I remember watching this during your PCT hike. You do eat a sh-- load of food, but I love the how your videos involve your camp and your meals. Keep the videos coming. 🦖
That is wonderful Cornelius I am excited to follow your adventure on the CDT I hope you have a great time on the trail.
love all .your videos. You keep everything interesting.
Cornelius I hope all is well with you I miss your adventures. Take care.
Hi Clara, I'm doing well.
I am working on another video now, should be ready in a few weeks
Looking forward to your GDT hike! Looks amazing!
Excellent video with clear trail guidance.
Fueling the body is so important. With all the miles you put in you need a lot!! Eat well, feel good, hike better. Makes sense. Thank you for sharing!
Great one Cornelius. I had seen it before in your PCT series. Already the fundamentals of great meals. Nowadays you completely rock the food, but the Pacific Culinary Trail was definitely a start. Hike on.
I too remember watching this! What a throwback to the past. I love it!!! My first comment is it the type of food, it’s the sheer amount, weight and space it will take up a pack. Although when crammed in a bag it’s probably not that big. :). Happy trails!!!
Absolutely love your videos. Really really nice dude. Keep it up !
Thanks Man!
Wow, great mate! Thumbs up
Stay safe🇬🇧👍
Thnx! I'm working on my resupply and snacking plans for this spring! Pct class of 2020! Nobo in May, thnx for the great advice as well... Keeping your energy up by snacking regularly throughout the day. I still struggle to eat as often as I know I should for the first few days on trail. Cant wait for trail legs and hiker hunger! So far to go! 😁 Hike hard! Be safe! Love life! ✌
Happy Trails!! Wish you all the best on your PCT hike.
I'm sure to a lot of people that looks like a lot of junk but with the way you hike you need every bit of it. Good to show what you take along. Of course the beer is just a treat LOL
Your a beast bro. It's kind of like what I take on a winter hike when I basically just hike 1 mile into the woods, but there would be 12 beers. lol
Dude! I got excited when I saw this post and suspected you might be hitting the PCT again this year. I leave the southern terminus in exactly one week on March 7! I will definitely be using some of your food tips (olive oil and especially actual butter carries) during my thru hike! Have an excellent summer and I will check in with your channel again once I’m off trail👍
Hey Scott, That's Awesome that your heading out there man, you will absolutely love the PCT!! I would do it again in a heart beat.
Wish you all the best weather man!
Happy Trails Brother!
Eating pretty good compared to some of the stuff I've seen elsewhere. Loving the beer, and seeing as its two nights worth those two next mornings will feel a lot lighter.
Wow! That's a lot of stuff. You've got more weight there than I did on a 10 day hike.
Geezus Christ. That's 15-20 lbs of food easily. I salute your spine.
Hope all is OK!!! Haven't heard anything from you in months? Let us know C!!
I'm doing well, getting out alot and enjoying my summer, hope to have a few videos up soon
Kewl!
On the PCT, have you ever had any really close encounters with grizzly bears, mountain lions or wolves and do you have any protection against such predators? Also, have you heard anything scary while you're sleeping? Maybe even some whooping, rock throwing or anything strange that might alert you to a possible sasquatch nearby. I've always been curious about that. You should do a short clip answering those questions. That'd be cool. Thanks man. Cheers from Cambridge, Southern Ontario.
Always enjoy your vids. Is your tent a Hilleberg? Model?
Yes it's a Hilleberg Nallo 2, I really like it!
Looks like you got whacked in the nose brother! Good luck on the rest of your trek
Where did you find the red beans and rice? We have Grace products at FreshCo but haven't seen that. I will definitely be keeping an eye out. Cheers
I bought them in the states. There are a lot of great hiking meals I cant find here in Canada.
@@HurlgoatHiker I imagine there are some products out there in BC from what we have here in Ontario. I make red beans and rice from scratch, guess I will have to pull the dehydrator out and get to work for this year's canoe season. But I will keep an eye out for them still.
Cheers.
Hey man, just wanted to drop you a line since haven't seen anything pop up on your channel in a while (crazy times, I know). Hope you are doing well! Take care
Doing well Jared!
@@HurlgoatHiker Oh man, I think you have me mistaken from someone else, lol. Sorry. Glad to hear from you though:) Hope you are well. Cheers!
SOBO on the CDT?
I will not be hiking the CDT this year, I will be hiking the GDT.
Whats happened to ya? miss your videos
I've been really busy, I will be releasing a series of videos starting soon.
@@HurlgoatHiker yay! can't wait ☺️😀
You Doing OK?
I'm doing good, still able to work and got into biking and string art Haha
HurlgoatHiker glad you’re doing ok . Looking forward to your next adventures . Your videos help us through these times
you are starting the CDT on my birthday C!!!!! So we should see the video next year some time??
I will be hiking the GDT not the CDT this year, I'm going back to school and don't have the time for the CDT this year although I would absolutely love to.
budd! i am starting to have withdrawals from you not uploading. everything ok? don't let this plandemic stop you from hiking and everything
Why you don't eat Larabar rather than Clif bars? They are way more healthy !!!
By the nice video !!
I have eating my self sick of cliff bars and can't do them anymore.
Sorry for cutting your nose sliding down it
I had difficulty watching the video when I saw the fantastic view through the screen of your tent. Granted, it is a nice tent. But...
That’s way to much food holy shit.
Haha not for me, I ate that all no problem. Hiker Hunger was at an all time high at this point.
