- Axosoft employees take turns driving the Tesla for a week. Though if you just got a Tesla Model 3, you might find this helpful too. The video covers all the essentials, from how to setup your mirrors, to opening the glove box, to turning on autopilot.
This is a great video. My son left his Tesla 3 at my house while he was on a business trip. He said I could use the car and handed me the key and jumped in an uber and left for the airport. I had no idea how to start and use the car. Your video gave me all the info I needed to be able to use it. Thanks!

Brah brah brah......my 10 year old son left his Lamborghini on my couch after his mom came to pick him up and he told me that I could play it till he gets back 😅😂

Renting one tomorrow on Turo. How do you charge it before returning?

POV: you got a rental 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Day 1 of the Tesla 3. The learning curve was flattened by the straightforward knowledge offered up in a kind, polite, encouraging way that are non-negotiables for a Tesla driver to know. I look forward to taking my fresh acquired knowledge to the road! And to the person that created this video, you have a gift. Thank you for teaching.

Great information 😀👍 super chill like a episode of Mr rodger neighborhood I love it
Great video. I'm getting my M3 in three days and was wondering about real life driving. This vid answered it all for me. Thanks!
I feel so weird seeing it called an M3...
@@flashy91100 Understood! I was being lazy and got carried away with "short hand".
T3!
But thats tesla in video not bmw 🤦♂️🤦♂️

I just bought my model 3 and I’m rewatching every video on it like I don’t know how they operate. I’ve wanted one for years!! Good video!!
A perfect introduction to the model 3!!! Thank you!

Thank you very much. You explained most of the basics of the operation in very simple and calm way that makes it easy to underhand. I just received my new model y and this helps much. Thanks again
my neighbor asks me for help to pick her new tesla car from the showroom. this video gave me a good idea to drive it safely.
I have to watch this 2 times to make sure I had it cause I’m going to be driving my first telsa tomorrow for a week here in Orlando
Thank you I was nervous cause I’ve driven anything like it
How was it
its cool and all and id get one, but im a little old school, all that touchscreen stuff; you cant beat old fashioned stick, clutch and eyes on the road. Now I know why the astronauts said they did miss having manual switches after they trained to fly the Dragon capsule.
You also can’t beat the speed of a Tesla. These outperform BMWs and Dodges. It would feel weird without having a gear shifter knob. But having a car that avoids accidents and is cheaper to drive more miles. I’d go Tesla all day. That being said I’ll have two cars if I could. One Tesla and another a luxury SUV either Lexus or BMW.
I thought the same, but the accident rate is about one in 5 million miles on the road. So eyes on the road seems to be antiquated thinking.
I feel the same way with parallel parking. Someday they'll invent the time machine and my skills will be in demand again.
@@jeffweingrad4658 we'll be rich! 👊🏽
I just bought one used. Thanks for making this video.
Can’t wait for mine
Good to know
Wow thanks super helpful. I have or. To rent in a weeks time and wasn’t expecting the system to be anything like this very informative. Will be rewatching possibly two more times next week to be sure. I got it memorized
same here! Hertz' lowest priced cars are the Tesla Model 3's and being the cheap person that i am forces me now to learn this new tech
I don't even have a tesla lol
Me neither 😂 it’s just my dream car so I watch Tesla videos for fun

