Ok so there is only one negative cable on the DC converter and it should go to the fuse box. Then I have to split the ground cable from the DC converter and run they to the main battery pack negative?

Where do you connect fuse box ground to? Main battery pack ground?
You should run the fuse box to the voltage reducer which has it's own Pos out and Neg out. You can see this at the 2:06 mark in this vid.
