I've read many of the general statements here and felt the same way regarding Ram/Fiat quality. I was ready to get a 2018 F-150, but felt the design interior/exterior was getting a little long in the tooth, but still nice.. I decided to wait to see the new 2019 Chevy/GMC Trucks and also the Ram that a friend dared me to check out. The Chevy/GMC dash or interior was such a disappointment. I wanted to like it, but outdated all ready and it's brand new. I liked the exterior, but interior killed it for me and lack of certain featurers. Reluctantly, I went to a Ram dealer. My God! How shocked I was! How refined the interior is laid out and put together with great material and feel. Seats are comfortable and leather is great! No plastic feel to this truck. The drive was wonderful and plenty of power. I know the the ecoboost 3.5 v6 is faster and has more torque but bottom line turbos have very expensive downsides. The motor in the Ram sounds good and generates a solid feel to get you going! Bottom line, I got past my years of hatred for Chrysler products to give the truck a try and bought it. To give me comfort I bought a Mopar Lifetime Extended Warranty as insurance if this truck let's me down. Don't buy extended warranties in dealers. You can get them for almost half off on certified Mopar warranty dealers online. Done this for all my cars and works great! Same warranty that dealers sell. Considering that recent Major recalls with Ford and GM with their trucks, I call bull on people that say no truck in this comparison is not without their drawbacks. I got what made me happy regardless of possible risks. My 2019 Ram Limited has been an amazing truck and I love saying that! Not a fanboy to anything. Just keeping it real!

I just spoke to a person that works for FCA and they are coming up with a prototype dual screen . One the 12 inch and then a smaller 10 inch on the front passenger. The passsenger will be able to find stuff for you as a driver , like restaurants and llnavigation on their screen and then slide it to the main one and you can acces your home cameras from the truck.
The new digital dash/speedometer is beautiful!

Those are noise canceling devices above his head in the headliner. I bought a Laramie about a month ago, and I love it! I normally have the stereo cranked, but when I don't that feature is awesome. I've always been a Ford guy when it comes to trucks, but this new Ram is great. The interior is so much better than any other in my opinion.

Have a 2015 Limited. Oil changes only to this point. (50000 Miies) Has not been in the shop for anyting. Great ride, great finish. Air suspension awesome.
Ram has been my favorite for a few years now. But this one is really improved in every way. About the only negative you can say about the truck is some of the old-timers will need some time to adjust to the new-IMPROVED styling. But a vehicle that will put a Cadillac to shame for luxury and comfort, and still has all the capabilities of a truck/suv? Well, it is hard to imagine a better "do-everything" vehicle.
aristein88 it doesn’t look bad, don’t get me wrong. But I personally preferred the previous design because of the more aggressive styling. Everyone has their own preferences though. Definitely a really nice truck.
@Gas&Brass Yea, I have a 2017 and LOVE the exterior styling (I plan to keep this truck for many years). But the new modern look, I think, is very well done as well. Everything has to change (i.e. led lights are smaller so the grill had to be redesigned, emission standards are stricter every year, so you have to make vehicles more aerodynamic, etc.). I think RAM did an excellent job upgrading all the improvements into a new style.
It is unfortunate that good things need to change, but new stuff just doesn't always fit into old styles.

You are one of those people that buy trucks for no reason, if you accualy worked out of your truck every day you would not buy something like this, this is something an office guy would buy

Just bought a new Ram 1500 limited 4x4 and I love it... without a doubt the nicest most luxurious truck on the market. The only thing I must correct you on is the mpg. Even in flat Kansas with easy hwy cruise speeds, this thing never does any better that 17mpg. and that’s even being generous. Great review otherwise. Keep up the good work.

I like the new Denali but the interior sucks.
Just drove the Denali and for the price, I was not impressed. They're nice but one thing that I didn't like was that they didn't have any AC vents for the back seats or a lot of leg room in the back.
Dan the car man so that makes dodge ram the biggest piece of shit on the road if you think gmc and Chevy are crap. You will Never see a dodge on my driveway. Dodge is the biggest piece of shit on the road.

