    Ive been using the new update for a few hours now and can confirm that there is no problems or lagg within the app. Read in some forums some people have problems with the app. Switching between different groups or adding groups are no problems either.

      Are you being paid by Sonos? I suggest you get into the real world and read the comments on the Sonos community, Reddit or Facebook. The update is a disgrace.

      @@northernhound3899 Thanks for watching, haha no i dont get paid by Sonos. I dont get why i get so much hate from you guys when i just showed the app and the functions i use. Sonos has deleted alot of features but i didnt use one of those features. Sleep and alarm is nothing i have used. Putting music on cue is nothing have used either. I use the app mostly to Trueplay and EQ nothing else. When i play music i use Airplay never have i played music from the app itself cause i never liked their version. So for me the app works just like it allways has. Nothing has changed for me. So you guys attacking me when i had nothing to do with the new app is strange. I showed the app and thats it

      The update has made my system unplayable.I can't even get onto the app.You are getting grief for not even mentioning that.

    There is no sleep timer, no alarms, no queue editing, I can’t add music to a queue and my NAS doesn’t show up. It’s a joke, a bad one. (iOS)

      Thanks for watching, yeah all those features are gone in this update. Sonos will probably add that in the future update. So many people been complaining about the new update so lets see what Sonos does 🙏

    I think it's a major downgrade. Amazon music doesn't work with it now, and you can't access local network devices. I think the UI is confusing and cluttered. Also, shouldn't these things be thoroughly tested before they're forced on to the users (customers.)

      Thanks for watching, Yeah i heard about the music thing and for now its just spotify thats working. I think Sonos pushed the new app way to quick without testing it out. But for me its working without any problems i have no issues with it

    This new sonos app is a bad joke. After the new app, I'm having a problem with the Wi-Fi connection, the sonos one won't connect.

      Thanks for watching, damn i see alot of bad comments about the new app. I thought that there was just gonna be a few of them but there are alot of people complaining about the new app. I hope Sonos fixes all the issues and features people wants fixed

      My app update went without a hitch
      And everything is working
      Every Sonos speaker is registered and working

      A comment you can’t use RUclips for testing Dolby atmos
      Because RUclips doesn’t support Dolby atmos

      @@jesperjensen1370 Exactly but i wasnt testing dolby atmos in that video. I was testing the app. If you watch my other videos you will see that when i do my tests i do it with real dolby atmos from Netflix, HBO or Disney+. 🙏

    I can’t work out how to add a song to the queue after searching for it
    *edit* just finished chat with Sonos support and they advise that this option is not included in the update. Such a basic feature to add a song to a queue. This means that this new app is worse than the previous app. Certainly teaches you a lesson to not get excited as updated apps does not mean a better experience. Still pretty shocked that they thought that was a good idea to release like that.

      Thanks for watching, yeah all those features are gone why Sonos have done that is a mistery. But for me i dont use those features so i cant really say. But Sonos will probably fix all those features in the future updates. I think that maybe they rushed a little with this update because sooooo many people are complaining about this update

    You’re doing a lot wrong here. You need to click ‘manage’ to go to the update section. Your Atmos demo is invalid because you weren’t even getting an Atmos signal, you were only getting Dolby Digital 5.1.

I never said i was getting atmos in the video all i wanted was to try out the new app. You can never get real atmos from youtube and im sure you already know that. Yeah i was new to the app and had to look up where to find that update section.

    I can find the tv icon. It seems like it’s stuck on music. I go back to the main screen and it pops up but I can’t control the volume. No issues with the music side.

    Hi as always great video. Do you think there might be any upcoming event this month from Sonos? I downloaded the update on my iPhone and iPad and the truth is that it did improve the interface quite a bit at least on the iPhone, on the iPad it doesn't fully convince me, although many on Reddit say they removed functionalities from the playlists. In my case, I was more interested in new features like the possibility of adding more physical speakers to the home theater or when grouping the speakers from the TV control, being able to raise and lower the volume together because now even when grouped it only raises the Arc and not the other speakers within the group, only with the app is it possible for now. I've also felt the app a bit slow when loading the first screen.

      Thanks for watching, yeah im gonna do a video on that tomorrow on what i think might come either this month or next. But my take is that Roam 2 and their headphones are coming. Thats why they have added the feature for you to control your Sonos system outside of your home aswell. But thats what i think cant really be sure when they will drop their new products. Yeah i wanted one of the features which was the search button within the music app. Yeah the volume feature is really awesome aswell im glad they finally added that for this update.

    Like the other users I'm finding the new app annoying. I followed your video and searched for a performer and it brought up an automatic playlist; some tracks I don't want but I can't delete them. How do I create my own playlist? It used to be that I would add an album, then another "add to end of queue" then "shuffle" them. I can't find those options anywhere. Every time I click on an album it overrides the one playing so I'm no further ahead on creating my own list. Can you help?

    DO NOT UPDATE! Unless you only listen to Spotify you will regret it. This new app is absolutely useless and should never have been released.

      Thanks for watching, yeah i use spotify so for me there is no issues at all and most features i dont really use either. Sleep and timer isnt anything i have ever used. I miss the quick EQ button next to volume to change EQ. But other than that nothing

    I can't access the eq by clicking on the volume. That is a terrible change if that is the new design.

      @@thisishazno8536 I got it. It’s fine. Trueplay has been giving me a real hard time. Only thing I miss from the old app is the numbers indicating what sound level you’re on. It’s there but on a different menu or whatever now. The rest of it is fine, no issues.

    The Sonos app is a joke. I can no longer access my library from my NAS. I can only play the music on my iphone via Airplay.... totally negating the concept of all music around the house for which Sonos was originally famous for.
    Its so fucked-up.....Whoever approved this app should be fired...

      Thanks for watching, haha yeah but keep in mind i dont use 95% of any of the features that they have taken away. I use the app to control the speakers and volume nothing else. Or yes i have started to use the alarm feature which is pretty good actually. But i feel you guys frustration its not like i dont know about the problems. I even explained why i think the new app is good but you guys still hate me for it 🙏

      Literally, my speakers won’t connect now and I have around 10. Worked fine previously. It’s maddening. Hope they sort this out soon. I can’t do a whole summer with no music. I throw a lot of pool parties. 😂

    I think the new Sonos app on iOS is very good. And even more so the web app. Only defect so far: it takes one long second to retrieve content from Apple Music. One clue about the future: shows HDMI when watching TV content. Could there be a non-HDMI option in the future?

    Buggy and slow on iPhone. No Amazon music working. Disconnections. The volume sliders never works perfectly. Not happy. Don't like the black icon. On MacOS no change. So you have different app on Mac and iPhone. Definitely not a good experience.

      Thanks for watching, yeah it seems like amazon music is one of the features they will fix in the near future. The volume slide has allways been something i hate aswell you can never reach the exact volume you want without it jumping a little to high or to low. I dont understand why they dont have - and + button like the do in the EQ. That wouldve been so much better next to the volume slide.