I booked a Tesla 3 on my next trip to Los Angeles next month and need this tutorial because never been in a Tesla before.
This is the best tutorial on RUclips.
great content, I'm about to get my model 3 in a few months. thanks for the tutorial.
Omg thank you so much for this video! Thinking to rent one for my partner’s birthday and started getting nervous thinking about it’s functions. I’ll be sure to reference this video if I’m in need!! You made it so easy to learn!
This has helped me so much. I will be renting one soon and had no idea what i was getting into.
I am blown away by Tesla not because it’s an EV, but because of its engineering which I am still scratching my head over. How did he come up with that? Tesla is well ahead of its time. BTW tearing something apart and knowing aha “this is Tesla engine” is extremely easy and designing it to begin with is extremely hard. Well, interesting I am not even talking about the “smart” features.
This video was perfect! Even tho my model is newer so the center console was different haha but I’m gonna make my Turo renters watch this before renting
I just wanna share I bought the newly released yoke steering wheel, I know where can you get it. they offer an affordable price with a great discount and fast transaction 👏
Thank you! I am taking an M3 delivery tomorrow, was nervous if i could make a 40 miles drive home. After watching your work, I think I should be able to.
I will get my car tomorrow, so lucky to find this video. thank you so much, it helps me a lot
Thank you so much for this video. I rarely drive the Tesla to pick up the roommate from the airport. This gives me the extra confidence to use the car, as I don't touch it otherwise.
Thank you so much!!! Worked like a charm and I’m so glad you made this video!!
This video was really helpful, thank you! I just rented a 2023 model 3 from Sixt today 👌👌
Im about to go test drive, really excited! Thanks for the video
BEST FIRST GUIDE EVER!! SO COOL MY FRIEND!!! KEEP DOING MORE! LETS GO!
My husband left the car and said I should drive it, I’ve only ever driving a stick 😂 I was so confused 😅 but this video helped a lot 😊thanks
Thanks for this informative vid!! I was so scared of renting this car. After watching I think I am taking the chance of driving it!!🙌🙌🙌
Thank you, I’m having soo much fun driving this amazing car
A thing of beauty! Can't wait to get one of my own!
Cool! That's all i need to know. Thank you..
the better way to open the charge thing is just to push the button on the charger it self
Driving my friends Tesla for the first time tomorrow…😮 Thanks
I’m renting one this weekend. This is a life saver 🤙🏽
Going on a test drive soon. So pumped
Very good instructional video. Thanks
Your video is very reassuring! Some videos I saw were overwhelming lol I like the pace of your videos, thank you for sharing!
need this to sneak out tonight!!
Thanks, I will be renting one Saturday from Turo. This helped me know a bit more.
love this video, upcoming friday i will be getting my tesla model 3 , and this is very helpful, thanks!
Test driving my first Tesla tomorrow. Thanks
I love it that you say you "hit the gas to go forward!" Nope! This is an EV. No gas involved here. You press the accelerator!
Yeah, the gas.
*Throttle*
Technically it's a potentiometer. That goes for nearly all new cars, not just Tesla
@@mrgotek8773 EVs also don't have throttles.
All the things I needed to know! Thank you🙌🏽
So you just get in it and it’s already on? Lol
Planning on renting one for the weekend, not the biggest fan of touch controls for temp, volume and specifically wipers and lights, but an interesting tutorial.
Thanks for your time
Great short and informative! Good job!
Fantastic, very helpful
Very informative,Thank you :) bought Red model 3
Duuuuuude I could have used this on my birthday 21jul22 rented a Model 3 from Hertz (lax)…so much fun…peace
Thank you so much for this video. One of the best out there.
Good introduction to the topic. Not long and to the point.
Thanks this helped a lot I just bought 1 and I was confused
I really like the tutorial, however in my opinion because this is a tutorial video, you could get away with the background music. I had a really hard time focusing on what you were saying because of the BGM. Thank you for understanding and great work educating people.
I totally agree. Music = Only reason I didn't give the video a thumbs up.
Great video. Appreciate the tutorial. So excited for my 3.
I just wanna share I bought the newly released yoke steering wheel, I know where can you get it. they offer an affordable price with a great discount and fast transaction 👏
Great vid! If someone has a little extra money and wants to ship a Tesla my way, I’d be very grateful.
Just press the button on the charger and your charge port will open automatically. Try not to push or pull on the motorized door, you may damage it.

Thank you! Renting one today and I wouldn't have known how to even get in. Or out.
Shouldve watched this before renting it lmaooo, o well i got to drive it anyway but takes a bit of getting used to, but now ill feel more confident! THANKS
Thanks, this was helpful.
Nice vid tutorial!
Really useful content. Thank you!
My Toyota RAV4, also has a setting where you have to get the hand on the steering wheel most of the time, I think, or maybe I just do that because it's what I'm comfortable with.
You get around 10 seconds of freedom, then it’ll beep at you. There is after market software you can purchase that will substantially upgrade the semi autonomous system.

