    About choosing a Supercharger stall: there are some Superchargers that do not have the typical 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B stall arrangement. Buckeye, AZ is arranged 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 1B, 2B, 3B, 4B. So if you park four spots down from another car, you'll be sharing power. I have no idea why they wouldn't make all stations the same (as if it wasn't confusing enough to new owners) but you want to actually look at the labels and choose a unique number.

    @harrisong3751 5 лет назад +75

    These were great, one other I would add is to turn off autopilot you can push the right stalk up instead of pushing the brakes or pulling the steering wheel hard. Most reviewers who don't own a Tesla will swerve the car to exit instead of this method

    • @LoanwordEggcorn
      @LoanwordEggcorn 5 лет назад +14

      Right stalk up will cancel Autopilot. Right stalk down will confirm lane changes, and also signal that the driver is still there. (No need to move the wheel that way to confirm you're still paying attention.)

    • @brantwedel
      @brantwedel 5 лет назад +8

      I was stopped at a stoplight once, and decided to take a turn. I had a habit of disengaging AP from the stalk in that situation before a turn. But this time AP wasn't engaged, so it went into reverse, then I immediately accelerated before noticing ... almost hit the car behind me, lol

    • @LoanwordEggcorn
      @LoanwordEggcorn 5 лет назад +10

      @@brantwedel Yes, that's one possible problem with using the shifter stalk for Autopilot. However it's probably wisest to not use Autopilot at all on city streets. It's not designed for that. It's designed for fully divided roads like highways. In other words disengage Autopilot on the highway offramp, or earlier.
      It's very important to use tools as they're intended. :)

    • @tedhu262
      @tedhu262 5 лет назад +2

      A.P. is best for highways. For local streets, turn on TACC and steer yourself. Best of both worlds

    • @croninsiglos9855
      @croninsiglos9855 5 лет назад +5

    Kim, if you have your work address plugged into the Tesla and you're leaving home, when you swipe down from the Nav, it will take you to work, vice versa, when leaving work, if you swipe down it will take you home, but you mentioned that feature already.

    • @bW9taeH4
      @bW9taeH4 4 года назад +1

      The video mentioned the home part, not the work part. If you are home, pulling down will take you to work.
      The catch is that if you are shopping a mile from home, see traffic, and want to use the navigator to figure out which way to get back home, pulling down will navigate you to work. It's not strictly true that doing it away from home will get you home.
      Presumably, they are assuming that I might park a mile from home, walk to my car from the house, and want to drive to work. Or something that absurd.

    Good tips! Here's another one for you:
    The media screen has multiple levels of display you can set it to by dragging the title bar up or down. Instead of reaching and dragging the title bar you can swipe up and down on the music icon at the bottom. This lets you adjust the display without reaching as far.
    Also, as a shortcut to close out of most apps, such as car settings and return to the default navigation view, you can touch anywhere in the white space around the car avatar on the left side. This is a shorter reach than touching the close button in the settings screens.

    The nav swipe also works when swiping to the right. And to my knowledge, the engaging of the Autopilot while stationary only works when there is a car in front of you. And regarding the supercharger layout, not all of them are 1A,1B,2A,... some are 1A,2A,3A,1B,2B... Just look at the stall number to be sure (but mostly you are right)

      A lot of people are reporting that the left turn signal behaves strangely. In my case, when I push the turn signal stalk down half way to only signal left three blinks, it stays on as if I had pressed the stalk all the way down. This only happens for me when signaling left.

    When talking about ideally not parking next to someone at superchargers, it’s worth clarifying that 1A and 1B stalls for example are not necessarily always next to each other. Also, none of this applies to urban chargers.

    • @rogerheuckeroth7456
      @rogerheuckeroth7456 5 лет назад +4

      Its also worth mentioning that if you are in A and someone pulls into B, it does not effect your charging speed. The system gives "first serve" priority to the first car to make sure they get charged and on their way. B will be limited to the remaining capacity (B = 120 kw - A. This is something that many people don't realize. I had one person get upset that I was going to slow her charge down because I pulled into the other half (all others were full). I assured her that her car has priority because it was there first. I'm not sure she believed me.

      Tesla is the best idea from a chimp ever 👍👍 An electric car will be responsible throughout its life for CO2 emission: from manufacture, supply and use, to recycling of the parts. Manufacturing batteries involves the use of a great deal of energy and often creates a lot of pollution.

    • @ItsKimJava

      That is just to put it into park, vs engaging the “parking brakes” which would be good if you are parking on a steep hill.

      @teslacult1379 5 лет назад +2

      Like Tesla But when you put to park you hear the parking brakes engaging. So once it’s put to park the parking brakes automatically come on. Why would there be a need to press and hold. I get it if your trying to use that feature in neutral but not after you put to park. I think what’s that doing is releasing the parking brakes
