content.
my opinion about akaso all type, for Eis : V50x Dynmic range: v50x color: brave 6 plus wide lens: brave 6 plus Lowlight: brave 6 plus Value for money: v50x u all can check my color grading using akaso v50x
Great stuff man. V50x is my choice as i didnt find the 6plus on amazon to deliver to my country. Could you pls help me with which mic to purchase with the v50x to get better sound quality on my motorbike rides. Cheers!
Brave 7 LE is probably the worst of them in some aspects, V50X has the worst audio but you can fix this by buying a external mic, wich of course depending on the price can beat any action camera audio, unless if you have to use it underwater. By the way the quality is quite bad for a newer camera.. I think Brave 6P is the sweet spot, good mic, external support and good quality
Wow thats odd, I suppose when adding better built in mic quality and a front screen they had to sacrifice EIS. Maybe they would be able to fix it in a firmware update, but for now the Brave 6 Plus is my pick
Seen several of your video comparisons and the main problem with the Akaso over the gopro is that although the image quality is very impressive given the price, the build quality is inconsistent with them. In another video of the V50x the image stabilisaton was really good but not so much with this one. Same issue seems to affect the mic on them
Looking at your videos you always sway towards getting the 6+. Would you recommend this for pov vlogging? And also what is the maximum micro sd it can hold? Thanks!
a tip is use a tripod that you hold at two ends. when one camera is in the middle on a middle tripod its less likely to shake as extreme as those on the other ends. hope you get what i mean.
The 6Plus looks like a good buy. External mic support is pretty important to me since I'd rather not record audio on a separate device when I recorded rock climbing with my friends
Does Akaso walk the walk of SJcam - every next model is more expensive but worse in terms of image quality and stabilisation? ) Just ordered V50X - best stab, colors, dynamic range and price, audio does not matter much for me.

I wanted to ask what is your opinion, im looking for action cam suitable for mountain bike riding, cam with real good image stabilization. 1.vantop moment 5c. 2.xtu s3. 3.akaso brave 6 plus. Or maybe should go and buy gopro 7 black. Thank you.
Nice review. Akaso v50X wins again :) Why? Well because brave 6 is an Akaso v50x with a better firmware and a different case. The Brave 7 is a very interesting cam cause of the front screen but it needs a huge firmware upgrade ASAP. They must improve the video quality, EIS and the sound. To be honest i was expecting more from the Brave 7.

By the way the quality is quite bad for a newer camera.. I think Brave 6P is the sweet spot, good mic, external support and good quality
Yeah, the Brave 6 Plus is better in every way :)
Brave 6 Plus is the clear winner. Smoother EIS and better image detail than the other two.
Wow thats odd, I suppose when adding better built in mic quality and a front screen they had to sacrifice EIS. Maybe they would be able to fix it in a firmware update, but for now the Brave 6 Plus is my pick
I personally had super high expectations for this camera...but as you said the brave 6 plus is better
I am indonesian.thanks for your compare about akaso.i wait new video other action cam up to date.thanks
I want to buy one of these for vlogging when I go somewhere, those 3 camera look so good but I don’t know what to pick
Buy a GoPro 7 or 8 instead
Great reviews. What do you find is the best action camera for actual stabilization and recording in low light?
Neither does good in low light...
@@RedskullPro Thanks much
Was waiting for this comparison video.. love from India 🇮🇳
It's available in India?
@@naharmanas181 you can try banggood
Seen several of your video comparisons and the main problem with the Akaso over the gopro is that although the image quality is very impressive given the price, the build quality is inconsistent with them. In another video of the V50x the image stabilisaton was really good but not so much with this one. Same issue seems to affect the mic on them
This very possible! I've noticed some differences as well with the same model camera
7 Le for Internal Mic,6 plus for Image and Video Quality,Stabilization and Wide Angle For MTBiking
Hi Alex! i am always following your video comparison between action cameras... can you try this time the Akaso V50 Pro vs Akaso Brave 7LE
Hi, I'm not sure if I'll get to that too soon
Looking at your videos you always sway towards getting the 6+. Would you recommend this for pov vlogging? And also what is the maximum micro sd it can hold? Thanks!
Great camera comprision as always Alex
for mountain biking with a lot of bumps and wind which one do you recommend..??
clearly brave6plus is on the go !!
greate review.
agreed, probably the best Akaso camera
I'm from Indonesia, I really like your video.
Thanks for watching!
most important point you missed low light video recording like in night in day light any camera will perform good
Nice comparison, but many record videos inside too, family gatherings, lower light, night time, restaurants, etc. This comparison would be helpful.
Don't bother recording anything inside with any action cameras. Super bad quality videos on all including the GoPro 7,8,9
Great review, certainly has a Gopro look about it which I like. I'm currently using a CamparkX25 and this looks like a good upgrade. Many thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Nice video 🙏 One question, which software do you use for the video after works? Thanks
Hi, I use Final Cut Pro X to put the videos together
Very good review. Thank you!
My present EK7000PRO are saving the files in MOV-format. Is the Brave 6 plus using the same container?
I honestly don't remember... if I remember to check when I turn on the computer I will reply to this comment.
a tip is use a tripod that you hold at two ends. when one camera is in the middle on a middle tripod its less likely to shake as extreme as those on the other ends. hope you get what i mean.
The 6Plus looks like a good buy. External mic support is pretty important to me since I'd rather not record audio on a separate device when I recorded rock climbing with my friends
Yeah, I think the 6 Plus is the best option
V50x supports external mic too
Alex, what do you think about v50x when used underwater, is image quality underwater good enough?
Does Akaso walk the walk of SJcam - every next model is more expensive but worse in terms of image quality and stabilisation? ) Just ordered V50X - best stab, colors, dynamic range and price, audio does not matter much for me.
Haha, seems like it! I'm supposed to get the SJCAM SJ10 Pro soon...I wonder how that will be
Thanks Alex, you did a great job 👍🏼
Glad you liked it!
First and Foremost - AWESOME Video - I myself would have to pick the Brave 6 Plus due to the fact it outperformed the other models.
good choice!
I am getting the 6. Thanks!
Do you still recommend brave 6 plus in 2022? For you what's the best Akaso camera excluding the brave 8?
Hi there I like your Chanel and I subscribe from today ;) I’m looking for action camera for underwater videos ... I really don’t know which one to buy could you give me your opinion? I know go pro will do best but is expencive for me ... thank you !
Very nice video and Informative. I have shortlisted Brave 6+. But need to compare brave 6+ with V50 Elite and V50 Pro SE. Can you please guide which one is best among 3 action cameras. Thank You :)
I never tried the v50 pro se so I can't say, but if you want good EIS i am certain the the brave 6 plus will be the best one
Brave 6 + do a great job! awesome IS system. That's enough for MTB.
Totally agree!
I used it for mtb as well and I am satisfied with the video quality.
Hey alex, greetings from israel.
I really like your vids, go on with your good job.
It help me to make my decision.
I think we were all expecting more
thanks for video ! i have choise the akasso brave Le and 1 other thanks you
Great comparison, that helped me to choose!
Glad I could help!
V50X with the best natural look!😮