About to rent this beast
Thank u-it’s a bit overwhelming for first timer’s
So thank you for posting the video, you have a lot of useful information in there for beginners, I’m not a beginner, as I’ve had my Model 3 for over 2 years now, but what struck me in your video was that when you went to charge your car, you seem to try & force the charge port door open by pulling up on it, but when you unplugged from the vehicle, you used the button on the cord side to release the plug from the vehicle, which is the appropriate thing to do! So here’s my question, why didn’t you use that button on the cord side to open the Charge port at the beginning of the charging session, which is the appropriate way to do that! Now I think that charge port is made out of pretty sturdy material, but I wouldn’t want to cause damage to it by trying to force it open the way you did! I would simply use the touchscreen or my phone depending on the situation & the other way you can open the Charge port, is to simply gently tap on it & it should open & if it doesn’t open I would probably have Tesla check it out & see if there’s a problem with the sensor, so I have never had my Charge port fail to open when I use the button on the power cord to unlock it when I charge my car at a Tesla supercharger! So I just wanted to point that out to make sure that owners of these vehicles aren’t misled in thinking this is an appropriate way to open the charge port, so don’t try & manually force the charge port open, unless you wanna blow your money getting it repaired!
I just wanna share I bought the newly released yoke steering wheel, I know where can you get it. they offer an affordable price with a great discount and fast transaction 👏
One of these days🤞
7:09 the flap is a magnet, close it till you feel the magnetic force acting upon it then release it
Very insightful. Thanks
The square steering wheel for tesla is perfect 👌😁 i know where can you get it in a fair price 🤩
Greet job I understand everything good job aigain
Now they've fixed the centre console issue👍
Now I know how Mr Sulu felt as he piloted the starship Enterprise
Why does everything need to be electronic, there is no need for the glovebox to be electronic.
Well just incase I have to drive one one day. Nice
I don't own an EV but I was curious if all charging stations work with teslas or do car manufacturers have there own unique charging heads/ports?
Hey Ryan, when Deadpool 4 coming out? 🤣🤣🤣 lol good tutorial
So my parents test drove the 2021 version of the model 3 and the USB ports at the back were USB C ports. I don’t know why I said that. Why not I guess
Thanks. Suggest you inhibit the background music which only makes your narration more difficult to pick out.
I totally agree. Music = Only reason I didn't give the video a thumbs up.
One thing you opened the charge port wrong it is supposed to be powered
Great video!
I'm a valet driver, so I just needed a quick how to lol
That's good that Tesla charges a "late fee" for not retrieving the car once its charged at a supercharger. That was one of my big concerns with the limited amount of chargers and how long it takes to charge, that one @$$hole that leaves his car occupying the charger even though he's done while everyone else is waiting on him to move his car.
I'm honestly confused about the superchargers. Do they charge you for staying in there and waiting for the car to get charged and charge you every minute or do they just charge you when you are full?
I can't buy a tesla because it's not available so I can't see this myself
@@ahmed4363 So it depends on the state or country you’re in, e.g. in the US different states charge electrical rates differently, for instance in the state I live in they charge you by the kilowatt hour & some states, by the minute! So the rate at which electric rates in a particular state will vary depending on how that state charge for the use of electricity! So depending on the particular state in the US you will be charged based on that states requirements! So when you use a Tesla supercharger network you simply release the power cord connector & plug it in to your car & either get back in your car or walk away, as your car will immediately start to charge & you are billed to the credit card Tesla got from you, at the time you purchased your car, it’s also used to pay for purchases you make from shop Tesla‘s online store & to pay for repairs when you use their mobile service unit! So the lingering charges are assessed minute to minute, if you decide to walkaway from your car, say to go get something to eat & you get prompted by the car that it has stopped charging & you fail to retrieve your vehicle, once the vehicle has stopped charging, then those lingering charges are activated! So I hope this has answered your question!
@@theodorehaskins3756 ah thank you so much

Does it get distracting having to use a screen for most of the functions? I feel like it could cause an accident. Just curious, I’m considering getting a Tesla model 3