Ah, yes. Aluminum. Now everyone wants to jump on that bandwagon. Regardless, competition is a good thing for the consumer.
Don't care much for the exterior styling but Ram's interior has always been spot on.
Trucks have come a long ways. Im old enough to remember when trucks were just trucks. Power steering and brakes, A/C and AM/FM radio was as loaded as they got. They werent all that comfortable to ride in on long trips, they didnt ride very good, and they didnt handle worth a crap. Then came the 80's. With the redesign of the F150 in 82 and Chevy's redesign in 87. More luxury features started being put in them. Since then trucks have gotten better and now they are just as nice or even nicer than some cars.
Just test drove one today. They knocked it the fuck out the park. Totally buying one.
This truck just took a shit on the competition. They ride like a 100,000 s class. The interior is the best on i think it looks the best.

I don't care about how much bed room I get, I got my ram box and my 6x12 trailer. The ram box is a big help, I don't see why dealers don't have many trucks with ram box available. They show it at the auto show, but not at the dealer.
( just in case someone makes a comment , ask yourself, do you really use the 1500 for heavy work? A lot of truck users just enjoy the luxury comfort. It's a Multiple purpose vehicle )

I am not a big fan of dodge. Still really love my Supercharged 14 Silverado. Not sure why, but new trucks don’t look like they should be used, but made as a Sunday driver.
AllTheWay Dave is yours a 6.2? My buddy had a 6.2 supercharged chev 2011...it was way to much power for that truck...really fun
When i became the sun.. mine is a 5.3 for now. When I go to rebuild and forge the engine it will be much larger cubes. To handle more boost and power.

I had to actually go back and check and yes it did say 6.4 avg mpg. That's when you know it's a testride vehicle.
When I first glanced at the video thumbnail I thought that you were doing an overview of your fiance's new 2018 RAM. Now that I actually read the title and clicked the vid I can see it is on the 2019 RAM that is grey with too much chrome like her's, but it is a lighter grey not the granite crystal she got.
You can get that 12 inch display in the regular Laramie trim for a whole lot less money and if you do go for it, please get the sports appearance pack, just like a certain trims of a GM truck all that chrome is blindingly atrocious. Nice review overall. I actually really like this all NEW designed RAM and if I could actually afford a new truck would consider it especially the RAM Rebel, have to wait and see the 2019 Silverado LT Trail Boss or GMC Sierra AT4 for comparison.

Really good for the price. It's very posh and luxurious it has power and cand go off roading with some tires and it can still tow a trailer and have things in the bed. It's a luxury truck, that can off road, tow, have a payload, and is quick. For under 70k

One complaint. Needs a console shifter. That gear selector is like the one in my jag. This is a truck and I’ve always liked the feel of shifting it into gear. Other than that it’s an amazing truck

Found a design flaw the front bumper and the body does not line up properly at the corners you can stick your hand in between the bumper and body, looking at it from the front it looks like its been wrecked...

I love the new style truck they are awesome looking I test Drove one and besides the new interior it felt like the old 1 I wanted to trade in my F150 But then I was like no Noways nearest fast And did not fell like a tighter truck If you're worried about fuel mileage They're not even in the same ball park

It’s probably the least efficient V8 in it’s class but the etorque system should definitely help.
GibsonOfAGun wrong tundra is worst then 6.2 gm then 5.0 then 5.7 tied with 5.3 paired to 6 speed auto. Watch TFL they test all new trucks towing mpg and unloaded.
The 6.2 10 speed gets 21 mpg with 25 more HP, the 5.3 8 speed gets 23 mpg. Idk about the tundra because that engine is an inefficient dinosaur.
GibsonOfAGun based off my neighbors personal experience, MPGs will surprise you with the best to worst, he takes home a different company truck every week.

Then the 3.5 ecoboost with 10 speed , 5.7 hemi, 6.2 GM V8 8 speed and 5.3 6 speed are exact same, 5.0 with 6 or 10 speed is exact same as Chevy, then Nissan 5.6 and Toyota Tundra 5.7
