But now Im worried my tow mirrors are gonna be chrome, no bueno. Cant wait to get it as well. Aside from headliner though, the woodgrain trim on interior is blacked out as well. Great vid and thanks!

I did order the tow package and now I wish I knew I could have just ordered the trailer brake control. But I ordered in the beginning of May so Im hoping mid June or early July. Last I checked, my dealership said it got out of paint. Im counting down the days my man.

PapaBear 817 Thanks for making this video! My dealership had told me there was no longer a “Night” edition being made... which was odd because that was the truck at the car show reveal. Now that you pointed out the tow package removing the 360cam- I’ll def redirect back to the limited.
There may be a way to make it work as I am seeing a lot of different things going on with different dealers. One thing I can say for sure is that the Ram site, Dealerships and FCA are not all on the same page, so there will be growing pains for us the customers.
I would wait for the next gen Ford. The Ram is nice, but I was able to get most of these features on my ‘16 Lariat with the 502a package. See what next gen has to offer, imagine it will be pretty good with Ram making a very nice truck.
i test drove a new 19 Laramie last month and its a very nice vehicle inside and the ride is smooth but when i floored it too see what it can do i was very disappointed so its a no go go 4 me ..i like power and goodies when i buy a truck plus rams resale value is got too the worst ive ever seen plus reliability in ram is not as good as the f-150 ..ill stick with a truck that rules the road.
I test drove the new '19 sport while I was getting my oil changed in my van. I was blown away on how simple it was to drive compared to my '17 Grand Caravan, maybe they've cranked up the power steering? It was super quiet inside and you can't feel the truck change gears. Mind you it wasn't as equipped as this one but everything was great about it, much nicer truck than the previous generation. I'm patient enough to wait a few years when they go on sale, can't justify $67k CAD for a '19 Ram 1500 sport. Take care dude!

I agree, why would you make a trailer package and take away the 360 view which would help you with trailering. Absolutely a fail. You also loose the power folding mirrors for this same reason.
I worded it wrong. Instead of getting the tow pkg which is just tow mirrors and brake controller. You just get the brake controller option by it's self as found on interior tab in Build and price. Pretty sure the truck already comes with the receiver. Tow package says nothing about adding the receiver.
Oh wait I am talking about Limited sorry. There is that weird shit on the Laramie that when you add the 12" screen it forces you to get the tow package which then forces removal of the surround view. If you get the 8.4" and add the advanced safety group you get the surround view as long as you get brake controller by itself and not the tow package which again is just mirrors and brake controller. Or you can get a limited and just select brake controller. I feel like it is just a mistake on FCAs part or an early packing problem just for this year.

Beautiful truck. But I agree about the tow mirrors. GMC has pwr folding tow mirrors. Ford even has pwr folding and extending tow mirrors. Both with 360° camera's. And don't get me started on the manual steering column. I bought a 2019 Ford F150 Limited instead.

Bought a 2017 Night Edition last year. I should of waited for one of these! I hope they make a Night Edition for this gen of Rams. I like black trim with a granite crystal metallic body.

How much was this truck? I'm looking at something very similar. I want that sport look, but don't need the stuff from the Rebel. I like all black, but I'm from San Antonio so not sure if I want to get the black out. That being said, I want the panoramic sunroof + the 12" screen.
My dream build, I don't know how I feel about the tow mirrors being chrome. I don't like chrome, as it saturates the vehicle. Question, can you get the trailer brake controller WITHOUT the chrome trailer mirrors??

PapaBear 817 that's the best route to go with in my opinion. Taking the 360 cameras over tow mirrors is insane, rather buy 3rd party mirror extensions that you clip to the regular mirror when towing.
That is one nice lloking truck! Odd question but does it have the new R1234YK freon for the AC? I'm going to order a 2020 when the new emissions Cummins comes out. Regarding the 19 speakers, they count triaxial's as 3 speakers so it adds up fast.

I’m skeptical about moving on to the new RAM, my ‘15 Laramie is gorgeous and I’m still not 100% sold on the new look front end...nice but doesn’t look as masculine as the “old” Laramie mesh grill on the “old” front end. New interior is A+, but I’m looking for vids/opinions of owners who trade up to get their opinions on the new truck compared to the outgoing models. Any feedback is appreciated. Thx!
I think you can't go wrong with either, especially when the older model was tried and true and the newer model is so so. I think it will have to grow on some people. I think the 19 brings something new to the table, but that said with new you always run the risk of issues. I think it just depends on what you're looking for in a truck/vehicle. For me its all about the interior and comfort. A truck will always be a truck on the outside, but to me the inside is truly what separates them. Which is why before the 19 came out I was going to buy a Ford. Some people get trucks for the sole purpose of them begin work trucks, but I wanted a nice, luxury, cruising truck to be able to help with home projects, sports, etc... So that's why I personally went with the 19 Ram Laramie. If I owned a 15 Ram I think I would wait a year or two til the price dropped and they got some of the bugs fixed. Then I would be able to justify the purchase, because at the end of the day its the same truck just in a different body with a nicer cabin. Not sure if that was what you were looking for, but just my 2cents. But its your money get what you want, if you can afford it. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us!

