Also, might the card behind the cup holder move or slip off, while you're driving, and stop the car? The recap at the end was useful. Thanks for this 😊
When you push the button in and put the car in park, is that the equivalent of putting the handbrake on? So you can then take your foot off the brake pedal? I'm going for my first ever test drive soon!! 😊
Thanks for the video. I have the 2023 model Y LR and really enjoy driving the vehicle. I have never tried this, but will the vehicle move if you don't have your seat belt on??? Going to try this tomorrow or the next day. I always put on the seatbelt before selecting Drive. You will have to do another one of these videos in the future for the people that have the Highlands with no stalks. Everything should be similar except for turn signals and selecting the gears from the display. Take care.
That's for the comment. Congrats on getting yours, it's a big lifestyle change. Yes you drive without seat belt but there's a warning sign that keeps ringing
Thank you for the video. I’m renting one through Hertz soon. Do you have to hold the card or can it just be on your person? If you have to hold it that seems inconvenient. Same question for inside the car. Can the card remain in your wallet and of not have you ever had the card slide off the console?
Hey @ratboyce, great question. Yes you have to hold the card for a few seconds both outside and inside. If you use your card on the outside then you don't need to add the leave the card near the cup holder again. If you just do it on the outside you press the breaks and the car get's activated. I always leave mine in my wallet.
What is missing in your demonstration, despite the fact that you do show how one gets in easily, is the demonstration of positioning the driver's seat according to leg and arm length and your personal height. Following that, adjusting the steering wheel position and rearview mirrors is also missing. This should all be fine-tuned for the driver before he/she starts driving his/her new car for the very first time. For optimal comfort and safety. Besides, how one gets into a car as a driver has already been learned during driving lessons before one takes a driving test and obtains his or her drivers license.
Hello, possibly your question was meant sarcastically. If not, your question is rather baffling, although it is understandable what led you to your question: Opening the windows because it is hot in the car, while saying nothing about the presence of AC, may well give the impression that a Tesla Model 3 would not have AC. However, I don't think there have been any new cars from any brand on the market without AC for at least five years. AC has been standard in all cars for years, and certainly in 100% electric cars. Or very briefly, there are no Tesla's without AC at all.
OMG thanks for this, renting one for a road trip and it’s my first experience with Tesla!!! Got some confidence after watching !!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Same! I’m so nervous…let me watch
Thanks for vetting
Yes, thanks for the easy, quick, & concise instructions. Almost felt like I was downloading a pilot program for a B 212 helicopter.
*_TRUST !!_*
Same omg getting a rental today first time driving one
My car didn’t start this morning and there’s a Tesla to rent for a few days near me and this video helped so much! Thanks.
Glad it helped! That’s unfortunate what happened to your car. Hope you enjoyed the Tesla
I'll be in LA next week and I'm renting a Tesla to see if I like it. Great video...thanks!
You’re welcome, hope you enjoy it! LA is great
Why would you be in LA? Death wish? Where next nyc lol
Thanks, mate! I'll be renting a Tesla for my trip to Florida in February and that was really helpful!
Great video! I'm renting one this weekend. This was very helpful
Enjoy it, let me know what you think!
Also, might the card behind the cup holder move or slip off, while you're driving, and stop the car?
The recap at the end was useful.
Thanks for this 😊
You only need to tap the card to start the car, once the Tesla is activated you can remove the card.
Thanks for the feedback and great question
@@HowToKeepMoreThanks for your replies. Really useful!
Thanks, I was confused how to enter and exit my legs from the vehicle.
yup I understand, I always go in with 1 foot first and then sit, then bring 2nd foot inside. Same thing when leaving 1 foot at a time
hope that's clear
Thank you! I will be getting one this morning and I was a bit nervous lol.
Congrats! You’ll be very happy. It’s a great car and very different lifestyle from gas car
Great video. I’m not certain the “how to climb out of the seat of a vehicle” part was necessary. 😂
Lol did I really say that?
That was a game changer for me
When you push the button in and put the car in park, is that the equivalent of putting the handbrake on? So you can then take your foot off the brake pedal?
I'm going for my first ever test drive soon!! 😊
No that button is only for breaks, hand break is available in the touch screen I believe, I've never used it. But Tesla does have a break hold option.
Good luck hope you enjoy it. Let me know how the experience was.

Thanks for sharing
Nice video we have the model 3 too
Thank you, that’s awesome, welcome to the Tesla family
What were you doing with your foot when you said to turn on the turn signals?
I don’t think anything
The key card just sits behind the cup holders the whole time? Nothing holds it in place? What if it falls off?
Not the whole time, just the initial tap then you can remove it
But I agree there’s nothing that holds it in place
Thank you very much! Very informative.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks! Great video
Glad you liked it! Are you getting one?
Would be nice if you had shown how to shut the car down, exit the door and lock the car.
I can do that in another video

How come?
great video thanks!
Glad you liked it!
This is great!
Thank you!
How come there is no mention of an accelerator???
What do you mean?
why did the car suddenly became righ handed at 4:35
It's left handed but I probably used a different camera angle
Change language.. well i just rented a Tesla in France and it was in French. So o har to go see another video to get that straight 😊
I got mine in English so don't even know how to do that
7:57 the actual video start time. Thank me later
Why do you say that?
Nice Sharing
Thank you for the comment, very nice of you. Glad you liked it!
Nice guy teaching me how to use my fingers
When you learn to use the full hand you’ll unlock a new world 🌎
So awesome 😮
Thanks
Bro how do we charge the darn thing?
I can make another video, would that be helpful?
@@HowToKeepMore yea man you should. My sis got her car the other day took us awhile to figure out how to turn the car off, lol

Yes I agree it's important to have those adjusted. I made another video that actually goes over how to adjust them.
Thank you so much! Your video was very informative and helpful

Your Tesla don't have Aircon?
What’s that?
am I the only one that was confused which car he’s talking about 9:01

Thanks..I am a little intimidated but you helped a lot
That's great it's pretty easy when you've used it a few times

Haha this made me laugh 😂, now you know how to open the door
Promo*SM 😳
What's this?
The first 6 minutes is just telling how to get in the car
lol nice I hope you were to get in the car
True.. this is perhaps a detailed ‘How to video’ … by the way @howtokeepmore this was a good criticism, a point to be noted
Door handles from Lamborghini, gear shifter from Mercedes..lol
There's no gears in the Tesla
I love the lamborghini door handles 😍
I was referring to the Drive, Reverse, Neutral shifter- we call it gear shifter. Mercedes has it also behind the steering wheel! @@HowToKeepMore
Why am I watching this? I can't even afford a Tesla
You don’t get tax credit?
Wow, now I know why Teslas are one of the worst drivers on the road. Had no idea this was what they were dealing with. Whack.
why do you say that, Tesla allows you to focus on the drive and has less distractions.
Obviously a troll, and a hater too😂
There is no AC in that car?
Yes there's AC and you can control it with just 1 finger on the screen.
Hello, possibly your question was meant sarcastically. yes all Tesla's have AC, maybe not in Alaska because it's too cold and you only need heating.
Fuck it im buying 1
Glad I was able to help you make a decision
🤔🙄
Hope it helped
Moostafa lol
Who’s that?
I found him so boring. Talk about labouring points. Sorry fella but you could have said everything in a quarter of the time.
