- Day 3 of yet another wonderful adventure, Mary Poppins and I hiked 80 km across the Northern most part of Vancouver Island, we visited San Jose Bay and the Cape Scott Lighthouse, hiked through magical forests and across many picturesque beaches, I moved here to Vancouver Island about 6 Months ago and have been really enjoying exploring the Island.
Happy Trails Everyone :)
One hell of a trail! Magic. T.y.!
Great video, thanks
Son of a beach! That's quite a trail.
👌👌👌
What a cool cable car!
Thanks for the view of the North Coast Trail. Waiting for Day 4. The West Coast Trail was awesome and now you have inspired me to return to Vancouver Island for the NorthCoast Trail next year.
What more can ya ask for....hiking on beaches AND forests...Dream come true, LOL !!!
A cable car ??? Way cool. Mary Poppins has a new pack, what is it ?
That was some crazy trails, beautiful beaches and then roots and black holes. Cable car was pretty neat.
Great shots. I know you're dedicated because you had to make several trips for each crossing in order to get shots and retrieve the camera lol That would drive me nuts :)
Excellent footage. You should be a producer in Hollywood!!! HA! Do you take some kind of a tracker with you as I expect you wouldn't always have cell service on this hike.
Great video again. Man, the extra legwork you put into this one again. Amazing! Really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Martin, glad you liked it, it was a Great day on trail.
Yes, I agree! I appreciate all the work and the extra steps you made to film this adventure!
Wow, this is one awesome trail! It's a jungle trip... you have to watch every single step with all these roots and rocks and muddy puddles! The cable car was pretty neat! You did a great job filming, so thanks a lot for all your effort you put into these vlogs! Happy trails Hurlgoat and Mary Poppins!
Thanks Gabi.
Spectacular trip. The magic of the ocean and clearly magical forest. Appreciate your dedication to creating this video. It looks strenuous enough w/o backtracking for your video equipment.
Thanks John
Very impressed w/ camera on cable cars !!! Vancouver is def on my list to visit!!
I have never seen driftwood like that in my life. No problem for a campfire or 2 along the journey. Wow! Adjusting along the way. Great stuff.
That cable car was wild! Looked so fun, another awesome video, thanks for sharing! 😁✌🏻
Thanks Jeff, we sure did have a great on this trip.
For day-hikers like me, it's awesome to see you pack all that gear into such a tiny space. It may be ordinary to you, but it seems like black magic to me.
thats what i was thinking... a dude with arms like that makes this hike look easy
Best footage I've seen yet. My daughter had to get rescued by coast guard just past where this episode is filmed 10 days before you were there she couldn't find water after irony river.
How many of the headlands could you go around with a low tide or better yet a minus tide . I don't know in the short time living in the PNW have you or did you know that once a month their is a week of minus tides 2 times in one day ? Anyone who hikes the coast needs a tide book to plan for the lowest tide for great shots walking on the beach around them.
Maybe it was they way it was shot & edited but travels on this day looked slow going! The cable car was sweet!! Bummer the tide cut your day short. Fantastic video brother, thanks.
Thanks Zach.
Totally amazing videos !!
Hopefully you can teach your dog to hold the camera so you don't have to run ahead all the time.
You two are a great team.
Thanks Marty.
Are there trail markers? I don't see any of them on the trail. How do you know where you are going?
There is only one trail and it easy to follow, once you leave the beach just look for buoys there the only trail markers
It's so good to see you both hiking again!
I'm from the Pacific northwest and it is truly the most beautiful temperate rainforest in the world
It was Great to hike with Mary Poppins again and on Vancouver Island made it extra awesome, wish we had more time I would have loved to do it over 7-8 days.
Hope your doing well man.
Very beautiful! The fog makes everything look mysterious and folklorish. (not a word lol) You put in a lot of extra miles setting up shots- even had to go back for the camera on the ropes! Enjoy watching you guys and the camera work has been awesome as always!
How cool are those cable cars dude! Awesome!
Very beautiful area! It looked a bit tricky with the ropes and all but well done!
The Nallo in its element when it's wet.
What a f*****g magic trail!
Did you worry about Ticks
No I didn't think of ticks.
Seriously a trail like that is insane and dangerous! If you feel or you girlfriend and injured yourself you would be screwed! I love your adventures and I truly admire you for doing this but that trail is too much I feel but it’s your life right...
This hike was nothing compared to the Sierra High Route, there was really no danger on this short trip.
HurlgoatHiker Of course you know best ! I was just scared for you both I would not want something to happen to you so far in the woods.. Anyway God bless you my friend!
Day three is day two 😢