Alexander Ford I believe you may have used the big horn model. You need to build around the Laramie frame for the full roof as of right now. Double check that with your local dealer. Hope that helped. Good luck on your build :) Im sure its going to be nice.
Ok looks like you can get the big sunroof on the bighorn but the dealer has to add it in there computer system. For some reason Ramsite not the same as dealers
Kinda funny how folks say they have no use for a 4 wheel drive truck so they went for a 2 wheel drive. You won't think you have use for a 4 wheel drive vehicle until well, you need the use of a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

I made that big mistake about the towing mirrors , because I wanted the 12inch screen and at the time I built mine truck on there website they forced you to get the towing packaged Now I want to get the regular power folding mirrors the way I always wanted and I don’t know what to do And the truck still on d1status they said It’s going to take another 4 to six week for the truck to be ready , Dose anyone can gave some thoughts about that situation I need help

Set your radio to bass 4, mid 7 and treble 8. Best sound for that system. I'm super impressed with the sound quality. I'm a audiophile. I got the white Laramie sport package. I need to find the black out badging though, I don't want no chrome!

Yes, black looks great when clean. I wanted black originally but, 3 of my friends have black and I live in Florida. Rain spots would drive me nuts. SXM sounds decent. Not better quality than my ipod connected though.
I've owned three black vehicles; the only time black vehicles look nice is the day their bought, and the day their waxed. Give black trucks much thought before spending your hard earned money, you may think your going to look cool, but your just going to blend with everyone else who drives a black pick-up.
So I’m looking at ordering one is that just the sport package or the black appearance package?? The dealer I was looking at it was one or the other and the black package didn’t have the sport hood any idea what one it actually was?? Would like some opinions on the ram box as well
Its just the Laramie black appearance package. It should give you 22" wheels, black headlamps, all black interior, black bumpers, black grille and sports hood. My dealer at the time didn't know what the black appearance package came with at the time. They thought it was just like the Big Horn blackout package. Keep in mind the Big Horn black package is a little different and comes with less than the Laramie. So thats probably what you were looking at. The Big Horn blackout package. And the rambox was something I had added but took off at the last min because I wanted to keep the build at a certain price. It was love hate for me. I like that you get the extra room but I dont like that I loose the space before and after the wheel welds. And I did not care for how tonneau covers looked on it either. I could see it now, my wife and kids finger prints and scratches all over the black paint from going in and out of the rambox which would drive me crazy. But thats me. Plus it was an extra 1k. No thanks I can make due w/o it. Oh and I hear the ramboxes are delaying the build time by at least a month. Hope this helps and if not try the forum in the description above. Its really helpful.

Its not the tow package its the tow mirrors. You can get the 360 with reg mirrors and tow pkg.

You can get the trailer brake controller from the parts dept and add to the truck while keeping the 360 cameras not that hard.
Really sick truck, I like the rims on it. The only problem is if I had one I wouldn't like the black color but at the same time it looks good.

Kinda funny how folks say they have no use for a 4 wheel drive truck so they went for a 2 wheel drive. You won't think you have use for a 4 wheel drive vehicle until well, you need the use of a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
suwadu moore I've owned 2 trucks, 2 suv and multiple cars and I can't think of one time when I needed 4wheel drive. Funny how you would pay for something you would never use. It just more money and more upkeep down the road. Thanks but no thanks. To each their own my friend. You may have a use for 4wheel drive, but not this guy.
I think the bedliner would work better than a rug in the bed.

I made that big mistake about the towing mirrors , because I wanted the 12inch screen and at the time I built mine truck on there website they forced you to get the towing packaged
Now I want to get the regular power folding mirrors the way I always wanted and I don’t know what to do
And the truck still on d1status they said
It’s going to take another 4 to six week for the truck to be ready ,
Dose anyone can gave some thoughts about that situation

Nice truck! I love the hood but my concern would be the black louvers turning gray like most plastic trims do after a few years.

The chrome mirrors and the wheels are both all wrong, but everything else is pretty smooth

Set your radio to bass 4, mid 7 and treble 8. Best sound for that system. I'm super impressed with the sound quality. I'm a audiophile. I got the white Laramie sport package. I need to find the black out badging though, I don't want no chrome!

Yes, black looks great when clean. I wanted black originally but, 3 of my friends have black and I live in Florida. Rain spots would drive me nuts. SXM sounds decent. Not better quality than my ipod connected though.

Give black trucks much thought before spending your hard earned money, you may think your going to look cool, but your just going to blend with everyone else who drives a black pick-up.

So I’m looking at ordering one is that just the sport package or the black appearance package?? The dealer I was looking at it was one or the other and the black package didn’t have the sport hood any idea what one it actually was?? Would like some opinions on the ram box as well
Its just the Laramie black appearance package. It should give you 22" wheels, black headlamps, all black interior, black bumpers, black grille and sports hood. My dealer at the time didn't know what the black appearance package came with at the time. They thought it was just like the Big Horn blackout package. Keep in mind the Big Horn black package is a little different and comes with less than the Laramie. So thats probably what you were looking at. The Big Horn blackout package.
And the rambox was something I had added but took off at the last min because I wanted to keep the build at a certain price. It was love hate for me. I like that you get the extra room but I dont like that I loose the space before and after the wheel welds. And I did not care for how tonneau covers looked on it either. I could see it now, my wife and kids finger prints and scratches all over the black paint from going in and out of the rambox which would drive me crazy. But thats me. Plus it was an extra 1k. No thanks I can make due w/o it. Oh and I hear the ramboxes are delaying the build time by at least a month.

The stereo is a big disappointment and the tow mirrors kill the 360 and power folding. Also the ac isn't getting very cold.
